Dancing Moon is much more than a bookstore. They are a metaphysical wonderland. Books, tarot cards, incense and burners, CDs, crystals and semiprecious stones, malas, creams, oils, soaps, essential oils, and many other things. Their staff are super friendly and helpful people. Check out their programs too. They regularly have many interesting sessions on meditation, chanting, various natural healing. They also feature many local artisans. Buying there supports the community. We all love you Dancing Moon.

The one of the best Metaphysical stores in Raleigh. As soon as you walk-​in you can tell the energy here is positive (which is a lot to say compared to some shops). It’s also one of the oldest New Age bookstores in the area sporting a good 25 years in business (that should tell you something).
They have some of the best authentic readers and healers on their core staff. Their books on various topics are up-​to-​date (or at least the latest version), their crystals are super charged (and cleansed regularly), and their gifts are wide & varied (ranging from Smudging tools to Jewelry).
If you’re looking for Readers & Healers, here are a few I highly recommend: for Astrology (ask about George Ward), Reiki Certification and Past Life Regressions (Dr. Deborah Richmond Foulkes, Certified Medium), Crystal Healing (Brianna Foy), Pleiadians (Barbara Marciniak).

Love this place. They always have interesting people and special events that I find inspiring. I hold all the readers there in high regard but, Faith Parent Hendrickson truly resonates with me.

The Dancing Moon has been my husband and I spiritual home since 1982 when they use to be in that sweet little old house on Johnson Street. We moved out of state in ’97, but have been blessed to return. It is not an exaggeration that one of the top 10 reasons for our moving back was «the Moon». Do yourself a favor and support this awesome store.

Alway something new to look at when I go. They have a great variety of books and stones. The staff is pleasant but could be a little more friendly.

Just went in there to get some sage and check out some stones and the nice young lady that works there was helpful and has extensive knowledge on all of the stones, their meanings, what they are used for and what you need. I was vey impressed will be back to buy some stones for sure

This is one of VERY few stone shops in Raleigh, all other seems to come and go however this one has been well established for while some time. Tucked next to a tanning salon it seems go out of place but inside there is an array of lovely stones that you examine. Their Jewelry is beautiful and they feature a lot of one of a kind pieces, including a goddess ring that my friend feverishly debated between that and an Opal ring. Their incent/​oil section could be a little larger however the overall quality is great and I know I will continue to come back for more.

A metaphysical bookstore. For anyone seeking metaphysical accoutrement, here’s the place. The selection of incense from India and the Far East is as varied as you can get. They also have incense or smudges used in Native American purification rituals.
The incense and aromatherapy candles are the most noticeable as it’s the first thing you’re aware of when you walk through the door. The scents compete with each other, both relaxing and invigorating. Dancing Moon has every possible New Age interest represented. There are crystals, candles, cds and videos, essential oils, tarot cards, totems, tea, and chakra stones. In fact, if you have the stones, but can’t decide what to do with them, the bookstore part of Dancing Moon has it covered. (!)
Dancing Moon carries a full range of books on dowsing, palm reading, astrology, i ching, feng shui, channeling, reiki, healing, and also natural healing and communicating with your animal companions. (That’s one section I’ll avoid; my pets probably would tell me exactly what they think of some of the toys I bring home for them.) Are you seeking guidance? Pick up a tarot deck or some oracle cards, or a cd of music or nature sounds to help you connect with your spirit guide.
The store also has an area with business cards of available psychics, tarot readers, shamans, channelers, reiki healers, if your interests take you in that direction. Parallel to that, depending on your goal, you can also sign up for one of the daily sessions with the readers and healers who offer their services on a rotating basis throughout the month. Combine that with the monthly special events and Dancing Moon offers a full range of New Age services.
