Denny’s

First time ever dining at Dennys and i would say, coming in at one in the morning, my waitress Alysia was one of the best i have ever had. She was very nice and quick moving. Great experience. I will be coming back :3

It’s typical breakfast restaurant chain food, but they can have great service. The manager noticed us waiting this morning and made it a point to tend to our needs before the waiter came over. I usually get the red potatoes; they’re pretty good. The skillets are good as well. If you feel like some extra cholesterol, get the pancake puppies! They’re good, but not exactly guilt free.

This dennys is great! they are kid friendly, and they have a full bar!

Came in because we had free pancakes with the Stealz app and I really wish we just got them to go. As soon as we ordered our drinks I didn’t receive mine until well after the appetizer came out. We ordered pancake puppies which were pretty hard to eat. They took a while to come out, but it was in the morning and pretty busy. The waitress didn’t write down our order and of course it came out wrong. Service was kind of awkward, left a 20% tip but honestly the service didn’t compliment it. She wasn’t very attentive and when she was at the table it was just strange. She was also training someone so you would think that as a trainer she would be doing her very best! No more Denny’s for us, not because of service per-​say, but the food plus atmosphere just doesn’t do justice for me.

My boyfriend and I decided to go here one night to finally check this place out. Denny’s has always had good memories for me of family brunches and hot chocolate, so I was a little excited about the nostalgia factor.
When we arrived, there was a waiter screaming about a break as we walked in, before storming out of the building. I was a little apprehensive of the type of service we would receive after witnessing that. We were sat by the manager, Ken. There were about five tables around us, and I quickly realized that only one poor girl was taking care of everyone.
After waiting for about five minutes for a drink order (I wasn’t mad, Libby was running her tail off), Ken finally seemed to understand that maybe she might need some help and ambled over to our table to get our drinks. He seemed way more interested in trying to look down my shirt, than actually doing his job as a manager, and helping out where needed. Needless to say, I was a little creeped out.
Libby dropped off our drinks, and, given how busy she was, gave us amazing service from start to finish. She’s a true professional, and definitely deserves to be working somewhere that actually will appreciate her hard work, friendliness, and serious dedication to her job.
We ordered the cheese fries to start, boyfriend got a steak, I got chicken fingers. The food was good, hot and fresh. I definitely recommend getting the seasoned fries, tho. Amazing.
TL;DR Food was about what you would expect from a Denny’s, but Libby’s seriously amazing service blew me away. Management could stand to learn a few things from her on how the service industry actually should be worked. Great job, Libby!!!

Staff was fantastic. Food was great. Restaurant is clean and very pleasant. Waitress was one of the best I’ve had in years, anyplace.

The food here is classic Denny’s. It was good, but service was poor. Never got a coffee refill at the bar.

Waited ten min to get seated. Got managers attention when waiting and he was rude about me getting his attention. And has since been rude and short with me. Had to get my own high chair and then my table was dirty. Now I’ve been waiting 15 minutes in a dead restaurant for a salad. Not impressed
Edited.* just before I left I flicked off a bug and assumed it was a spider. I sat uncomfortably till my dad finished his food and we immediately left, where we once again had to deal with the very rude manager. This morning in my shower I found a tick on my side. I don’t go in the woods, I’m no where near ticks. Its the same color as what I assumed was a spider. This place was disgusting, full of rude employees and a manager that seemed to be hitting on all of the female employees. I’ll never go back. And you shouldn’t waste your time either. So gross. A TICK. I GOT A TICK. EW.

I have several issues with this location and this visit is no different. We were seated quickly however, our waitress quickly passed us off to another server who was not ready to take an order, staff just oblivious to people.

It is very clean and neat. The food was good The only problems i had was this hostess area and the service. We ended up waiting 25 minutes instead of the 5 – 10 they told me. Coming from a background in hostessing they really were slow and did not clean off tables very fast. One of the hostesses had an attitude made of poo and the other only moved if poo attitude told her to. No team work at all. The server started out good but ended not good. Good luck if you need a refill on drinks or a syrup.

Tried to have breakfast on a Friday morning. Got seated. Took 30 mins to get a server to even visit us and take a drink order. Get the sweet tea for my hubby and a cup of coffee and creamer for myself. I ask the server if we can get some utensils — hard to stir coffee without some. We finally left after about another 30 mins of being unable to get the server to even come see us. Spoke with manager on the way out. Side note: not sure this was a problem with the server but a problem with the manager who left this guy alone with far to many tables — Kevin our server was clearly busting his butt but was sadly overwhelmed. Honestly, I miss Quentin — he was a stellar server. Not sure we will ever try them again — my husband was so angry.

This location is a welcome addition to the area. It’s new, clean and so far I’ve yet to receive bad service or a dish that doesn’t meet expectations.
It operates ²⁴⁄₇ and has a bar.
What’s not to like?

Been there twice, slow slow slow both times. Food is ok. Service so so. Won’t be back for the third time. Merry Christmas!!!

I went here with my mother and the service was terrible!!! Not only were they slow with our food, but we ordered a dessert from the Manager of all people and it never came. We sat for 10 minutes and nothing happened. So we had to leave because she had to go to work and the guy at the cashier tried to charge us for food that didn’t come. And he forced us to pay for it. I will never eat here again!

Service was great, but meal was lacking. Been here twice, probably won’t be back.
They don’t how to make a BLT or Hashbrowns.

The food was great. The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean. I have had great food and great service every time I have been to this location.

Let’s be real. This is Denny’s. Food is decent, service is pretty good and it can be loud depending on other clientele, but it’s a good value. I’ve been here 3 times and it seems Saturday afternoon is the busiest and also when they utilize their worst servers. Free kids meals Wednesday and Saturday 4−10pm. Great selection of sides for kids meals.

This is a brand new restaurant in Garner off 401. It’s clean and even has a bar. I will say that it was strange we had to wait 5 – 10 minutes when most of the restaurant was empty. Must not have enough wait staff.

Finally got a chance to check this restaurant out tonight. I stopped in two weeks ago w/​my daughter around 6pm and the wait for two people was 30 mins, even though the restaurant seemed to be lightly filled. That should have been a warning, but since I’m stubborn and since my daughter really wanted to try it, we headed back tonight.
At 5:45, we waited about 5 mins and once again, the crowd was light. The waitress was reasonably attentive, but I got the impression that she was waiting a fair number of tables. We were seated in a rear area of the restaurant and again, I got the distinct impression that this is where they seat you if you have kids less than 12 since there was another family with a similarly aged child in this area and no children appeared to be anywhere else in the restaurant.
I had the Turkey Burger w/​hash browns and a side of grilled zucchini. The order took a long time to come out. Not really sure why because again, the crowd was light and how long does it take to grill a turkey burger? In any event, the food was tasty, or maybe I was just hungry. My main complaint was that the side of zucchini was TINY! I posted a pic of it so check it out. I mean, it was only $ 1.89 but it’s ZUCCHINI — the most plentiful vegetable known to man almost. The same stuff that people beg others to take in the summer because the harvest is always so bountiful. I mean, I realize that it’s February, but I seriously doubt that Denny’s is practicing local sourcing so I’ll figure that wherever it’s coming from, it’s probably readily available. No need to be so tight with the portion!
Other than the tiny grilled zucchini portion, the turkey burger was reasonably good, but the downside of it was that they used shredded lettuce piled high on the sandwich so after a few bites, most of that ended up on my plate. Not too big of an issue, but more of a hassle than anything.
So, overall, this was a disappointing visit. I would consider going back, but probably will stick with the other local Denny’s (Wake Forest Rd) where I have had much better experiences. Of course, this location is new, so maybe I’ll give them a few months to work things out and head back after that.

best Denny’s I’ve been to. Quick service and very friendly. Plenty of parking too.
