Hudson Belk Crabtree Mall

This one is MUCH better than the Cary one. Good selection, nice sales people. They have brands that the online Belk doesn’t have. Easy to find someone to check you out.

I’m usually very patient and understand that tackling the mall close to the holidays is not a good idea, but the «charity» pick up at Belk’s was very unorganized and frustrating.
Please overall the pickup method in the future. I’d hate to stop participating based on lack of basic warehousing skills.

Good luck with the wedding registry department. I’ve never seen a more unorganized place. My husband and I gave up on registering in the store and went online. Also if you are trying to buy a gift from someone else’s registry you have to go print it off one of the computers and half of them never work. You can’t just walk up to the registry and have them scan it in like anywhere else!!! Order offline and pay the shipping totally worth not going to the store!

I’ve never been a fan of shopping in a crowded mall, and Crabtree can get pretty crowded. I needed a new oxford, a tie, and some wingtip dress shoes, and I attempted to get them all in one visit, at one place — Belk Men’s. I love the fact that they separate all of the racks/​tables/​sections by Brand. I am able to specifically sort through only the brands I prefer, and that saves me a lot of time.
I wanted to get in and get out and avoid the rush so I arrived promptly at 10am when they opened. I was approached by a nice lady working in the shirt/​tie area and she was glad to measure me so I knew exactly what size shirts to get (I was .5 inches off on my neck — working out has made my neck larger — hence why I was shopping for a new shirt… hey, some of us have fat necks!)
She really went the extra mile and was a pleasant surprise (I didn’t expect such great service!). She gave me color matching suggestions, fitting suggestions, and overall made my shopping experience much less of a headache than it could have been.
I then went over to the formal shoes area, and again, received great service. They didn’t have my exact size available in the back, so they said I could take the display pair for an additional 10% off of the already 20% off I was getting on the sale price. I walked out with decent Florsheim Wingtips (originally $ 100) for ~$ 55. Great price and impeccable service.
I can’t speak for how Belk Men’s is during the shopping rush hour, but if you go there early enough, there are no lines, no wait for service, and eager customer associates ready to start their day. Whenever I’m looking for nicer brands and want to splurge a little, this will be the first place I go.

This review is for both Belk and the Belk Men’s store. I love that they split them– so much more room for some really great brands! Belk also runs some amazing sales, meaning I can get nicer brands than I could normally afford. I also love that they carry more items from the Miss Me brand than just the jeans, which I fell in love with forever ago at Buckle.
The ladies in the bridal department are awesome. They were so helpful about finding items from a registry when my brother got married last fall. They also called around to find a product they were sold out of at their location.
In the Mens’ store, the women running the fragrance department are terrific. They are so quick, even when I was shopping during the Christmas rush. Sandra recently handled a return for me, and it was so fast and painless compared to some other stores I could mention (having your receipt really helps btw, otherwise you may get back less than you paid if the price has been reduced)!
Belk is great for shopping for yourself, but they do a beautiful gift wrap if you are buying for someone else. They have two papers that are complimentary– actually, I guess that would be the only thing they could improve– they have a couple of really beautiful patterns, so I wish they were all free!

No. Belk is in a catagory all on it’s own. It is like heaven. Some people may be annoyed that they catagorise by desigher rather than clothing type, but I find it unique. You know if you are going shopping here it isn’t going to be a quick in and out trip. It is going to take some time. But it seems like they want you to have the relaxing and thoughtful experience. However, prices don’t run cheap and you could cause major damage on a credit card.

I’m not a retail shopper, so my experience with department stores like this is limited to being dragged around by my wife while she browses, tries on and sometimes, makes a purchase. Today’s visit to Belk was without Mrs, so I merely walked through the store from my parking space into the Mall.
In the few minutes I spent, I was assaulted by a clamoring noise and scent, by sales assistants hawking their wares, by towering and teetering displays of shoes and boots. I was glad to be past it!

The store is well-​merchandised and very enjoyable to shop in. The shoe department hasn’t been up to par lately, which is unfortunate. I am giving a two-​star rating because when I was in the store, there was such a dearth of staff that not one, but two, other shoppers asked me if I’d seen anyone working. If you didn’t want to buy cosmetics or shoes that evening, you were apparently out of luck. I wandered around the store for 40 minutes and did not once run into anyone on their staff, other than in the departments I mentioned. Perhaps they were all at dinner? I was there after work at about 5:45 — 6:30PM.

I love the Belk store at Crabtree Valley Mall! Although they stock some pricey brands, this is always my first stop when I’m willing to splurge. All of the staff I have encountered is friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is that I waited at a side entrance passed 10am (opening) one week day morning, and ended up walking to another entrance, which was unlocked. I was annoyed until I got inside and found the perfect pair of jeans!

This is certainly my favorite Belk’s in Raleigh. Truly the best selection. I am a huge Belk’s shopper, because they have the best credit program around. You get interest free for 3 months, and they also offer 12 months interest free shopping on jewelry. Free gift wrap and gift certificates sent to you when you acheive enough points on your Belk’s card. Fair pricing and great selection. Because of all this I can be the best dressed person anywhere. Friendly employees all make for a great shopping experience.

I don’t even buy women’s shoes but it annoys me that they organize them by manufacturer instead of style or type.
