I’ve been a loyal customer for many years. Sure, you can get your gear at a major big name sporting goods chain but I would rather go see the guys at Vertical Urge over any of them. You can’t beat the knowledge of the staff. They have saved me thousands over the years! Keep up the great work!

Never been there. Needed some grip tape. Very helpful and friendly. Was amazed how nice the people were and how nice the merchandise was. Even though I’m 43 and not cool, my son and I went and there was a positive vibe, genuine knowledge and friendliness. Glad we went!

I’ve been coming to Vertical for about 12 – 13 years now and I’ve never ever had a problem with anything they have sold me. Their staff is always awesome and helpful. Ben is super knowledgeable and has helped me a ton over the past year with setting me up with my new interest in cruiser boards, and my main passion Snowboarding! If you’re new to boards, or a veteran, don’t hesitate to stop in and ask for help with what you need. You will not be disappointed!

I’ve been riding my entire life in UTAH, I was killing time in Raleigh so I stopped by Vertical Urge. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised! They’ve been around since 1992, they had all the high end restricted Burton hard goods, & the guys know what they’re talking about. I ended up talking to the owner for a few hours, & was just super impressed that such a core board shop was in the middle of North Carolina. The prices were good, & the staff was friendly & stoked to be working there. I bought a few things, & will for sure be back!

Big shout out to the guys in the shop who handle putting skateboards together. They are always friendly and helpful and efficient! My son buys all of his boards here and I am always pleased with the service. and the prices are good also. I especially like the shoe sales!

I spoke to Pat via the phone on two different occasions a few weekends back to talk about bindings and boards. We chatted for approximately 20 – 30 minutes on each call and Pat was extremely helpful. I never felt rushed during the calls and Pat seemed to genuinely want to help and answer any question I may have had. It’s extremely rare to receive such top notch customer service. I would definitely recommend this shop and will certainly consider buying from again in the future.
One negative. Prior to reaching Pat, I emailed in some questions. It took about 6 days to receive a reply from another worker there. In this day and age when nearly everyone relies heavily on email, I would think that any business with an online presence would have a 24 hour, 48 hour max turnaround time to respond to emails. I give a 0 star rating for email communication.
Please note, my review is solely based off of my online experience. I’ve never been to the actual shop in NC.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices we’re spot. Being so far away from the mountains I wondered about how much they were going to gouge me but actually their prices were the same if not better than up on the mountains in Boone NC. Also when I was looking for a hard to find snowboard binding that no where else had in stock they actually had it and held it for me. Great customer service and phone etiquette.
