Excel Stone and Tile Care

We had a great experience with Excel Stone and Tile Care. Tony and Sandra were great to work with at our home. They are a great duo for an owner-​operated company. Together they are an ideal complement from integrity, to quality, and to professionalism.
When I was researching options stone care in San Diego, I found them online. I met Tony and was impressed by his knowledge of marble, granite, and slate. One of the things that impressed be the most about Tony, is the fact that he is very «hands on» at the job. It was important for us to find someone that was more of an estimator/​face of the company. I was sold when he said that he completes the work with his assistant. He worked hard to match colors on our travertine floors and patch up each hole.
When I first found Excel Stone and Tile Care, I was surprised that there were only two reviews on Unilocal.I mentioned this in an email to Sandra and she promptly responded that they have great reviews on Angie’s List. I don’t subscribe to that service, but trusted her comments.
I thought their pricing was fair and honest for recommendations. Several companies mentioned that I should polish our floors through a honing process. He was honest to say that in his opinion, that our floors were not in a bad condition and that I could wait a little on longer. I appreciated his honesty and thought that this was a great approach to building a plan rather than being hit with sticker shock when reviewing the quote.

We had a great experience with Excel Stone & Tile Care. We have an extensive area of travertine in our living/​dining area & it needed a good cleaning, some repair & polishing. The guys did a great job, carefully moved our furniture, & they were quick & efficient. I would definitely call them again.

We’ve had Tony cleaning our carpets for over 15 years now and two houses later. We’ve had babies, cats & dogs, so you know what stains I’m talking about. Well Sandra (Tony’s wife), schedules the cleanings and they work within my time constraints.
They have also done grout and tile cleaning — equally happy with results.
Please don’t let the Ramona address fool you… Excel will travel. We assure you, you won’t be disappointed!
