Selling Cantonese dishes that is pretty rare in the triangle area. The food has average quality, the owner is friendly.

We were driving on hillsborough St and The Chinese words«authentic» on its sign got my attention, decided to give a try. The Chinese scallion pan cake we ordered was just okay, tasted like the product from grand Asians frozen section, not bad though, same as the Hong Kong style wonton soup, just mediocre. But the garlic eggplant was surprisingly good, the look, the taste, the portion, and the price were all among the best as we have tried at other places. They also have family dinner deal at $ 22.95 for 2 entrees and 1 soup, may try that next time.

I agree with most of the others that this place was much better before management switched. My usual dish is now gone, along with most other options, leaving a typical fast food Chinese menu. The woman who waited on us, who used to run the place and be very friendly, rolled her eyes at us when we wanted to split a dish. Then she never came back. The manager himself had to run our food, forgetting the soup and utensils. The food itself is good, but I hate being treated like I’m an inconvenience. We’ve been coming here for 3 years, but I probably wont go back after all that.

They have new owners!!! or at least a seriously new menu! I came here with two cantonese dudes and ordered everything hong kong. They have a huge hong kong menu with your wonton/noodle dishes to your cantonese spaghetti dishes!!! They are a little on the greasy side but I don’t know anywhere else that serves a little bit of authentic hong kong up in this area. The flavour was pretty good and the price was decent. They also have rice box lunches for around $ 7, no need to drive all the way to grand asia for that joint. I know their avg rating is low but since they revamped their menu, the food has become really good. Give it a shot!

Nice place and free wifi. Cheap price and good taste. What else you can expect to? I love this place, it is so close to my college. I am a NCSU student and management department. a lot of my professors come here and order food here. Free soup if you ask. very nice place and plenty of parking space, It is very hard for a restaurant near school.

Miso and penang curry tasted watered down. But their spring rolls was good. That’s what I get for not checking Unilocal after my husband picks the place!

I’m vegan so eating here as a omnivore, YMMV. This place is a gem hiding in plain sight! The sole owner/cook/everything is Connie. She has a very loyal customerbase and a memory to rival! Considering the fact that she knows how you like your dishes(no animal products, please).Connie will customize your order to fit your palate & dietary needs/wants.

Was craving some udon and thinking okie this place might have some decent udon not that amazing stuff that makes u feel all good and warm inside but ya know the regular good stuff… and no… firstly my bf warned against going here and me being stubborn said nah lets give it a chance so we did. So we go inside and its hella empty, ATLUNCH time … that should have been my first clue from growing up in the restaurant business… so we order and I love how they have japanese food this n that like up front all over yet… the japanese food I tasted was welll quite disgusting… I went for the tofu n veggie udon and my bf the beef udon also got the unagi roll. The rolls were decent nothing special nothing horrid. The udon… well lets see here my first bite was when i was worried … the veggies did not taste fresh and im not meaning like they weren’t picked this morning not fresh i mean the broccoli had a not very good and old taste about it. The broth was terrible my gosh an and after i finished eating the noodles(yes i ventured to eat the noodles as i was rly hungry and just had payed 20 some dollars for this all) i saw a bubble in my udon and you know when u see a soap bubble and it has that rainbowy appearance to it~ well there ya go the bubble had this rainbow look to it which put me off even more and made my suspicions feel right on about the broth. To me it tasted disgusting, i suppose that’s what people mean when they say the soup tastes like dishwater. The tofu was either sitting in the udon for a long time(the whole day or more possibly?) or they used the extra soft udon in soup which imo doesn’t make sense… the beef… as I shall quote my bf «tastes like fake meat, kinda rubbery» So as i write this holding back the feeling of throwing up I would advise please stay away from the udon. I might possibly try this place once more, for the Chinese food only. I say that because the woman there was speaking Chinese so hey they might be better in that cuisine. although tbh I have no desire to go back anytime soon. To my fellow san diegans don’t take all the wonderful Asian food you have there for granted I’m still trying to find my chill lil spot for Asian food until then Sushi Tsune your my one n only for Japanese food as you do it so well
