Poooooor customer service. Very unsanitary behind the counter where food is being served. Paper and half eaten food was on the floor behind the counter. When voicing my concern about two other customers that came in after me being served before me, the manager became very dismissive and unprofessional. She had broken English and a bad attitude. I only ordered an iced coffee and I walked out feeling thirsty and disappointed. I rate them zero stars…

I don’t even know why I bother with this place. It’s like a bad relationship you know you should never go back to and you’re probably going to end up on COPS in some embarrassing situation, but here I am. I mean… I should have left when I walked in and realized it’s hot as balls inside. Obviously if it’s hot as shit inside… the salad, produce, and other items might be having the same issue? But when you get a small salad… and you have to throw away almost the whole thing because the lettuce is shit brown? C’mon man! You had one job! Don’t put shitty lettuce in the salad! I also got a small soup so I’m hoping whatever micro-organism is living in the soup was killed by the heat… the salad on the other hand… that’s a bathroom nightmare waiting to happen.

Wow! I don’t usually right reviews but I’m so unhappy with my lunch and experience at this La Bou that I will. 1) how depressing is the restaurant? Two people working there look miserable and didn’t even look at me when I ordered or picked up my food 2) my salad was incorrect and tastes horrible 3) she used a MICROWAVE!!! WTF am I coming to a restaurant for if they are using a microwave? The chicken in my salad was nuked way too much and had no flavor, it was also hard to chew, and she microwaved the noodles. WTF is that about? If I could give minus stars I would.

Came here for breakfast craving the turkey breakfast croissant today arriving a little after 6:50am but they were closed. I go online to check their hours and it says 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. I ended up having to go to bagel café in the same parking lot and while I was waiting for my food the employees show up running in to open the place while unloading their van with supplies and food. Disappointed.

What the heck? I always love this place and go here all the time. This morning I wanted a ham and cheese croissant for breakfast. Had to talk my husband into it. I looked online to see what time they opened. 7am, great! Its 7:15 now. I drive down there and its 7:30 by that time. Its CLOSED? Why have published hours if you dont abide by them?

How dumb is it to write a review based on the items being too pricy as if the staff can do anything about it? They are doing their job, not making the rules. I come here every once in awhile and every visit, there is always someone greeting me with such friendliness. They are extremely prompt and consistent as well! This location is extremely tidy and is a perfect place for lunch. My favorite Labou to come to.

I always love la bou especially turkey sandwich on croissant bread. The bread is always super good, but today the bread does not look or taste fresh. It felt like it was cold and refrigerated.

super friendly! i rarely find myself inside a la bou so when i do, it takes me a minute to eyeball the menu and the girl behind the counter was incredibly patient and helpful. it’s a saturday afternoon, close to closing time, and their dessert cases were almost empty aside from a few muffins. a lady came up asking and the young guy behind the counter politely told her how they’d gotten wiped out this morning. she continued to let him know how much she reeeeaaalllyyyy wanted a cookie, not letting up, like he was going to be able to whip up a single one for her. he NEVERSTOPPEDBEINGPOLITE, seeming completely genuine, and asked if there was anything else he could help her with or get her. she of course said she just wanted a cookie.

I brought Chinese chicken salad and ask for extra peanuts. They charge me .40 cents for it. It does not seem extra peanuts in the salads. The salads has six pieces chicken and cutted very thin. The whole order full of lettuce and does not have chicken at all. The salads cost almost ten dollars with extra charge for peanut. If you want a Chinese chicken salads make you own worth the money. I think people should buying salads from them.

Ordered the tomato bisque with half a sandwich. I decided to go with the eggplant, feta, spinach panini. My sandwich was so so. The soup was really good. Perfect for this gloomy day. Ladies are really cordial and helpful. I also went with the BLT for my girls. They gobbled it up. My kids run off and come back for another bite. Like the fact there are seating tables & chairs outside so they are not bothering inside diners. The line gets long for lunch so call ahead. Good overall. Will be returning.

They don’t even deserve a star. I went in there today for lunch and I ordered two combos but one was a soup and salad and the other was a soup and sandwich an because I didn’t specify what I wanted RIGHTAWAY, the cashier gave me so much attitude. She was absolutely rude and had a really bad attitude. I’m a very friendly person and it takes a lot for me to be upset but that’s the first and last time I ever go back to that location. The food is amazing but I’ve learned my lesson on trying out a new location and for now on I’ll stick to my normal location in Folsom and drive the additional 15 minutes to receive service from someone who’s actually in a good mood.

Second time I’ve come here and they don’t have baguettes ready… Save yourself time and go to the location one exit away. I came at 9:10am on a Saturday and when I placed my order the lady at the register walked away speaking a different language came back and said the bread isn’t ready because«it’s a long process» to make the bread. Couldn’t give me an estimate on how long it would take.

This used to be my favorite la bou in Sacramento. I always get the baguette and dil sauce. They never water down their dil sauce and their bread used to be so fresh. the smell of the warm fresh French bread in the morning would make me melt. Haha. However lately their bread has been a hit or miss on freshness. Yesterday was my last day buying it as I had to throw the whole bag away because the bread was extremely stale. What a disappointment! I miss the fresh bread… can we bring that back, please?!

Not a bad place and the food isn’t bad either. The people are nice and the service is pretty quick. I usually order the breads(i.e. baguette, crossaint, etc) and they’ve been fresh all the times I’ve been here.

This in general… what happen to LA Bou overall? They were a premier café/bakery now they are the 7 – 11 of the café industry. This is so sad… you might as well close them all down because you have let your customers down as as well as a having a great place to have a European-like eatery…

I only get one thing here. Maybe they’re are decent other options but nothing strikes my fancy. My boyfriend and I love their bahn mi and usually grab one for lunch at least once a week. The service isn’t anything impressive but that one sandwich is enough to entice me to stop in to grab two to go.

I used to love La Bou before Panera Bread was around. When I was working at UCDMC, they had a La Bou across the street for so many years until the Pavilion Café opened up four years ago. Then the restaurant closed unfortunately due to no business. This La Bou was conveniently located as we were in this neighborhood yesterday. Still looking for mosaic tile for the kitchen backsplash we had to hit up the tile store on Sunrise which was recommended to us by our interior designer. The parking was not too filled as we were driving the newest car in the family so we were looking for the parking space furthest away from everyone. That didn’t really happen when we walked back to the car. There were patio chairs and tables strewn outside the restaurant but it was a bit chilly so we skipped sitting outside. They looked a bit dirty which was a shame. The restaurant inside was set up kind of strange. We needed to use the restrooms first so we walked in all the way to the back for that! We finally placed our order in. It was cool outside and I really was in the mood for tomato bisque soup which is TDF here. My HB ordered a bread bowl with potato soup. That was heavenly! I also ordered the La Bou chicken salads to go which include butter lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pasta and grilled chicken. They give you their dressing on the side. I like pretty much most of their chicken salads whether it is the chinese chicken or caesar chicken salad. Yum! My favorite pastry there is their Apple turnover but because I watch my weight, I passed on that this time around. I almost forgot that my favorite sandwich here was the grilled chicken sandwich with red pepper and cucumber slices. Super healthy:) I scarfed down the soup but later my tummy was upset. I have a sensitive stomach when I eat cream anything. My HB reminded me that the same thing happened to me a couple times before. Why am I such a idiot that I can’t remember that??? Well so much for eating at La Bou! I just will stick with their salads. If you can look past how this La Bou looks, try it out. I still like the business and will stop and eat here on occasion especially if it is so much out of my way!

My friend and I came in for a couple of boba tea drinks with taro. The boba was good, and there was lots of it. The actual drink was good, but not the best I’ve had. It was overflowing the cup to the point that I was worried at first that I had been given whipped cream. I’d say the flavor was more ice, and less flavor, than at my favorite establishment. The customer service was okay. No smiles, pretty matter of fact, but quick and accurate. The actual shop was nice. Spacious, but cute, and clean. I’m going to go ahead and be fussy and point out that boba is just not as fun when it doesn’t come with a giant neon straw that you poke through shrink-wrap. Just saying.

Today I tried the avocado club. It was my first order from La Bou and I really didn’t know what to expect. The sandwich was put together perfectly. Just enough spread and the vegetables and fruit were fresh and crisp. I just moved to this area and boy am I glad a coworker went and picked up take out there today. It is very good and I will definitely be back. On a side note I ordered the avocado club without even looking what was in it. The sandwich does not have any meat at all and it doesn’t need it. It is delicious. I’m a meat and potatoes guy but this sandwich was very good and I would definitively order it again.

Love me a salami and Swiss on croissant even as simple as it is, and I always get a half baguette with a side of dill because who can’t resist those explosive nutrients =) This location could be a little cleaner
