Toys R Us

Went here to buy a stroller and car seat today. My Mom & I had done tons of research and thought we knew exactly which set we wanted. We had been to the Cary store and after walking around for a bit to actually find an employee, found one stocking shelves. I kindly asked for her help and she reluctantly came over to strollers. I’m a first time Mom, so I knew nothing. I had a few questions which she did address, but that was the end of it. No additional info or recommendations. Now fast forward to today and I thank my lucky stars we had an employee by the name of Brian help us. This guy is seriously the employee of the century.
I’m 5′ tall and petite so once he was kind enough to go the back and fetch our requested item, he wanted to make sure due to my frame that I could handle it. Without us even having to ask, he went into many details, including weight and functionality. Thank God. I couldn’t even pick it up off the ground folded, never mind lift it into a trunk! Then he pointed out several other options, also going into detail on each. We ended up with a better model and better understanding.
To top it off, he found ways to save us over $ 100. He did this all while seeming to be the «go-​to» guy for every other employee in the store. He’s well educated on product, very personable and helpful so definitely seek him out of you want the best help possible!

Just left the toys r us store at triangle town center. The most awful customer service. I asked if they carried a specific Lego. The person didn’t know and called someone who didn’t answer. She then said «see those two men over there. They are the managers. Ask them. I went and asked one of them who in turn asked me if I had looked in the shelves. I said yes. He said all of the shelves? I said I think so and he responded «then I guess we don’t carry it» and walked away.

We did our baby registry here and it was a great experience! They gave us each a scanner so we didn’t have to share and the staff was amazing. The store manager even came out and showed us how to work the car seat which we never would have figured out on our own! They also give you coupons and a rewards card when you sign up for the registry. We plan to make this our «go to» store from now on!

If you order online for in-​store pick-​up, be prepared to wait. After 25 minutes (and a little attitude, from both myself and the workers), I finally got my order. It IS a nice, clean, new store… a massive improvement over the old, run-​down Babies-​R-​Us in Mini City, but the service REALLY needs to improve. Over a dozen employees were standing around doing nothing while I was waiting for my order.

This location is brand new and in the same shopping center as Target, Old Navy, World Market, etc. It is a combo Toys R Us/​Babies R Us and is pretty huge but I find the selections to be hit or miss when they are combo locations. Maybe that’s just me.
They now price match, which is good as they have ALWAYS had higher prices than their competitors. But it’s clean and birght and you kids will never want to leave!
