Talbot’s

I recently came here to return about 20 items of clothing that I had ordered online. I am rather unfortunately currently a size 16, and not many items are in stock in that size in store. So when I needed few new work dresses and suits, I ordered them online and figured I’d return what didn’t work. Unfortunately, I just had bad luck with this order and returned more than I expected. The lady at the register had a huge attitude about it (despite their only being ONE other customer in the store) and made it quite obvious she was not happy about assisting me with the return. There was sighing, her impatiently asking another co-​worker to start hanging the items up «because there was so much coming back», and then she loudly announced the dollar amount of clothing I was returning to another co-​worker while she was ringing up the one other customer in the store. That was NOT appreciated. I was going to look around in the store afterwards since I didn’t have much luck online, but since the cashier succeeded in making me feel about 5 inches tall, I just left after the return was completed. As I was in the market for a new spring wardrobe, and didn’t have much success with the online order, they potentially lost out on a decent amount of money if I had been successful in finding a few things in store.

Excellent well-​stocked store in all size categories. Knowledgeable sales personnel who are eager to help. Also able and willing to locate individual items in other sizes. A pleasure!

The service and selection at this particular location of Talbots is unparalleled in the area! I’ve only been there a couple of times and the sales associates know me by name and treat me with lots of respect. They have a great women’s section and don’t even get me started on the accessories selection!
