My first visit was 5-star(lavender cupcake was awesome)! Second visit not so much; I recently went back for a special treat and upon entering, no greeting. The girl was helping one lady and there was a father — daughter combo seated enjoying their cupcake. As was I looking over the menu a few more people came in and were greeted immediately while the girl was still helping the initial customer. Afterwards the girl asked what I wanted and I ordered a chocolate truffle & hazelnut cupcake. I asked the girl what cake slice flavors there were while pointing to the ones she had on the back counter. She replied ‘they’re all on the menu’ & proceeded to ring my order up. After her huffing while I briefly looked for change she didn’t dare to say thank you or have a good day. Besides the absence of decent customer service the cupcakes were distasteful. Not sure if I’ll be back anytime soon especially since there’s a cupcake shop on every corner nowadays.

Called Edible Art a few days before a holiday party where I was expected to bring a sweet dish… Well naturally I can’t bake to save my life so in order to spare myself the trouble I decided to just pony up for a delicious pie or cake… Made by a bakery. The woman I spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful with prices and suggestions and after a few minutes I decided on a pumpkin pie for the party. The price ended up being about $ 22 which was a bit steep but I didn’t mind because they were able to fit me in on such short notice AND because the pie ended up being freakin’ delicious. The filling was creamy and the crust flaky! Even the whipped cream on top was delicious(not too sweet which is always a welcomed surprise!) I received a ton of compliments on it and was able to enjoy a leftover piece the night after which was still quite good. I have not enjoyed anything but my pie from Edible Art but I imagine i’ll be back very soon to experience more of their treats!

Pretty decent cupcakes here. Quality ingredients and quality products. The butter cream icing is awesome. The actual cake is soft and moist. Flavors are definitely present. Prices are pretty good to. Only $ 3.50 I think. Not bad compared to other cup cake places around. On Tuesdays is half off cake slices and cup cakes, so that’s a plus… Whenever I come back to Raleigh I will come back to this place again… Clean store front and very nice staff. A in my book

Edible Art has the best cake I can ever remember eating! The Almond Amaretto cake is heaven on earth! I first had it at a family function and when I recognized the name of this place driving by, I had to stop in for the sweet tooth. I was pleased to find out they give you what seems like darn near half a cake as a «slice». Sooo good! I usually really dislike cake with any amount of icing that could be considered«a lot». Well their cake has a lot of icing and it is super good. The cake itself is really nice too. Really nice staff and quick service also. There are some old pictures on the walls which I thought were cool. The cake and the pictures proof they have been around a while. Do yourself a favor and try the Almond Cake.

I’m really surprised at all the positive reviews for this place. I had the strawberry cheesecake from here last week & it was disgusting. I have also had a cake done by the downtown Raleigh location & that was dry & nasty too. It was pretty but that’s it. we were given a refund & they were nice about it but the product is not the best.

I loved the cupcakes here. I got the strawberry lemonade cupcake I almost ran off the road it was so good. I can not weight to try other favors. It is not very often you get a cupcake that is beautiful and taste good.

I called to order a cake for a bridesmaid luncheon 2 weeks before the party. I wanted a specific color to match the dresses. I was told to bring in a picture one week before, I brought in the invitation which had the color. When I arrived, I was told they weren’t taking any new orders because of graduation season. I explained this was not a new order, the order was already taken over the phone. They refused to honor my order and said they had no record of the order. After heated discussion with the surly manager, they still refused. They could have made the cake, they just wouldn’t. This poor level of service has forced me to never use them again and I have notified my many colleagues about the situation and have urged them not to do business with them. ZEROSTARS

I have gotten a few cakes from here since I have lived in the Raleigh area(including my wedding cake). Amazing cakes! Their cake is heavy and rich and is kind of similar to pound cake. The frosting is thick and creamy and legit. None of that sugary fluffy stuff here. Their cupcakes are definitely way different than the cake. The cupcakes are lighter and more airy than the cake. I personally love their cake because I like the heavier feel to it. Both are still yummy. We checked out their new location in north hills a few weeks ago. It is very visible when you turn into the main entrance-zip rime real estate. It is very clean and open inside with seating to enjoy desserts. They have displayed many of their cakes so you can see how creative and artistic the icing/presentation can be. I got a slice of vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream frosting and my husband got a cannoli puff. Th Puff was good but tasted more like a normal cream puff. My cake was delicious(per usual). Unfortunately the service was less than ideal. The guy who took our order seemed distracted and rushed us. He was not particularly helpful or friendly. When we got our desserts, we were not given forks or napkins and neither of which were set up on one of the counters(but sugars and coffee accessories were). We had to wait five minutes to get someone’s attention to get us a fork after we paid Just to enjoy our goodies. It was disappointing. I definitely won’t stop getting their cakes, but I will probably wait to enjoy them at home.

I’m all for a good cupcake and Edible Arts seemed to have an impressive array. I chose the honey lavender and let me tell you there was nothing honey or lavender about it. The frosting tasted like that vanilla crap that comes in a can. Like, seriously? Are they even trying? And as much as I concentrated my taste buds to detect any hint of honey lavender, all that was left in my mouth was the threat of diabetes.

SLOW!!! Do not come here if you are in a hurry. Terrible customer service as well, 4 employees walking around all helping the same older woman.

Love love love this bakery. Have ordered multiple birthday cakes and just cake by the slice. The Almond Cake is amazing. They aren’t the cheapest bakery around but for the size and taste of their cakes/pieces of cake I find them to be a good value. I’ve taken these treats to work and they got rave reviews from everyone at the office too. I found the cupcakes were not as well received as the cake from Edible Art. While I thought the cupcakes were ok, I find the cake to be outstanding.

I have only had the lemon cake each time I’ve gone but I love it. I’m only giving it 4 stars because it’s a bit overpriced at $ 5.95 a slice and because I haven’t tried anything else. Plus the customer service is good or bad depending on who waits on you.

Amazing cupcakes. Great to finally find a shop that sells quality cupcakes that are worth the price. I’m over paying $ 4 for a miniature sized cupcake that’s dry and bland.

I stopped here after having lunch at firebirds. Fortunately I was the only customer in the place so I had the opportunity to choose from several desserts. I chose the lemon ice and hummingbird cupcake. I couldn’t believe the size of the cupcakes. I took mine to go so the containers they use are really helpful and keep the cupcakes intact. The only caveat is the price. I paid prices like this in Chicago for cupcakes but I think for Raleigh these are a bit pricey. Both of the cupcakes were delicious and maybe next time I’ll try their signature almond ameretto cupcake.

While Edible Art’s creations are GORGEOUS, I have to give them 3 stars due to only the A-OK taste and prices. During a walk around North Hills we decided to step into Edible Art for an afternoon sweet treat. I ordered the Chocolate Salted Caramel cupcake and my boyfriend got the Fresh Apple Spice cupcake. All the cupcakes are beautiful and they all looked very tempting. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the taste since the presentation was just so fabulous and the taste didn’t match it. The pretzels on the top of the icing for the Chocolate Salted Caramel were either a little stale or they had been sitting in the icing for so long that the pretzels soaked up the moisture. It just didn’t help the flavor of the cupcake for me. The best part of my cupcake was the center of the cake where it was filled with more caramel. Also, the cake to icing ratio was just too much in favor of the icing for my liking, but if you are more of an icing lover then this might be a good cupcake place for you. One thing that I did really like about Edible Art was the to-go containers for the cupcakes. Basically it is a container made specifically for cupcakes, where the cupcake is not going to move around and your icing won’t get ruined by the container. So this is great if you are looking to bring a surprise treat home for someone! As for the cost, I do feel like it was a little overpriced as the cupcakes were $ 4 each. While they were large cupcakes, I’m just not sure that it tasted like $ 4 to me. Overall, I think I prefer other bakeries such as Sugarland and the Cupcake Shoppe. I would be willing to have Edible Art cupcakes again, but this experience just doesn’t have me in a rush to go back.

My parents recently celebrated their 26th Vow Renewal. We’ve never ordered a Wedding Cake from here and it was AH-MAZING!!! The cake tasting was even better. Everyone was super professional! I designed the cake for my parents and brought color swatches to the tasting. Everything was spot on!!! The Raspberry Lemon was to die for! Also they delivered the cake SUPER early to the venue which worked out great. Thank you everyone at Edible Art for your hard work!

Excellent! I’ve been twice now and always had a great experience there. I really love this quaint sweet little bakery. Last year I ordered a dozen cupcakes for my best friend’s birthday. We had strawberry lemonade and I believe the other half was a special margarita flavor. Strawberry Lemonade was made with lemon cake infused with strawberry syrup and topped with vanilla buttercream and a candied lemon wedge. They were DEE-liciUS!!! They were huge, moist, and not overly sweet. Because of the size, we cut them in half and shared them and my friend had leftovers to enjoy later. They have deals online, particularly with Groupon, so a few months ago, I ordered a dozen for a friend’s surprise going away party. They’re really easy to order online. I loved that Edible Art, again, let me order half dozen one flavor and a half dozen in another flavor. We had a half dozen of their classic Vanilla Pearl: Delicious vanilla cake with real vanilla buttercream, garnished with sparkles and edible pearls! Then we also had a half dozen of Chocolate Salted Caramel: Moist chocolate cake infused with homemade caramel and iced with a real chocolate buttercream and butterscotch chips. See attached picture. Pardon the forks on the side and smearing of icing. A couple got a little unsettled in the car and I had to halt everyone from eating them until I got a picture! This place is an absolute delight. I’ve only had the cupcakes, but the other items they make look quite exciting so I’d love to try them another time. Please note that they are a little pricey, but their work is original and pretty good so I imagine the unique elements of their business contribute to the pricing.
