The absolute best breakfast spot in America. This review is complete! The place is amazing. No flaws. Matter of fact this is my first time giver 5 stars away and Another Broken Egg deserves it!

A friend of mine and I met up a few Sundays back for brunch. It was a little after noon, so we expected a bit of a wait, but we waited upwards of 30 or more minutes for a table. When we were finally seated, we noticed that there were several empty tables inside and wondered what the delay was all about. I’m not sure if they were just short on staff or what. The food we ordered was just ok, but nothing in particular stood out about it. I ordered a Turkey Brie and Pesto sandwich and my friend ordered grits with cheese, a side of sausage links and a side of biscuits. Our food took forever to come out, maybe even longer than it took for us to be seated and our waitress would disappear for long periods of time. All in all the food was just ok, but not worth the initial wait to be seated or the wait to have it made. If I go again, perhaps I’ll try not going on a weekend day around«brunch time», maybe things will be better then.

Terrible food and the restaurant was so cold we couldn’t even enjoy our coffee — would never go back…

Terrible service. We waited 5 minutes to even see a hostess. Then sat and waited 10 for seeing a bored acting waitress. Ran out of coffee. Asked a random guy. Still waiting on our food but over it after another 20 minutes. No sign of waitress no sign of food. Finally got it. 30 minutes from coming in. Dry omelette overcooked. For 40 dollars. Oh and the bird feeder outside is full of water and green with mold. Yum.

I visited this location for the second time and I must say I will not return. I was with a large party and requested that the food be brought out as it was finished, to avoid receiving cold food. I was assured that this would occur. Unsurprisingly, the food was cold! I ordered the shrimp and grits, which should not be consumed cold. This is the second time that this has occurred. The restaurant offered to bring me another dish, I declined. In addition to me, three others in my party sent their food back for the same reason. I guess I will have to find another breakfast restaurant.

First, I have to warn you … this place gets PACKED on the weekends. If you aren’t strolling in by 9:30, you should expect to wait. A while. Waiting for brunch — battling a hangover and counting down the seconds until you can order up a bloody Mary as a little hair of the dog — is part of the whole weekend warrior experience, so know what you’re getting into beforehand. The food is solid with typical brunch fare, but service can be a little bit slow. The overall experience is very comfortable, offering an upgrade for the diner loving crew who doesn’t want to eat in … well … a typical diner. This place is best when you can sit outside on a warm morning because the restaurant gets drafty in the cooler months with all the in and out traffic.

Stopped in for brunch and the restaurant was empty. We were seated immediately. This was my second visit so I was excited. We received free Beignets since it was a first time visit for the Mr. He order steak and eggs with a side of shrimp and grits and I ordered the omelet with potatoes. The food did take a few minutes to come up but when it did it was hot and made to order. The waitress was very attentive and kept her eye on us and stopped by frequently to make sure we didn’t need anything. Overall the Mr. was impressed so we will definitely be going back soon!

The breakfast was OK. I have had better. The potaoes looked and tasted like they were shaken out of a Costco frozen food bag. The potions were OK, but everything was so plain and lacked character.

Accidentally stumbled upon this place while waiting for car to be fixed on a Saturday morning. The service was amazing from beginning to end. We started with drinks. The latte was great and served in a cute store cup. The orange juice tasted so fresh that we had 2 and asked for the distributor before we left. We had the freshly baked cinnamon roll as an appetizer. Then, the entrée came. We loved the omelettes. I would definitely come back here again for brunch.

We have been wanting to come here for a while and finally made it. They weren’t crowded at all yet the service was slow albeit courteous. I ordered the crab stack which is a grit cake made of crab and has shrimp and andouille sausage green onions and peppers… quite tasty.

Came here for brunch on a weekday. Service was fine. Location was cute. Menu pretty extensive. Pros: coffee was good, especially paired with a free cinnamon role with a check in! Food wise the huevos rancheros were delicious… The crispy tortilla on the bottom made it. We also subbed grits for home fries which were awesome(buttery and clogged up a few arteries) but delicious. Cons: the hey Lucy was not so tasty. Barely any chorizo nor avocado in the dish. Egg tasted over cooked. Would definitely not recommend. Overall slightly above average breakfast place(thanks to huevos rancheros). Would be back if I lived nearby, but don’t think I’d make an extra trip out to Raleigh for it.

So, so is what I’ll say. I was very happy with the free cinnamon roll thanks to the Unilocal check in offer! Free is ALWAYS for me. It came out warm and oozing with icing and perfect for two people. That made me happy. While the menu items we ordered sounded amazing, they were pretty underwhelming to eat. Very mediocre, definitely like chain restaurant type food. Service was very friendly but slow. Our waitress disappeared for a while at one point and that was annoying. Cute coffee mugs, and casual atmosphere. 3 stars.

Unfortunately you have those moments in life where you tell your friends from out of town, «we have to take you to this breakfast place, it’s amazing!» Then you take them there when they’re in from out of town and have the worst experience possible. Our servers section she was taking care of was unbelievably large, and it’s unrealistic of her manager to think that it would be possible to attend to all of her tables and give the best service possible. We probably saw our server twice, the service was awful, period. Our food took 47 minutes to come out of the kitchen, and surprise, surprise, when it did, it was cold. I generally LOVE the crab cake Benedict, so I recommended my best friend try them; welcome to North Hills Another Broken Egg where breakfast is served as cold as ice cubes. I hate leaving bad reviews but, when you bring your friends from out of town to a breakfast joint, have an awful experience, cold food, bad service, and are overcharged for simple breakfast items, you one, never want to go back, and two, want to leave a review so others don’t have the same horrifying experience as we did.

Went there for Saturday breakfast with my bride. We had the powdered biscuits and marmalade. Oh God they are so good. My wife ordered the seafood and crawfish omelette and I had the bacon and sausage omelette. The shrimp in the omelette were huge! I am not kidding. My meal was delicious as well. This place is not cheap. Two breakfasts were $ 33.00, but it was really good. I can’t afford to eat there everyday, but I wish I could

Had our first experience here on a recent weekend, and I gotta say being an ABEC newbie has its’ benefits. Free biscuit beignet benefits! Complete with Honey/Orange Marmalade. Just sayin. Glad we told our friendly Server Gal that it was our first time! Note that they are indeed thicker than a doughnut-type beignet, and also less sweet, which meant dipping in the sweet marmalade made them pretty perfect. Husband chose the Hey Lucy Omelet: with avocado, breakfast chorizo, sautéed onions & green chilies with Cheddar-Jack. Sour cream & salsa on the side along with Potatoes. He was very happy with it. I had to try the Crabcakes Cavallo Benedict, and trying to be good(yeah right after the biscuit beignets… rolls eyes), chose sliced tomatoes instead of the potatoes. Also used further restraint and didn’t eat my english muffin.(Okay, okay… Never mind… yes, I know what hollandaise is made out of!). Let me just say… excellent crabcakes… very little filler, perfectly poached eggs, rich and yummy hollandaise… mmmm! Husband was very happy with the quality of his coffee(not an easy thing to accomplish… he certainly drank enough of it), and I was fine with my iced tea. Service was very good. I will say that the layout of the place made us feel a tad sorry for the hard-working Servers in that it is designed in a way that makes getting around a bit difficult. You have to dodge folks to get to the bathroom, for instance. Nice though that they have every type of seating available… tables, booths, bar stools and outdoor patio. We heard them say that the wait for outdoor seating was 35 minutes, for instance, while there was plenty of room inside. We’re happy to be inside-sit-right-away-folks!

I’ve been wanting to check out this place ever since I moved here, well today was the day. I was surprised that at around 8AM on a Saturday morning, they weren’t packed(they open at 7). However, the host sat a family before me & I waited patiently until a waitress came up & walked me to a booth. She ended up taking my beverage order(coffee). She came back pretty quickly & took my order of «the supreme omelet» & I opted for grits, instead of the standard«country potatoes.» SN: why are shredded hash browns hated on at restaurants? I have a hard time finding them anywhere. I waited a little under 10 minutes for my meal & another waitress brought it out. It looked & smelled amazing! The omelet was fluffy & the sausage, bacon, onions, & mushrooms was so flavorful. The grits were hot & really creamy. I was never checked on until I completely finished my meal. When my waitress came by, she asked if I wanted more coffee, to which I said«no», & then she walked away. At this point, I needed my check & was ready to go. She came back by & asked did I need anything else & I said, «no, just the check.» I had my card ready to give to her. She was quick to run the card & come back with my receipt. Overall, an ok experience. The food was delicious, but the service could use improvement. I love the menu selections & the prices are reasonable. Parking is good, especially with nearby parking decks.

Great selection of menu items and fast service. I ordered the beignets and Cajun potato skillet. The beignets had a slight crust to the outside but the inside was soft. The marmalade was fresh when you spread it over the soft center it was delicious. A nice combination of flavors. The Cajun potato skillet had crawfish and peppers in addition to the andouille sausage/potatoes. Another great choice off their menu. This place is very busy on the weekend but try it during the week and you’ll be glad you came!

We wanted to try somewhere new for brunch today so, we decided to go here. Both of us left thinking that it was okay but, that there are better spots for brunch in the Triangle. Our waitress, Terah, was fantastic though. The beignets were our favorite part of the meal — that and my husband’s orange juice. Orange juice wise — we aren’t sure it is always the same orange juice so, beware. If you had what we had today though — yummo! Both of our entrees were just okay — satisfying and nothing wrong — just not that memorable. We had the Southwest Scramble and the Huevos Rancheros. I did like the green chiles and black beans on the Huevos Rancheros(which my husband ordered). I wish that my Southwest Scramble had them on top — it would have been better. I liked the side of guacamole that came with the Southwest Scramble too. I was glad to have it and used all of it. The waiting area is very small. We arrived at a busy time(around 11am on a Sunday) and were packed in there to wait for our table. When the weather is better — the outdoor area would alleviate this problem. There just wasn’t enough space indoors to wait comfortably and many patrons were out in the cold waiting for their tables. A tip — download the Stealz app to your smartphone. We were able to get our beignets for free because of this app. That was a great bonus. Also, the Banana’s Foster entrees looked good.

Came here to have breakfast with my sister while I was in town. I ordered two eggs over hard, sausage and a waffle. I also ordered coffee, which come in these awesome coffee cups. However, my only complaint is that they didn’t have any creamers? The waitress informed me that they used flavored syrups. Who does that?(–1 star) I think creamers are necessary if you are serving coffee and you are a breakfast restaurant?! However, the waitress was nice enough to let me order something else, so I had a cuppuchino, which was just fine. My sister ordered the shrimp and grits and with some OJ and she was pleased… she had no complaints! Service was great and our food was deliverely promptly. Our waitress was a sweetheart also, so we enjoyed our meal and our food! I would come back here for a quick breakfast.

After a doctor visit in the area, my guest and I decided to go here for lunch — especially when a parking spot opened up at the front door :) We were promptly seated. Liked the décor. This breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant is not your average«two eggs, bacon, toast» breakfast place. While that is one option, most offerings on the menu are more unique. However we were there for lunch, and both of us ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. It comes with bacon, tomato, and lettuce and served with your choice of side — we both selected a bowl of grits. I added pepper sauce to my sandwich. Nice sized sandwich with a flavorful grilled chicken breast topped with thick wonderful bacon. Was a little disappointed with the grits, which I was hoping was similar to the stone ground grits that I’ve had at the FATZ café chain. I will probably return again when I am looking for a more special breakfast place.
