Food is tasteless, nothing too special… Seems like they have a lot of good reviews which I don’t really know why but if everyone wants to try some tasty delish food then try China Point off of Archibald.

Just like Apple and free don’t go together, Good service and Chinese restaurant don’t commonly go together either. This is not the first time I write this statement about a Chinese resturant. Gf ordered the cold noodle dish. Didn’t like it ATALL and neither did I. It just had this weird tangy spicy taste that doesn’t sit right with us. I get it, this is a «SiChuan» style restaurant, and the dish might just taste like that. Just because we are not used to it doesn’t mean its the chef’s fault, but wow. I asked if there’s anything they could do, very nicely. Then came the legendary 5000yr Dragon service. Well, from the«manager», the waitress was kind. I asked if they could do anything to compensate. Cool, you denied it, cuz we ordered it. But hell, you gon treat us like shit? This«dragon descendant» comes out, stares at me and proceeds to walk to the table just to stare at my gf. I don’t get the dragon way of life. Like they don’t want business? We are not demanding anything, just something to make a still-hungry customer happy. No, we get 5 mellinium dragon crap treatment. You want your 7 bucks? Keep it. And keep your nasty stinky dragon breathe to yourself. For all you know, restaurant like this would have no problem using gutter oil to save some pennies.

Used to frequent this restaurant, but my recent visit will ABSOLUTELY be my last. Ordered a cold noodle dish that took forever to come out, and when it finally did, I was not at all happy with what was on my plate. There was no flavor in this dish. It was very spicy(which is not the problem) and extremely SOUR. Frankly it was inedible. The taste stung my lips and tongue, and as I’m typing this my lips are still stinging. Needless to say I only had a spoonful of this disgusting dish. When asked whether they could exchange the dish or at least cut the dish price in half on the reciept,(since the food was barely eaten) management declined to do ANYTHING! But guess what they did do ladies and gentlemen? Demand the full price of the dish! They didn’t try to remedy the situation at all! But they definitely made sure they took the money! The manager also thought it would be a good idea while my bf was talking to the cashier, to come to the back of the restaurant and condescendingly stare at me like something is wrong with ME. Again, this treatment is often typical of Chinese restaurants when you’re not Chinese. I am furious and will certainly not ever return to this restaurant again. HORRIBLEMANAGEMENT. (waiters were very kind however!)

If you love spicy food, this is the place to be! It’s spicy overload! But still very good! It’s very family style-y, so I would suggest coming in a group. But if not its fine, you can always share. Me and my friend shared the boiled fish hot pot. It could’ve fed 3 people but we took some togo so it was fine LOL The soup itself is good! Very flavorful and tasty! I didn’t like how the fish still had all the bones in it. It made it really hard to eat. There are only a couple of fish too… Other stuff that was in it were bean sprouts, tofu, pickled vegetables, etc. We also got the green beans which were really good! I always try the green beans and any asian place I go to because they are my favorite! Everything was super yummy! Would recommend if you’re craving spicy asian food in the IE!

We wanted Chinese food and found this on Unilocal. When arrived, there are two very similar restaurant side by side. The place is spacious and can accommodate large party. In front of the window, there was a promotion for free XiaoLungBao with order over certain amount. 5 hungry people, it was easy to receive the free XLB. Food was overall fair but on the oily side. Full of flavor and the spicy definitely was there. Service was fair and the waitress was very sweet. I’m on the fence of recommendation to the establishment. There are better places I know with similar food.

Very good chinese food. All my dishes were fresh and full of flavor. Even though they advertise some dishes are spicy, I did not taste the heat. I asked for chili and got tray with vinager, soy sauce, chili flakes in oil. I love spicy so would of appreciated some chilis or chili sauce. When you spend $ 20 or more you are given dumplings or noodles. I choose pork dumplings very good. I was charged double on my bill for drinks but when I pointed it out to waitress she apologized and removed extra charges. Overall great quality food.

I went for dinner, they charge 4 piece 生煎包for$ 8.99, when I got my bill I was so surprised. Then I found that the 生煎包 is not listed on their menu so they just charge whatever they want. Usually you can get it free if you spend over $ 20. But tonight they don’t give it for free so we ordered it. $ 8.99 for just 4 piece~ glad that I only ordered 1

This restaurant was recommended by a trusted friend, otherwise I don’t know what I would think from the stupid idiotic mixed Unilocal reviews. This place is fantastic. Don’t hesitate to go here if you like real Chinese food. It is one of the few good places to eat in the entire town, I was so happy to find it. It is in a mini strip mall with a Ranch 99. We were only 3 and over-ordered, which we don’t mind. When I arrived my table had already ordered a beef soup because they were starving. The broth was light and flavorful, there was hardly any beef pieces though, and it came with fresh round springy rice noodles. I like wheat noodles better but this was fine for an appetizer. The menu was very large so we didn’t know what to get, but one of the more English speaking waitress told us the dry hot pot was a «must» when we asked about it. So we got the dry hot pot, served in a very large bowl or pot, over a flame to keep warm. We picked shrimp and tofu. This was the bomb! Get it! It came with some slightly roasted vegetables like lotus, celery and cauliflower plus some kind of potato. The shrimp was head-on but I thought it a little overcooked. Still it was flavorful. I loved the crispy fried tofu mixed in. Really great. The light sauce has plenty of ginger. While I am writing this I got out the leftovers and my dogs loved the shrimp heads. I wished I saved that from dinner, because there was plentiful shrimp in this for $ 20 and could feed 4 We also ordered the green beans which are fried and covered in toasted garlic and a little sauce. We fought over the leftovers. I won. We did not like the half duck, tea smoked. It tasted like ham. I have had this another place long ago(Hunan) and liked it better. We would have prefered just roast duck. Our mistake. They have a tiny section of Hunan dishes I would like to try. The service was fantastic. We came early. I don’t know why anyone would complain. We had 3 different people coming over to wait on the table, but all good, helpful, nice. One just wanted to take our order like 3 times, but we were not ready. We are Caucasian, one speaks Mandarin but didn’t. We forgot to ask for any heat adjustment, but our food was not spicy to me. We had one that likes it hotter and one that likes it less hot. I am in the middle and it was fine. I am very much looking forward to eating here again.

The quality is the same every time I go which is very comfort me after a long shopping day. Service is good. I wish they can close at 10 pm. I like the spicy grandma fish. Sweet rice ball soup is the best than most Chinese restaurant.

Best Chinese food ever! Incredible flavors, reasonable price, great service for a Chinese restaurant, and clean. My favorite restaurant! Try the twice-cooked pork, chicken cubes with hot pepper, boiled beef in chili sauce, or Kung Pao chicken. All delicious. Wish they served beer but you can’t have it all.

We were in Cucamonga having shopped at the big mall and yes, Victoria’s secret is spot on with staff that are actually attentive and helpful. Oh, ladies, did you know that the BF is allowed in the big dressing room to… ahem. comment on the selection and fit of lingerie items? Well it was a kick for certain… but I digress. Back to the Red Chili House, it said in the reviews that it’s Szechuan and I thought«yaaayaa» spicy… it hadn’t started to rain yet but it was overcast all day and a blast of hot chili sauce sounded great. By the way, Siri or Navi… you stink on navigating to this place. After driving past it a couple of times, crossing the street, we returned and drove into the far left driveway and stared at 4 Asian restaurants in a row. The décor is typically Chinese strip center and clean; the waitress was pleasant but perplexed when I asked for the sizzling rice soup. It was a joke and embarrassing when she patiently explained that was different Chinese food so I stifled the thought to ask for Peking Duck. Ok. Done with that silliness I got serious with the menu. It looked like over 100 items; can’t say that’s a plus in my book. I asked about some green beans. Yes she said, fried green beans. Fried? Not steamed? Definitely fried. She meant of course stir fried but the English wasn’t that great and I didn’t want fried green beans so we passed. Ordered Green onion pancakes and tried to order some«fat» noodles. She said they had non. They had skinny rice noodles. I understood that to mean vermicelli noodles… I would have gone to the Phở place if wanted those. While I write this review I’m looking at photo after photo of Dan Dan noodles… aarrgh they look amazing!!! The Green onion pancakes looked great and tasted phenomenal being lightly fried, well seasoned with crispy layers of flakiness. I asked for red chili sauce considering the name of the place, I was surprised it wasn’t already on the table. She nodded and came back with a cute little glass jar with tiny spoon and stainless lid. The chilis were colored richly red and fully soaked into chili oil. Yum and yum again. Hey, it’s important! The sauce, the herbs, the seasonings are all noticed and appreciated by this foodie! Next was the walnut shrimp. While the flavors were good, in my experience it should have had a little crunch to it. It was saturated with too much sauce. But like I said, the flavor was appetizing. Of course no Peking Duck but they do have a duck that is generously plated, moist with crispy skin and absolutely divine. The portion was so generous I took some home and munched on it for lunch in the office. Unilocalers, I love you guys. After all, I check your reviews before I stop at a random restaurant but didn’t think to check the photos while I was staring at the menu. Thanks Dan F. You’re the photo wizard of Red Chili House. If I’d seen your photos there I would have ordered the Lamb, hot pot and dumplings. And the price just can’t be beat. Oh well, guess we’ll have to go back for more Szechuan and lingerie.

This is my and my husband’s first time here. If you like hot food this is the place for you. My husband ordered the hot-and-sour wonton soup and boy was it hot for him. It actually had a very good taste to it. The soup is not your typical hot and sour soup. I ordered the kung pao chicken and it had a sweet and hot taste to it. I think red chili house is good.

Went here for lunch the other day, place was empty inside. About six Asian men chiefing their cigarettes outside the front entrance door Asked the server for a To go order, he recommended the cubed spicy chicken. Paid 13 $+ for the meal I got home, there was about ¼lb of chicken, no rice or side offered. Waste Of Money Go Elsewhere

Good authentic Szechuan food. Had some chili tofu, fried chili fish, green onion pancake, tilapia in sauce, soup dumplings, pig ear, cold beef slices, and smoked chicken. All were very good with the exception of the tilapia, not my favorite — great presentation though. Good service and the food was fresh.

Yay! A place that serves close to authentic Chinese food! I’ll try and make this short and simple. Pros: The food is flavorful. Everything tastes different in the best way possible. You get several flavors going on in each dish. They gave us a complimentary batch of dumplings! I don’t know why, but they did and it was sweet of them. Their twice cooked pork is delicious. I don’t typically eat pork, but I will for this dish. Servers are all very sweet and really attentive. I don’t think my cup was ever left empty. Cons: It’s about 24 mins away from my house which makes me sad lol. :-( Will come back!

For Rancho Cucamonga standards, this place is good. You can come here and get some Sichuan food and rather inexpensive. The place appears to be clean and the service was better than most. The menu is extensive and has some good dishes. Like the name states, they focus on spicy foods. If you don’t like spicy foods, this place is not for you. Now… Compare them to let’s say something in Rowland Heights such as Chengdu Taste… This place is far from that. I didn’t find the food here to be spicy enough or «numbing» enough. They did use a lot of pepper but it wasn’t the same effects as I am used to. We got: –口水雞(kou shui ji) and it’s basically cold chicken marinated in spicy oil… It was for sure cold chicken… But that’s it –Eggplant– standard egg plant –魚香肉絲– shredded pork in a fish sauce… Too much vinegar –Chicken lettuce wraps– too much water chestnuts not enough chicken… And the lettuce cups weren’t washed –水煮魚片– fish fillet in spicy oil… Once again… Lots of pepper but not enough spice Would I recommend? Sure if you don’t want to drive to Rowland Heights.

Driving past LA on our trip to the Desert, swiftly as to avoid the holiday weekend Vegas traffic, we «settled» for Szechwan food in Rancho Cucamonga. Little did I know that this under-publicized, suburban chili house would become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants… anywhere. If you’ve never had REAL Szechwan food, I must warn you that this food is not meant for wussy taste buds. Hot chilies, proteins, pink peppercorns and other veg are typically fried in chili oil. Often this spice combinations requires me to take off at least one layer of clothing and request a healthy stack of napkins to dry my sinus cleanse. Yet the one iconic side-effect of eating this cuisine is the unique and intense mouth numbing which occurs about half way into the meal. Sounds like hell? Well, it can be. But at Red Chili House in Ranch Cuc, the combination of ingredients make for pure ecstasy in my mouth. Mapo Tofu… delicious. Fried Chicken with Chili Pepper… best I’ve had. Spicy wontons… the dipping was quite unique and memorable. In short, the Red Chili House was so good that i now have a fond opinion of the suburb of Rancho Cucamonga… something I never thought possible.
