I only go into this store when I have 45 minutes to burn and I don’t mean for shopping, I mean for waiting to checkout. I scouted online and found the item I wanted and headed into the store to buy it. The first time I went the store was closed because the fire alarm was going off. I came back the following day and picked up my item. There were 2 cashiers open and 4 people in line including myself and it still took over 30 minutes for me to get out of the store which is completely unacceptable. If you cant check people out quickly and efficiently how do you expect to make money? I avoid this place most of the year for this reason.

I usually find what I need at this Michaels. They’re staffed mostly to cover the front of the store and the custom framing counter. If you need help finding something specific, it may take you awhile to get that help. I have been in lines that were a bit long, but they did open up registers to get us through the line. I get coupons and deals emailed to me and have not had any problems using them via my mobile phone.

I went in on a Monday evening around 8 in the evening. The store was a mess and the employees were more interested in trying to clean up. I asked for some help and the girl didn’t know and didn’t care to help me find out an answer. They did have more than 1 register opened but the girl could do nothing but complain about how customers could not put things back. Maybe she should rethink working in retail… especially during the Christmas season. I

This is, by far, the worst Michael’s in Raleigh. The selection is the same as other stores but the service is horrible. They had«clearance» bins out front with baskets. My question was what the discount was. No one could tell me. I found a manager who was socializing with a friend and waited 5 minutes to be helped. The answer was that each basket was a different percent off. So I toted 8 baskets in only to find out that some were not even discounted. Disappointing. Very poorly managed store.

The selection of craft supplies isn’t as broad as I need it to be, and the service here kind of sucks. The price of the supplies they offer are a little pricey for what they are. I know more about crafting than they do and they refuse to open another register even though there is more than 5 people in line. I’ve spent a half hour in line before while only one register was open. It’s not like there wasn’t 5 or 6 people walking the floor. It’s like they just don’t care.
