Just had a great experience with Newcomb and Company. Our AC was blowing luke warm air starting last night and in the morning the house was ~80°. We called Carolina Comfort(the company that installed the brand new unit into our new construction home 3years ago) and left a voicemail at 7am, then again at 3pm. No call back. The house was now 87°. We called Newcomb at 4pm and Keith was out here around 2 hours later. He called multiple times with updates as to his potential arrival time. When he got here he diagnosed/fixed the problem quickly and even took extra time to answer my technical questions and educate me on some of the HVAC basics specific to my Trane unit. He was really nice, knowledgeable and spoke very highly of his employer. He was very positive despite today being 7pm on a Sunday and Father’s Day(Keith has two kids at home). By the way, we have a 1yr old and we have a week of 99° weather ahead of us and Newcomb saved the day by being available, speedy and professional. I’m considering a contract with them for ongoing checkups and support.

We had our upstairs AC stop working on a 100 degree plus day and they were able to send a technician the next day! The technician was friendly and professional with 15 years of HVAC experience. The repair was done well and we were very happy with Newcomb!

I wish I could give Newcomb and Company less than one star. My landlady hired Newcomb and Company to fix my air conditioning unit. They broke two of my possessions, mysteriously«lost» another, and didn’t admit to any wrong doing when I e-mailed them regarding the missing item. My apartment was a wreck after they were there, with everything in vicinity of the repair area thrown on the couch, floor, or into the communal part of the building that does not lock. I have since moved out and I never found the missing item. I would not recommend their services to anyone. They are incredibly unprofessional, and care only about making the most amount of money for the least amount of work.

I received a call from a supervisor at Newcomb and Company after they saw my Unilocal review. He told me they would not charge the $ 110 diagnostic fee for the technicians that came to evaluate the boiler. He also pointed out that it was not Newcomb that replaced this part for me in the past for $ 200 but another company — I was incorrect in that statement. I expressed that I was unhappy that had i been out of town longer and unable to inspect the boiler myself, I might have spent $ 850 needlessly. He said that the part was not working the day the technicians inspected it and they deemed it faulty. The supervisor also said that the technician did call me but did not leave a message because they don’t like their technicians to leave messages. The part was working correctly when I inspected it 2 days later and has continued working correctly for weeks. It has been on the boiler for over 10 years and operating fine. The problem the tenant mentioned was fixed by adjusting the thermostat. I appreciate the response and the reversal on the diagnostic fee and I am adding one star for their customer service.
