The Habit Burger Grill

Usually go to the Habit in Elk Grove, they have the best service, however, since we were in the neighborhood we decided to stop in the Habit in Rancho, when asked a question the girl at the register seemed to not know and never bothered finding out, just stood there… hmmm…shouldn’t you know the answer to a simple question like why is there a different calorie count on the shakes and malts if they’re all one size. Mmmm
P. S. soda area is also pretty dirty. THE one in EG is always clean. Not coming back here.

Habit is the best name.
Because that’s what it’s become to me. I freakin’ love me a Habit Charburger with Cheese, among other menu items.
I am rarely ever out this way, but it was on the way home from Sky High so we swung by to refuel after sweating (re: jumping) for an hour, like we were kids. Which I am not, obviously!
This location is a little bigger than the one on Howe Avenue, but on par with one of the ones in Folsom. Lots of seating indoor and some patio seating too. It’s a little hidden in a fairly compact and populated strip mall over in this area.
The food and staff were great, as are most of the locations. It was just as good as I am accustomed too, so I don’t have too much to review.
They were consistent like their other local locations, which makes me happy. Good food, good service. Can’t ask for much more.
Oh and the ranch is A+ at Habit, another reason to frequent.

It’s like In-​N-​Out, but good.
More menu options, better burgers with a nice charbroiled taste.
Love the Santa Barbara Char, can’t go wrong with all that avocado.
Possibly my favorite burger chain.

I know I’m late but this was my first visit to any Habit burgers. The service here was decent and the cleanliness was decent as well. As for the food itself it was ok but nothing special.

Makes an awesome burger every time, I’ve had the salads, and some of the specialty sandwiches, I’ve never been disappointed. Their shakes are on point, the fries are good. If you’re looking for a good burger this is your place. I recommend the cobb salad if your looking for a good salad. But try everything, you won’t be disappointed, even the fried vegetables are pretty good.

This was my first time eating at this fine establishment and let me tell you it’s was excellent. I chose to eat the «Santa Barbra Style» and this was by far one of the best burgers I’ve eaten. The sour dough bread was nice and toasted and the avocado was fresh and delicious. The hamburger patties were cooked perfect and all the toppings tasted fresh. Also enjoyed the onion rings. This is a place I would definitely be more then happy to visit again.

I was in the Ranch Cordova area a couple of weeks ago on business and it was getting on lunch. Looking up on Unilocal,I found that there’s a Habit Burger right in this area. Habit Burgers has always been at the top of my list of Burger places, fast food or not, when you consider the prices. Yeah, I might get a better ½ pound charcoal grilled Angus beef burger on some artisan bun served with truffle oil fries, but that’s gonna be a $ 16.00 burger and fries. Plus, that’s no quick lunch, like I can get here at Habit Burgers for a little under $ 7.00! Sure, In N Out will be about a buck less for about the same thing, but the Double CharCheeseburge here will totally beat out a Double Double in size, weight and tastiness! Plus, Habit has on line ordering… In N Out has none.
I go on in and am greeted by the same modern upscale interior of all the Habit Burgers. Nice clean interior and no line this time! The service is well trained and well oiled. I know what I want and get my Double Charburger with cheese ($ 4.85), Swiss please (choice of cheese at fast food!), extra grilled onions (no charge) and an order of fries ($ 2.00) and just water to drink. My total was just $ 7.00 and change. Swiped my credit card and BAM all done! I get a pager to buzz me when my order is done. I love this pager system, way better than like at In N Out with some guy yelling out my number and hope I hear it. That don’t work when you sit outside like the pager will!
As I wait for my order I get some of the available malt vinegar for my fries and grab a nice booth table. No other fast food burger place has Malt Vinegar for you, except Five Guys, but for those prices, I may as well go to a real sit down restaurant and have a full service burger.
My pager buzzes me and I go up and get my food. Wow, those fries are stacked high! No skimping on fries here! My Double Charburger looks tasty as usual. I always look forward to that first bite into this hefty burger. OMG! I just love that charbroiled meaty flavor, melding with the grilled onions and cheese… yummers! The fries are fried so evenly and perfect, and super hot as well! As I fill my water cup, I do notice other customers with water cups filling them with soda instead of water … geeze people! The employees seem to notice that, but let it go on. I guess better to let some cheap soda go, than to alienate paying customers … smart business!
I’m stuffed after my scrumptious lunch. I always look forward to my visits to Habit Burgers. If you’ve never tried The Habit … get on over to one near you!

You know the line was out the door during lunch, but it moved really fast and so did table space when I got my food and sat down.
I always feel kind of guilty eating too much of fatty foods like burgers, but The Habit seems like it’s a clean burger. Well when you don’t add a bunch of condiments (i.e. mayo). I ordered two char-​burgers w/​o cheese and they were as expected – good.
They always have a bunch of hot peppers or pickled stuff on the side to eat with your meal and the place was super clean. Again they were slammed busy and I got through the line, got my food and was out in like 20 minutes. They have a good operation going on.
Food was good, fast and good service. Overall 5 stars.

I have always loved eating at their establishment. The employees are always work hard to keep the customers happy. I received a free meal while I was waiting patiently in line tonight. When the ladies in front of me had a huge order.

Never heard of this chain but the lady has eaten here a couple of times and enjoyed it. It’s clean and the staff is super friendly. Well maybe a little too friendly amongst themselves. While I was getting napkins and condiments they were throwing things at each other. By all means have fun with each other but take it off the floor.
I ordered the cheeseburger and fries and have to say the burger was really good. Seasoned well and cooked to maybe a little over medium. Very tasty. The fries were nice and crispy. Nothing fancy as far as seasoning or salting them so you do need to add salt and pepper if you like. I would go back when craving a burger. For me way better than in and out or any other fast food joint.

This location is right down the street from my office and my coworkers and I are glad it’s so close!
After multiple visits I can attest to this Habit’s high level of customer service and consistent food quality. This place gets super busy at lunch time but the Habit team keeps everything working smoothly. I’ve always received my orders exactly as ordered and served by friendly staff.
My go-​to order is the #2 double cheeseburger combo meal. So classic and flavorful but I’m not sure why they bother to serve French fries because the onion rings are so insanely fantastic!!! Seriously Yum!!!

Habit and wingstop aren’t only in the same area, wanna know what else they have in common? They both have really good ranch. I’m such a stickler for good ranch. Hidden valley is unacceptable. This habit seems to be located in the more newer part of rancho Cordova. It’s clean, safe, and pretty .
We went to this habit for the first time today. Upon walking in, we noticed a few people dining outside. Their outdoor dining area isn’t as big as Elk Groves, but there are about 3 tables with umbrellas placed outside. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Zach Efrons look alike. He was super nice and asked us how we were. Excellent customer service. My bf who had just got off work was extremely hungry and added bacon + Tri tip to his double char. My thoughts were: «are you able to do that here?!» The kind employee confirmed that you can do whatever you like as long as you pay for it. Good to know ! Our food was not only made fresh, it was also delicious, and came out super fast!
Although today was my first time, I’m definitely coming back after today’s great experience :)

This is a good solid burger joint. The output is a cut above your typical fast food place and they have good salads too. The burgers are tasty and they have a nice array of condiments.
Cons:
The place does a serious lunch business and can be hard to get into on a weekday. No problems weekends.
I go here all the time for an honest burger.

This Habit Burger Grill is always busy during lunch hours during the work week. Located in the main eating area with the other restaurants, vehicles are always on the move through the parking lot. There are plenty of parking spots so finding one is not an issue. The line can go out the door and I think at most they have two cashiers. There are seating outside and inside but inside seating is hard to find so be ready to pounce on a table once it opens up.
I have tried both the single and double charburger and just by looking at the name one is single patty and the other double patties. Good burger to try for first timers. The burgers are juicy, fresh veges, and a good size portion. I have also tried the grilled chicken salad and that is a delight too. A very simple salad with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and carrots with your choice of dressing. I have always liked my salads simple so this was perfect.
They do serve chicken and other sandwiches. My next trip here I will try the other items.

The Habit Burger is aptly named, because I could easily make a habit out of eating here! I love all the choices they offer from a variety of burgers, sandwiches, salads, sides and desserts!
We took my dad to this location because he had never been to The Habit Burger before. I usually get the fresh albacore tuna sandwich which is more than I can eat, so this time I tried their veggie burger. Joe K and my dad had the double charburgers with cheese. We all had a side of fries and fountain drinks. The food was consistently and expectedly delicious. Fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection! My only complaint was that the toasted wheat bun that the veggie burger came in got soggy very quickly and I ended up having to eat most of it with a fork!
Our lunches were absolutely satisfying and got us so full, that we could barely get home and resume the yard work we were trying to get done. I rather would have taken a nap instead! It was too bad we were so full, because the dessert menu was SO tempting!
Going to The Habit Burger is a habit I can live with!

The Habit is one of our go-​to places when we have our dog. They have outside seating that is pet friendly. Their menu is fairly simple — burgers (beef, chicken or veggie), fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, shakes and sodas. Alternately, you can get a salad made with the same ingredients as the burgers.
They don’t make your food until you order it so it’s always fresh and hot. After you place your order, they confirm the order and then «call it back» to the cooks behind them. They give you a buzzer that buzzes when your order is ready. The food is cooked on a grill with an open flame so it has a good flavor.
The employees are friendly and attentive and the restrooms and condiment bar are always clean. It’s always a beehive of activity in the restaurant.
The veggie burger is good and comes on a whole wheat bun. I order it with no honey mustard, no sprouts, no onion and no cucumber (so that it only comes with lettuce and tomatoes). Sometimes I’ll add pickles or avocado.
Fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries are always fresh and crispy and are all equally good. The Habit consistently delivers a solid product combined with a pleasant experience– a formula that works for me!
