Yancey was the best! We had a great time on the trolley pub even though it was 90+ degrees outside. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll definitely be bring more alcohol(no glass) next time!

Did the Trolley Pub last night for the first time and had a blast! Coolers are allowed on board as long as you don’t have any glass bottles. Can also bring snacks & plug in your iPod or phone to dj your own tunes while pedaling. Our driver was Tom and he was great! Highly recommend doing this!!! We stopped in 2 downtown Raleigh bars for a quick drink and had so much fun cruising around the city. Can get pretty hot in the summer so later tours are probably best. Several seats available for those not wanting to pedal too. Will definitely do this again!

The first rule of trolley pub: you must cheers and drink every time the trolley comes to a stop. We had a blast! Would highly recommend Yancey as a guide!

We booked two trolley pubs for family that had come from out of town for my wedding. The drivers, Yancey and Marcos, were wonderful hosts. They were attentive to our needs, kept the party going, and didn’t seem to mind our crazy family. Would highly recommend for out of town guests!

Tom was an awesome trolly driver. Very friendly and accommodating! Trolly pub is BYOB but they stop at a couple bars along the way so you can get drinks inside to! Perfect for birthdays or any kind of celebration. Definitely recommend Trolly Pub to anyone and will be coming back with another group of friends very soon!

Did this for the 2nd time on June 4 to celebrate a friends birthday. We had an absolute blast. Michaela was an awesome guide; we toasted, we jammed to great tunes, we laughed, we sweated, and we got toasted. It was hot, they provided water for us, dropped us at air-conditioned spots, and took great care of us all the way around.

I was a bit skeptical in trying the pub trolley at first but it was probably one of best drinking experiences ever. You make reservations ahead of time and it’s BYOB. The pub trolley is basically a bar crawl in style. As you bike to the bars of your choosing you get to 1) drink in open containers legally while operating a «vehicle», 2) get to party with your friends out in the open and sight see Raleigh, 3) doing leg day while consuming alcohol. We were able to go to four bars in a span of 2 hours while biking the trolley. It was super fun and everyone got super drunk. It’s super hilarious to see others’ expressions when they see the mob of us on the street. Definitely worth doing even if it was raining!

Great afternoon with Laura. This trip was more fun than expected. Try it! PS in the interest of full disclosure, the peddling is optional.

This was my third time on the trolley and again, it was an awesome experience! Tom, our driver was great! We had a bachlorette party of 13 and everyone said how much fun they had. A stop at cala vela(spelling?) Is a must!

This was really awesome. The price is high but it was one of the best times I’ve had in a really long time. You don’t even have to be able to pedal. I’m not and I was able to sit on the back of the trolly. Awesome driver, awesome place!

This was so much fun! Our guide was really fun and made sure that we had a great time. We did the mixer tour, since there was only 3 of us. The pedaling wasn’t too hard, but be prepared to work for your drinks. We stopped at 3 different bars around downtown Raleigh(Calavera, Raleigh Times, & The Flying Saucer). I wish the tour lasted longer, since you only have about 20 minutes at each stop. It’s barely enough time for one drink(the first stop was the first time in my life I chugged an IPA… um, never again!). At the stops, you’re encouraged to stay together as one group with the other riders so that everyone can leave together. You end up making friends with each other very quick :) I definitely want to come back with a group of friends so that we can fill up the trolley.

The Trolley Pub itself is so much fun! It’s 400 $ for a private tour for up to 14 people. I did it for my birthday and even though it was sooo cold we had a blast. My only complaint which at first worked in my favor was they pushed back our reservation 15 minutes because apparently one of the trolleys broke down. They must have tried to fix it and still give it to us because our trolley did not sport the trolley pub logo like the other ones that ran at the same time. The music kept going on and off because of speaker issues. Also it kept making this popping noise which sounded like it was something with the engine. Our driver even said he did not know what was going on with it. The peddling part was not too difficult it was just our trolley was super slow compared to other trolleys speeding past us. There is a 200 – 250 pounds limit per person, I am not trying to be mean but I don’t think our driver met that requirement which could have been a reason for us being so slow.

Trolley Pub is so much fun! We picked our own route and went to Raleigh Times, Woody’s and Landmark Tavern. Make sure you bring alcohol and your favorite playlist to drink and pedal to! If you are unable to pedal, do not worry just sit in the back and enjoy the ride. I really enjoyed pedaling down the street, belting Katy Perry and waving to everyone. I definitely recommend that you do Trolley Pub at least once here!

I love Unilocal reviews because Unilocalers tell it like it is. While Trolley Pub provides an exhilarating and fun Trolley experience during the tour, there are a few opportunities to improve the customer experience both before and after the tours. When we booked the tour, we were under the impression that we would be on a covered«winterized» trolley. We noticed after booking on the website that only 3 of 4 are covered and that you must email them the day before to find out if your trolley is covered. We found out that our trolley was not covered, and it was OK since the weather was nice our tour, but I would not want that to be a surprise on a 20 degree night! Before the tour began, we were warned by several other passengers that the Trolley Pub has a reputation for taking rules seriously, as they should for safety and legal reasons. Based on other reviews, it seems that they struggle to enforce these rules while providing a top-notch, positive experience for all participants. Additional communication and/or logistics measures might help them achieve both goals and increase positive word of mouth and influencer support for the business.

So much fun! Took my fiancé for his birthday and my parents. We were able to dj our own music and it was awesome to get to know the other people on the trolley. Definitely prepare to drink a lot as you stop at different bars as well. Your butt will hurt from the seats afterwards but it is well worth it. Ask for Seth if planning your trip, he made the entire experience!

The Trolley Pub is a great time. I honestly don’t know if it would be possible to have a bad time during the trolley time. Our group of 8 joined a group of 4 and one couple for a two hour adventure through Raleigh with Laura at the helm. By the end, we were begging for another loop around the neighborhood. We were lucky enough to snag a Groupon for half off tickets, but I would have been happy to pay for full price. You meet up at the Trolley central, sign a waver, show your id, and then head downtown. Our driver offered us a variety of places to stop including Raleigh Times, Calaveras(empanadas mmm), and Colgin’s were the three I popped into on the tour. If there is a place you really want to go, your driver will probably make it happen. Lo She also let one of the front passengers play DJ. If peddling isn’t your thing, there are four seats at the back and you can switch out with people during the stops. They provide coolers for you if you need and it is BYOB(no glass, no liquor). Logistically it was smooth sailing and our group all had a blast. Highly Recommend.

An awesome experience! Definitely something you should try with your group of friends if you’re trying to go around downtown Raleigh and bar hop. The trolley holds around 14 – 15 people, and has built in cup holders for your drinks. There’s a cooler in the middle to keep your beverages cold as well as overhead storage. There is also a speaker system that allows your to plug in your music and jam to while you pedal around with your friends. Our driver, Chad, was awesome and was very flexible on where we wanted to go. While you hop from bad to bar, the driver parks outside and waits while watching your belongings. Very memorable, and highly suggest.

Such a fun experience! It was a little chilly on the night that we rented the trolley. I’d love to do it again during the day when the weather is a little warmer. I’d highly recommend trying it!

The Trolley Pub was FANTASTIC! I had my family and the in-laws in town for Thanksgiving weekend and we were looking for fun activities to do with them while they were down here. Since we had 12 people visiting, the Trolley Pub was perfect! We booked the tour from 8:30 — 10:30pm on a Friday night. Being the night after Thanksgiving(and 30 degrees outside) the downtown scene wasn’t exactly poppin, but our tour guide made sure we had the best time anyways. Instead of picking the bars we wanted to go to, our guide Tom took us on his tour of DTR. He was fantastic the entire time, cracking jokes, dancing, making fun of people on the bike(in a light hearted way of course) and making sure we were never bored. You need to bring your own drinks(no glass) but they provide you with a cooler to keep everything in. We set up an awesome playlist beforehand, and had a blast doing a tour of the town! I would recommend this to anyone with a large group, it is something different and a great way to entertain them. My only complaint is that the bus died at the end and we actually had to peddle it a good distance back. We were told about halfway through the tour that they did not charge it enough, so we also had to skip a bar we wanted to go to and take it back a little early. I don’t think that should happen especially with the price you pay to rent it out for a private tour, but we had so much fun that we were willing to look past a little mishap. Get a group together and check it out! If you don’t have a group, you can also purchase a seat on a group tour!

Best discovery about the Trolley Pub I am too short to pedal! That’s right I got to have all the fun without any of the work. This really is a genius idea and was so much fun. I recently checked out the Trolley Pub for intern, Alexa’s birthday! It did not disappoint. It’s BYOB no glass, but you can bring coolers, and any beer and wine you want in cans or plastic containers. Our Trolley Pub guide was great and they will pretty much go anywhere around downtown Raleigh wherever you would like to go. If you want to stop at the bars then you can do that get off and get back on as you please. We decided to just stay on the Trolley the entire time no need to buy booze when we already brought plenty of it, plus we were enjoying riding around downtown. During our ride we got a small rain storm luckily the Trolley is covered and we didn’t get drenched. It’s fun to wave to everyone on the street and in their cars while you’re pedaling along. I’m not sure what the height limit is to reach the pedals but at 5 feet it was pretty difficult to pedal along. Make sure you bring your favorite playlist for the ride. You can bring your iPod and they will plug it in for you during your trip. Whether you’re a tourist or a local this is a great way to explore DTR, I highly recommend the Trolley Pub!
