Whole experience is bad. Had an appt based on recommendation from receptionist on who did a nice pixie (just needed a trim). Asked for a razor cut trim to freshen up my cut. Shey said she had other techniques to get similar effect. Ended up with a Spock haircut. Went back the next day to have it fixed and for an appt I had for my son for a trim, they didn’t have time for me and my son walked out with an uneven fade from Jackie. Went back the next day to have them correct both of us (they said they would only have time to fix 1 of us so let my son go. Jackie proceeded to tell me that the uneven fade was because of my son’s head shape (I asked if his head shaped changed in the last 2 weeks and they looked at me like I was crazy). While I was waiting, had to listen to the receptionist train a new receptionist, got to hear that she usually puts used product back on the shelf for resale if it seems like it’s only been used once or twice so she doesn’t have to send it back. V. unprofessional. In short, did not keep follow up appt scheduled. Will say the only good cut I’ve had from there has been from Miriam… may follow up with her in the Folsom store. As far as Gold River location, look for somewhere else.

I have been searching for a hair salon for a while now. I moved here from Fresno 9 years ago and still have been getting my hair done there as I was unable to find a stylist that I liked here in town. But I found one today! Natalie did an excellent hair cut and I will be back in a few months. Salon was nice. Now to find a nail place!

Warning, do not let Natalie touch your hair with scissors. I went in for a simple trim. I asked for a blunt cut of about an inch. She convinced me to let her layer it just at the ends so I wouldn’t have a «weight line». She preceded to chop and chop and when she was done, it was quite a bit shorter and, to my dismay, extremely uneven. She did not offer me a mirror to check it when she was done. I was the last customer of the day and she was anxious to get off. I should have insisted but everyone seemed ready to go. I was devastated to see it when I got home.

Awesome place! I am from out of town and I really needed a haircut. They took me in right away without an appointment. Maryam did a superb job. She was quick, thorough and detail oriented. Highly recommend. Staff was sweet. Would go back if I am ever in town

I needed to fix my hair because I originally did a home died to my hair and it turned out horrible!
I was serviced by Robin and I had came in with brassy orange hair. At the end of my session it still turned out the same!!! She just made my hair evenly blended out but I was very dissatisfied with the out come!
It was not what I wanted my hair to look like. I felt like she did nothing to it!

Nice hair salon. Clean. Stylists are friendly. Just got a root touch up nothing fancy. Satisfied with the price and the service. Stylist Shené was able to understand my needs well and delivered more than what I asked for.

This place has saved my LIFE.
I’m ashamed to admit that I fried my hair, the ends were toast… really almost all of it was toast. Of course I did it at 2am and had work at 8am the next day. Maria got me in almost right at opening and SAVED THE DAY! Not only did she manage to make something cute out of a tragedy, I think it actually looked better than before!

I’m not sure what others are talking about, because my experience has been only positive here. This is the only place I get my haircut. The Extremely friendly staff and clean salon keep me coming back every time. I have never left this salon unhappy and I know I will receive a quality service every time! I highly recommend the Brockway team in Gold River!

I have come to this salon once before and Robin did my hair. She was really nice and did a great job. My schedule is unpredictable so i just called in to do my hair again once I got a free day. Of course Robin was booked full. So Maryam did my hair. She rushed me to pick a color, made me feel stupid when asking about semi/​demi permanent hair color, and was mad when i said i wanted a cut as well because she was tight on time. When I booked the appointment i wasn’t asked what I was going to get done, I was only asked my name and how long my hair is. She rushed the whole visit, hair dye splashed in my eye, it was the kind of thing you walk out of and just want to cry. She treats he regulars nice but i will NEVER go back to anyone here because of this. I can’t believe that’s how they treat customers. Pamper from hell.

Haven’t got my hair done here yet but I can say they will not receive my business! Very unprofessional and wasted my time. First they tell me that they have an appointment available at 4:20 pm so I told them I would call them after my lunch break from work since I work next door to let them know if I can take the appt. So I call and they tell me oh we have a 4:50 pm so I took that appt. I left work early to come to that appt just for them to tell me that they can’t take me because the girl who had an appt before me had longer and thicker hair than expected so it will take too long. Why couldn’t they tell me that before I left work early to come to a scheduled appt?! I lost out on money at work for them to waste my time. The right thing to do would’ve been to accommodate me since it was their fault for being so unorganized. Then on top of that the lady next to the one I was speaking to asks me if my hair is virgin and I say no. She then says, «well we couldn’t do it today anyways because we would have to bleach out your current color so it would be a 2 and a half hour process and we close at 7» that angered me even more because I came in on my lunch break earlier and had a consultation so they knew EXACTLY what needed to be done to my hair! Why even schedule me an appt just to have me leave work early to come to an appt just to tell me all of this bs? Don’t waste your time or money here. Go to a salon that has good customer service with professionalism.

So it’s been two months since my experience at this place and my hair has grown out a bit, thank god, but it’s still a bad haircut, time has not changed that. In a couple days I’m getting it corrected by a stylist from another salon who knows what she’s doing. I’m still sore over the lack of care and inattentiveness I received at Brockway. I highly recommend that people take their business elsewhere. The management at this salon need to hire better and more experienced stylists!!!

I have to say, this was my first hair cut in like 5 years (I know, I know!).
I had hair extensions (and didn’t really take care of my hair, going back and forth from blonde to black to red, back to blonde) for 5 years and took them out a year ago, so my hair had some MAJOR growing and healing to do before I was comfortable getting it cut. So, a year later, it was time for a haircut.
I work in the area so I Unilocaled Brockway. Despite the mixed reviews, me going against what people tell me to do, I called to see if they could give me an appointment for a cut and blow dry that day, and they got me in within a half hour.
I had the pleasure of Maryam (from Folsom Brockway) cutting my hair. She was so sweet! She washed my hair, cut it SUPER cute, and styled it even cuter! I left there super happy! So glad that I gave them a chance! I didn’t wash my hair for a few days after and STILL got compliments on my hair. Thank you so much Maryam! Awesome experience and my hair looks fab!

This place is amazing and has definitely improved over the year! Love the stylist, very friendly and great results on the hair!

There are several things that I like and dislike about this salon.
Now that the immature and gossipy stylists have left, the salon is much more enjoyable. My main reason for writing this review is because of the new lady (not sure of her name). she is really easy to spot, as she is the one that is walking around speaking in Farsi and talking to the other girls clients while they try to work on them. I am not sure if she is a new manager or not, but I would get rid of her. She is very rude, butts into others conversations, and is overly pushy when it comes to selling products to people. She walks around like she is better than EVERYONE and it shows. The owner should ahve thought twice about hiring her. My friends and I will not be going back as long as she is there disturbing the clients and stylists. It is a shame because we used to be regulars and thought this place was turning around, but then «she» came along.

Surprise, surprise! I was impressed! I find it difficult to actually find a stylist who knows what they are doing.
I came in for a basic «up do» for a holiday party at work.
I don’t have to patience to play with a curling iron, and flat iron for half a day trying to decide what to do to my hair. Granite somedays I do, but today was not one of those days. I prefer to throw some product in and diffuse it with a blow dryer and call it a day. «Normally»
I called in yesterday. Totally last minute too, seeing if they had anything. I was in luck they had an opening with Violet.
(Note: this is my first time calling the salon, and not apart of their already «cliental».)
She has an awesome personality! Very enjoyable to be around as we’ll as the other female that work there too!
I loved what she did to my hair. I went in at noon, and said it needed to last all day, and here it is thirteen hours later and still looking good!
I’m definitely a fan & will be returning!

I have been here twice and won’t be going back. I would have had better luck at Supercuts for $ 10 dollars less. They have a bunch of young girls fresh out of beauty school who gossip and talk about inappropriate things while they are doing your hair. You are supposed to get a shampoo with the cut, I didn’t receive one either time because either «my hair looks clean» or «this cut works better with dry hair» …ok. It was also like she was in a rush to get me done because she had a woman waiting with dye in her hair sitting directly behind me who she kept saying «sorry» to like it was my fault, HELLO I PAID TOO! I’m still waiting for my last hair cut to grow out so I can try to salvage what was done at a more professional salon.
They also say walk-in’s are welcome, I would make an appointment because everyone person I saw walk– in was greeted with an attitude for not having an appointment.

I went to get my hair done at Brockway Salon and while getting my hair colored, the stylist left the color in my hair longer than normal time. After a few days passed, my hair began to shed alot and I wasn’t sure what was going on. I went to see my doctor and took blood tests and they came back normal. My doctor told me that the hair color that Brockway Salon Stylist used in my hair was the cause of my hair loss because the stylist left in the color to long. I contacted the Salon 4 times and they never helped me. I am considering pressing charges for the pain and suffering that has happened to me. Please be aware cause you might be the next victim!

Violet was great. She fixed my blonde color that another company had messed up. If you have blonde hair or shades of it, see Violet to keep the shades the way you want! Fun, good group of gals working there.

Brockway hair salon has several hair stylists working there. I’ve been there a handfull of times. Each time I get a new stylist, and they all do a fine job. They charge 22 $ for a smiple cut, but more if you want blow dry, or style, ect. Over all, clean and friendly, in a convenient location next to bel air shopping mall.
