Enterprise Rent-A-Car

This location is consistently one of the best locations that Enterprise operates. While I can understand some of the reviews, it is up to the renter to go over the contract in it’s entirety and understand exactly what it involves.
Never had an issue here and will use them more in the future!

I noticed a lot of poor reviews from around a week ago when I came on here. When I rented from this location, the new manager, Kira, had been in place for 3 days.
She helped me personally when I rented and was excellent. Prompt, friendly service and she made sure that I was completely satisfied with my experience.
You could also see this filtering down to her staff. When I checked out, their driver got me home even though it was nearly closing time.
Poor reviews should be taken seriously, but keep in mind that changes have been made here. I look forward to renting again.

The car was very clean. It was nice and ready for us when we arrived. Enter Jake, who is trying to make comission. After going over the forms inside, we go out to do a walkaround. As we are doing this Jake asks my girlfriend, very casually (while we’re inspecting) «by the way did you want some basic or full coverage». We didnt want any coverage, so she just said basic. He immediately stuck the paper infront of her to sign without going over pricing points. Turns out, that coverage is $ 90. We call them back to say how there was a mis understanding that we were never informed that there is any sort of price attached to this, because, again, smooth Jake just snuck that one in.
Then began the back and forth phone calls. Enter manager Brent Walser, who is the the absolute worst at returning phone calls when he says he will. Going back and forth with this guy. Tells us theyre willing to «split the cost» so Jake can keep a little of his commission (that explains the smoooooth «just sign here». Nice move Jake.) After declining this offer, he said they will call us back by end of day yesterday (8÷12÷15, I am writing this on 8÷13÷15). No call. Thankfully we used American Express to book this (who have the most amazing customer service by the way. Enterprise, you should look into it) and disputed the charges. So now Jake and Brent can talk to them.
We could have asked about the charges just as much as Jake should have mentioned them. I am not as upset about the charges, as I am with Brent and Jakes lack of trying to fix the situationand their lack of promtness. If you say you will call at before noon, call before noon. Not 12:45. We work jobs and cant sit around waiting for you to finish lunch and take a nap before you call back. They were extremely terrible in trying to fix the situation. Instead of getting into a heated argument, offer me two days of free economy car rental? Maybe 20% off our next booking? Something to make us come back again and give you another shot. Ever hear «Your customers are your best sales people»? Theres a few good books on Amazon.
So please be careful when you go over there. Make sure to ask questions about everything they throw on the table.

We live near by and we only have one car, so we use Enterprise whenever we need a second car. There was a woman who was very upset when I was there (not at Enterprise, but someone else it seemed) and they handled her with a high level of professionalism. I was in and out quickly and with an upgrade «for being so nice». Since I was renting because we only have one car, I was informed that they sell cars also, but was not pressured. Nice and easy experience.

so first i called enterprise on wake forest rd and jake answered the phone i gave him my name and info. jake then said the rental car was scheduled for down town and i had to go there. but per the insurance i was told i could go to any location to pick up my car. jake said no i had to go where it was scheduled down town. so i called the 800 number the lady said jake could have changed it. so she placed me on hold and spoke to «v» manager and told me to call back and ask for him. i did and «v» tried to say jake would have never said that. ok how the heck i get jakes freaking name? duh? i always make it a point to document. jake simply was not about the customer service and «v» simply wanted to make them look good. not!
worst!!! experience ever!!! spoke to «v» the manager before i came to pick up car offered me 3 different cars. said upon arrival we could look at several to see which i preferred. he knew this was through the insurance company. so when i get there he says there are no cars except this 2014 jetta. they bring this car out dirty!!! dirt on floor mats. dirty crumbs or something in back seat. windows all smudgey in the front, sides, and back of car. i got in that thing and said no i cant do this. it was literally like they just got that car back from a customer sprayed it off with the water hose and just drove it up to me.
after i complained. todd (new there was awesome) that young man offered to go clean it for me. i felt bad for him. he was new at the front desk with immaculate customer service. but to bad he was there with the other staff that i encountered who had no customer service. i hope enterprise saves todd. so while todd was out there cleaning my car. the staff that cleans cars was sitting in the back of the office laughing and talking. really? whatever. todd was awesome but everything else at that enterprise sucked!!!
so the tags expired in april i called wake forest road was told no cars available. but told i could go to any enterprise to swipe it out. sooo didnt feel like doing the enterprise pass the customer around again. so again called the 800 number. i got a very sweet lady who placed me on hold and literally called around to all the local enterprises to find me a car. the only thing she found was at the airport. so i drove all the way out of my way to the airport to only be told the tags are good for 15 additional days even though they were expired. i asked to still trade out the car because that drive was way out of my way. so they brought me this tiny older black lil car. and said thats all they had! i said the 800 number told me for you all to check with alamo and national etc but yall would find a car. first they brought out this nice kia. but the lady said the guy said no i could not have that one. so the driver took it back. and i was told that tiny lil old black car was it. i kept the expired tag car.
i really wish hertz would take over all car rentals and run enterprise out! enterprise is not customer savy or oriented at all! horrible and i mean horrible!
or either enterprise needs to clean house. you can teach a job but you cannot teach customer service! either you got it or you dont!
todd at wake forest rd enterprise is the best thing they got going there.

I have been using this location for work weekly for years with great service. In the last three months it’s really gone down hill. I get an attitude from all their employees. Wait in line for ever, and almost get hit in the Parking lot by the guys who «clean» the cars racing them into the parking spots. I’ll be taking my weekly business elsewhere.

The guys here are great! Wonderful customer service and clean dependable cars. Last rental was for a week where I was taking a long road trip. Was matched up with the perfect car. One with great gas mileage and plenty of room. For rentals, this is my go to place.

I received a warm welcome upon entry in the building. The gentleman greeted me with a handshake and a smile. He introduced himself as Matt. He began to gather my information and shared that an upgrade has been made on the car I would be driving and I was surprised to learn that the cost was more than the $ 30/​day allotted by my insurance company by approximately $ 3. When I asked about a smaller vehicle he replied they didn’t have any cheaper cars today but that we would make arrangements for a car under my $ 30 daily limit and could pick it up the next day. I sluggishly agreed. Another employee overheard our conversation (I’m guessing it was Matt’s supervisor) and he told Matt to make a change to my daily rate. Before walking outside to inspect the car, Matt provided me with his business card, he held the door for me and then we proceeded to look over the vehicle. To say that Matt was thorough is an understatement! He was very detail oriented and noted each and every ding, scratch and stain! He was clear in reviewing coverage options and I never felt any sense of pressure to purchase any «extras!» Thank you for such a positive experience-​keep up the good work!

Love the folks at this location! Super friendly, able to greet everyone with a smile while checking out cars, checking in cars and answering the phones — all at the same time! I rent from here often and it is always easy and a great experience. Highly recommended!

My wife and I regularly rent from these guys and every time it’s a great experience. The staff is always friendly even when they have a lot of customers in their and they always get me in a car that’s clean and ready to roll. I really like the occasional free upgrade too!

I rent almost every week and have to say that the team at Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car on Wake Forest Road is the BEST! My cars are always clean & ready to go when I arrive. The folks behind the counter are always courteous, professional & willing to do what it takes to provide an excellent customer experience. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I can get a ride but only if I drop the car off at a different location!
I rented a car for a week and just dropped it off at the same location. I was offered a ride in a somewhat disheartened employee and after I told her my address she said she could not do it because there was a closer location to my address and if I wanted a ride I has to drop it off there because it would take her driver too long to get there… so I googled the other address and here is what I found out:
My house is 6.7 miles from this location
The Enterprise she wanted me to go drop this car at is 1.8 miles away (Capitol blvd) which is 4.1 miles from my house. According to Google the time difference to cover the additional 2.5 miles is 3 minutes.
You would have me drive out to another location to save yourself 3 minutes of driving time? Do you call this customer service?
This is a sad example of poor judgement and what happens when people try to pass the buck to so someone else, which earns you this review.
