So far every pizzeria I’ve been too in Rahway started off being good. Plum tomatoe pizza is really really good. Their pizza, hot sandwiches and chicken wings. Is the best I ever had. Trust me when I say this. Go try plum tomatoes pizza you won’t be disappointed!

have been eating here since it was papa vito and it has seriously declined in quality since. ordered a few items about a week ago for my family, and the pizza was raw with toppings that had just been thrown on top (ordered a veggie pizza and the olives were cold, as if they were dumped out of a can). My husband ordered a cold sub and there was ONE — TWO slices of meat and cheese and about 90% lettuce. had to put a few slices of my son’s lunch ham on it to make it doable. the penne vodka is still pretty good, but they def. need to stop straying from the original recipes.

after reading the mostly great reviews & after experiencing mostly disappointments with other places i was excited to try this place
well, sorry to say this was one of the worst. ordered plain pie (best way to tell how good & tasty a pizza is to skip toppings) & eggplant parm sandwich
delivered about 10 mins late which is not a biggie but when you add on the fact that the pizza was a bit overcooked & more importantly you needed a magnifying glass to see the sauce – see pic you’ll notice not a drop of sauce or oil on my plate even though this was the 3rd slice. Sandwich just as dry & very light flavor (maybe because no sauce?)
Prices comparable to other places but sorry no sauce & no taste = «no mas»
Maybe they had a bad day &/​or a substitute cook but since I have a list of another 5 or 6 places to try this place will not get my business again

My favorite pizza place on earth. Everything is hand made. They even have their own soda! Crusty is delicious. They are a very homey place feel. They absolutely care about their costumers and are amazing. Go for the hot subs. Or their grandma pie.

Stopped in for some pizza with my granddaughter after shopping in the area. was expecting just an average piece of pizza but was pleasantly surprised by how good this pie actually is. we got a slice of Sicilian and a slice of eggplant pie both were delicious will definitely be coming back highly recommend

Honestly, this is the best all around pizza place here in Rahway since Rahway Pizza closed down a few years ago. The owner and cook are nice, the pizza is good and budget friendly, and the spaghetti is great! I can’t really comment on the delivery though because I’ve never ordered it.
I just recommend not getting a dessert. Last trip I came with the family, they gave us a hard cannoli that probably was store bought. Besides that, great pizza place.

Love the pizza and can’t get enough of the wings. I recently tried their egg plant parm and was one of the best I had in a long time from any where.. great food all around.

First, the address and website listed is NOT for Plum Tomato in Rahway.
This used to be known as Papa Vitos, but changed ownership about a year ago. Food is excellent for a pizzeria. Especially good is the Grandma Pie — better than anywhere else I’ve had it. NY style pizza, and the usual fare found at this type of restaurant. Not fancy, but satisfying. Set in back of a small shopping Plaza off of St. Georges Avenue, it’s hard to miss if you don’t know about it.
Also, the one other review here gave it a great one but for some reason only clicked 1 star. I believe, they did this in error.

Picked up white and sausage pie. Good dough, crisp crust, right amount of ricotta to mozzarella. White pie perfect, sausage good. Definitely the best pie I’ve had in the area. Located behind a shopping center, would not have found without someone suggesting.

Delivery to Rahway was only 30 minutes and the pizza came fresh. They remembered all the condiments and utensils I asked for which is rare for me. The Buffalo chicken pie was plenty for 3 people possibly 4 if you’re not too hungry. The crust was nice and thin with a crispy crust. Loved it. My only complaint was there was too much grease on the pizza and it should have arrived hotter than it did.
Mushroom pizza: canned mushroom, watery sauce, just nasty
