Here’s the Deal… Very nice bar & restaurant area! The steamers with the bread was very yummy. The selection of oysters was limited. The service was attentive. Overall it’s a nice place… I’d try it again… If you’re in the area, give it a try…

So the other night me and one of my friends had some time to kill and we were hungry so as we drove up rt 17 we saw Biggie’s Clam Bar and decided to pull in. It was a Monday night so it was pretty empty and we decided to sit at the bar for faster service. I have been to the other location in Rutherford once before and remember I had an excellent crab cake sandwich! Our waitress was a super sweet girl, very friend and personable. We ordered our drinks along with the crab corn chowder for my friend and a house salad for me. The drinks came over rite away and so did our soup and salad. The soup smelt amazing and and was loaded with bits of corn and crab meat all throughout it, my salad tasted refreshing and I really enjoyed the black olives throughout it and not to mention their tangy homemade dressing! We both placed an order for crab cake sandwiches but unfortunately we had to take them to go because we were short on time and had to go pick up our boyfriends. The waitress was kind enough to pack them up rite away for us and grab us the check so we could be getting on our way. We did eat the crab cake sandwiches as soon as we picked the boys up and they were crisp, hot and delicious. The crab cakes were served on a soft roll and had a delicious spicy sauce to go with it. There is nothing I love more than a crisp meaty crab cake and this one definitely hit the spot. They also serve the crab cakes with waffle cut fries that were very good as well. We will coming back soon to check out the raw bar and some other menu items! Over all a great eating experience!

My husband and I enjoy eating here. The portions are very generous and I’ve never had a bad meal here ever! Calamari is delish! Highly recommended for a great place to eat and for attentive service.

I went there a couple of weeks ago with a friend for Happy Hour. I had the Breakfast beer(craft). It was dark and delicious. I enjoyed it immensely. I also ordered the flounder tacos, and they were good. The waits was very nice, but the girl at the front desk seems slow or hard of hearing. I asked for the bar 5 times, but she kept trying to seat us at a table. Also it was kind of dark in the bar section. It was only around 4:30. Either way I will be back to try their clam selection and for another one of those beers. Our receipt came with $ 5 off of $ 15 lunch coupon. Nice touch.

Wtf? I preposterous how much I loved calamari and mussels. Tonight: calamari rubbery, greasy. Oil tasted off. Mussels either empty(without the mussel being in the bowl, either. Or closed -”meaning nasty“ What happened to quality control? ??? This is Saturday night and it sucks out loud this bad? Even seafood salad we ordered sucked. Seafood hard as a rock and tasteless. Seriously??? We told them they need to TASTE their own food.

Better than I thought it would be. Got a 5 dollar Unilocal coupon for the great calamari. The clams and oysters looked great and reasonably priced.

Cliché beers– Which is a shame because this could be a great sports bar. The food is mediocre at best. The service was OK. There’s just nothing else to say really… The whole experience was just, «Blah!»

It’s hard for me to say no to raw bar and cold beer! They have nice oysters and clams. The service was good and friendly. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars and not five is because i ordered shrimp fra diablo that was overcooked. I will definitely go back though and try something else– and of course get the raw bar.

I can’t speak to the raw bar because I did not eat there. However, the food I did eat was absolutely atrocious. My mozzarella sticks were not cooked all the way through, and my steak and cheese sandwich was 95% pepper and onion with one slice of rubbery steak on a stale roll. What does save this place a little bit is the wonderful customer service that the waiter provided. This is a good place to go have drinks and socialize. It has good music, good atmosphere, and great customer service, but the food taste like crap.

Small bar/restaurant. Clams were nice but not as good as fresh ones you can get at a restaurant near the water. Wait staff very nice and helpful. Too much noise for me. We couldn’t even have a normal conversation because of the random bar guys

Consistently good, nothing to write home about, but so far I haven’t been disappointed. Service is good also.

A favorite of mine and all my friends. Great for parties as well! We have hosted 2 private parties here. The manager is great and they are always willing to work with you on details. Food is great!

Having eaten here more times I am updating my revue to five stars. The bar pizza is great. Thin crust and nicely cheesy. The burgers are consistently good, both need and chicken. Tip, ask for crinkle fries instead of the waffle fries. The waffle fries are usually under done. The sea food is all good and well cooked. The wings are crispy. We enjoy it. A nice place to grab a bite!!!

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I ordered the clam PO-boy and out came a roll with 3 clam bellies and a slice of tomato. The roll was hard I took 2 bites and sent it back. NOTE: I have never sent a meal back in any restaurant ever!!! The staff was great and the manager asked me if I wanted something else. But after tasting other dishes at my table I decided to pass on eating anything at this place.

It’s along the highway so it can be quite easy to miss. As we almost did. They have a separate bar seating from dining seating, as well as an outdoor patio. The bar area has a nice energy with multiples screens to follow all your favorite sporting events. Dining area is more dim and intimate. Love the option. Their menu has a lot of deliciousness to offer, including a nice variety for their raw bar. As per fellow Unilocalers reviews, we tried the calamari, which did not disappoint. The Thai Chili sauce was very tasty! Steamed mussels appetizer was a very generous portion. The red sauce(marinara) was light and flavorful. I would love to try to garlic butter next time. Seafood Fiesta was delicious. Linguini cooked perfectly, paired nicely with perfectly cooked scallops, shrimps, clams, mussels, calamari and a scatter of crabmeat. So glad they have locations in Hoboken. Will definitely try again!

Swung by here for a birthday dinner. I’m not normally a huge fan of chain places, but this one only has one other in Hoboken. They had a pretty diverse menu, ranging from sea food(clams, shrimp, fish, etc) to typical American. There was also a big bar in the back, which had a pretty raucous older crowd for some of the hockey games. I absolutely loved the Parmesan Crusted Flounder that I ordered. It was well marinated and I finished it in record time. The sweet potato fries weren’t bad either and I tried brocolli rabe for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed them. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in Bergen County for a pretty well rounded menu. Perfect for a big group.

Came here for my brothers birthday, I recall when this place was called fatsos and was just a plain old sports bar, so its nice to see them branch into a restaurant as well. I had the the Parmesan crusted flounder which tasted absolutely delicious! They really put effort into the bread crumbs and recipe. It came with a health portion of steamed spinach and I had some sweet potato fries, both solid. Service was pretty good, allthough the waitress could have been more attentive to water refills :) The chocolate mousse cake at the end did not dissapoint either. As someone who frequents NYC restaurants, these guys food is def. on par with some seafood restaurants I have been to in terms of their fish qualtiy. Well done, I will return on future jersey excursions.

Decent but not great. Was there on a real slow lunch day, and would be willing to give it another shot as I heard many good things. I saw many good things about the calamari so we ordered it as an app. Not good, not even close. Got the hot pepper and caper calamari. It was greasy and soggy. Tons of hot peppers, but not a single caper. I asked if they brought the right one and the waitress said yes. Ok… guess they should just take caper out of the title. Got the shrimp po’ boy and it was good. Really good bread and the shrimp were a good size and cooked right. The waffle fries? Worth the price of admission. Could have had just a plate of those and been happy. Service was good. Drinks were filled quickly and everything was attentive.
