Rainier Budget Inn

This hotel is awesome!!! I was able to stay 1 ½hrs after checkout with no problem. Very quiet, with a great price and next time I visit family in Longview I will just drive over the bridge and stay here everytime!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE. We came into town for a festival. I mean for the price we didn’t expect much, it seemed fine at first. Definitely a place where sketchy people hang out. My friend had gone to bed and I came back later in the night to go to bed. I happened to open my eyes and saw a huge flat bug crawl out from under me. I instantly knew it was a bed bug. Sure enough I looked up pictures and it was. I located the bug along with at least five microscopic ones and a mid size one. All flat bed bugs. My friend is out of bed at this point and I decide to go down to the guy who seems to be running this place ‘Victor’. He instantly says «OH we have another room! Right here come look!» Uh, no. We wanted our money back. I said, «No thanks, we want our money back and are going to a different place to sleep.» He somewhat got in my face (definitely on SOMETHING). So I went back up to my room. We had friends staying in a neighboring room, obviously they weren’t going to stay. We all are packed in our cars ready to leave and trying to get the money back was a pain. It’s not easy dealing with someone who is either mentally unstable or (most likely) on drugs. Luckily a cop had happened to pull up so I had him go monitor the situation. We received a full refund — 65 $. Keep in mind this is all happening at 1 a.m. This honestly sucked and I could not say anything more to steer one away from this place. It’s honestly worth the extra 20 $ and 20 min to find a better hotel/​motel.

Great budget accommodations: clean, comfortable, affordable, nice location across from the river (and from a great Mexican place), and welcoming – particularly to cyclists! Victor, the friendly owner, gladly encouraged us to bring our bikes into the room.

Great service, huge rooms, and pretty cheap ($ 65?) = motel win! It doesn’t have the most quiet location, but hey, our room had a separate bedroom for one of the queen size beds, two TVs, a full kitchen, and a functional bathroom.
They’re open pretty late at night — I called in at 2am for a room.
