They get two stars only because the waitress tried her best. Food was mediocre, but at least no one got sick. Kitchen was out of brat buns(!!), pretzel buns, mussels, and several other items our party of 11 tried to order. Bar was also out of several beers on list. Menu was full of mis-spellings. I had the veggie burger on a «fun». Lol. They spelled bun wrong on their menu! It wasn’t fun at all. Bun was soggy. I ordered sweet potato fries to go with it, and there was a bunch of unidentifiable fried bits of food plus two regular French fries on my plate. When I inquired about what the random fried bits were, the waitress returned from the kitchen to say the cook did not know but he «apologized». I still had to pay full price for my meal that included weird bits of someone else’s food! Gross!!! Dirty kitchen, bad management(owner/manager was unreachable by staff and not in house), cook could care less about quality. Seriously!!! Random bits of gross food leftovers in my fries!?! Totally disgusting. This place better shape up or they won’t be around long. Which would be no big loss.

Great place to drink outside, in summertime. I know the owner, so I wanna say nice stuff, but I haven’t eaten here, yet… It’s a gorgeous spot, right on the lake, with the dock/deck, connecting it with another popular summer spot. They’ve tons of great taps both inside, and on the outside patio bar. Sometimes, they have outdoor entertainment, and sometimes they are actually playing the music you hear. Just had the fried chicken here. It’s good. Service was good. Beers were cold. I see no problem.

NEVERGOHERE! I NEVER write reviews, but this place deserves one. After an unsatisfactory first visit, we thought we’d give it another try. Other than menu items being sold out both times, over-hearing complaints from diners nearby, and super-slow food service(during non-peak hours) the view of the harbor was beautiful. As a super-fan of this location’s previous establishment/ownership, I am very displeased as to what it has become. Newly overpriced drinks and bar top does not make for«renovation». At our first visit, all of our fried fish entrées were missing multiple items and replaced with something different. On our second try, the boasted chicken was a joke. You don’t get a choice for white meat and the pieces were so small. AND the staff, again, was rude. I frequent many dining establishments in the area and feel very strongly that the«new managment» is going to nickel and dime this place into the ground.

They advertise as having the NFL ticket, 13+ flat screens & being the place to watch the game. FALSE… The only game they care about is the Packer game. Asked for just one of the 13+ TV’s to be changed & needed a 5 minute discussion to get that. They have bands play during games other than the packer game. Why spend money for the NFL ticket if the Packer game is all you’re going to put on. The NFL ticket is for fans of teams that aren’t local. We would have had a group of almost 12 every Sunday but they refuse to stop with the bands playing during non packer games. Vikings, Cowboys, Steelers, Chargers fans all would be there every Sunday at least if they fixed this mess of a so called sports bar. Also on Sundays how do you schedule a bartender that doesn’t know how to make bloody Marys?

Came down to Kenosha to visit a friend before they moved away, and we were recommended to Wharf209 by some kindly old boat owner that we had ran into by the docks. We arrived there at 10:40ish, and walked onto the patio, where a server had told us that they opened at 11, but we were welcome to sit on the patio until then. So we sat, and waited… 11 comes and goes, and nobody comes out, and the door to the inside is still locked. We decide to walk around a bit, and see that there was another entrance to the building, and there were already people being served. Not awful, but we were sitting by a giant window, and nobody had seen/let us in. We’re not hoodlums. The service itself was good, and the patio was decent as well, outside of the uncomfortable plastic seats. We mostly ordered a bloody mary special that they had mentioned, that comes with a pretty large garnish including bacon and a chicken wing. Not bad at all! The bloody was a mix, however, it was still pretty good on a warm day! We didn’t realize they were $ 10 a piece though, so even though it’s not a bad deal for a bloody, beer chaser, and all that garnish, it was still a bit of an eye opener. The only other issue we had was that some of the beers that were coming out were not what were ordered(we did a taste test, two different ordered beers were the same when they came out). We didn’t order any food, but if the wings were any indicator of the quality of food, it’d be worth a second shot.

I came here for a week day lunch and was extremely disappointed. The cheese curds as an appetizer were good(and a very generous portion), however the veggie burger with sweet potato fries was probably the worst(of both) I’ve had — both patty and fries were hard as bricks, and the patio seating with river view were not even enough to make up for it. Service was sub-par. This place seems to have potential but I won’t return.

Order the Beer Brats with carmelized onions! And sweet potato fries :) on pretzel bun. They soak the brats in boiling beer The prices here are really good too, i got that for $ 7.50. They also have Summer shandy of tap and an outside patio along the patio,

Went for a Friday fish fry. We ordered an appetizer, drinks and the fish fry. The appetizer took 30 minutes to come. My fiancé and I each had 4 cocktails before we decided to leave. After waiting 1 hour and 45 mins, we paid our bill for the drinks and left. We never received our food. And when we told the waitress we were leaving, she said she understood and that getting food out in time was a problem for the kitchen staff. The appetizer(cheese curds) was mediocre at best.

Tried the Wharf 3 times and have not been disappointed yet. The food is excellent, prices are reasonable, the service is always friendly. The one thing keeping from a 5 star experience is there is sometimes a long wait for your food. The service and atmosphere makes sure you enjoy yourself.

I really wanted to see this place succeed. Unfortunately i wish i could say more… I have been a John’s Docks customer and the live music drew me over to Wharf 209, but after trying it three times in the past couple weeks I am out. The atmosphere is great — on the river, outdoor dining, live music… but reality really hit and it is three strikes you are out. Every time I had bad service, ok food, but wanted to keep giving it a try — hoping this great little spot on the river would endure the cold Racine WI. Now, after encountering the owner tonight — i will never return. I had a bad experience, tried to fix it with the waitress, got excuses from the hostess and the owner did not now how to be a businessman. Good luck.

We were excited to try out this place after it reopened and we were not disappointed. Everyone was very friendly and it’s a beautiful spot to be outside on a nice day. They had a band playing which was nice. We didn’t eat here but friends of ours that were with us did. Everyone was pleased with their meal and everything looked good. Basically salads and sandwiches. Only thing that was a little odd was that there were at least 3 different people that waited on our table. One person took the drink order only, another person took the food order and then a 3rd came to deliver the food and refill drinks. Not a huge issue, but it made it difficult to know who to ask when if we needed something. We will come back again!

We had high hopes that this place was going to be good. The service was very slow for not being crowded, and not ordering difficult apps/meals to make. I only recommend this place if you have 2 hours to spare for a meal.
