The food was great. We had the #25 special beef combo and the fried egg rolls, very yummy. The service was fast and courteous. The restaurant was nice decorated. I highly recommend it.

Wanted to like this place but the service was really slow and terrible. The food was average. Idk if I would try this place again because honestly we waited 10 minutes to get our order taken. The food came out pretty fast but no one came to check how we were. Also it took 15−20min to get our check and on top of that we ordered a drink that never came. We were charged for that drink in our check and when we told them they brought out our drink but it wasn’t even made right. They gave us a black ice coffee even though we ordered a regular ice coffee and they made us seem like we had ordered it wrong when their waiter took the order wrong and there was no apology at all for the drink fiasco.

I organized my mom’s suprised birthday celebration at Phở 89 in December. Lisa, the restaurant manager was very attentive and pleasant to work with. She helped me pick out the dishes in advance. On the day of the party, I had the family there early. She gave us a reserved space to put up decorations. She and her waitstaff also helped me set up the tables and checked in frequently to assure we had everything we needed. When my mom came, she was so surprised that she had tears in her eyes. We were very pleased with the food. My favorite ones were the crab soup, rare beef marinated in lime sauce, house fried rice, and beef sautéed with garlic & chinese broccoli. The service was great as well. My family had an enjoyable time so thank you Phở 89 for your superior service. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Got the rice plate with chicken and the coconut drink with coconut in it. Out of all the phở places I’ve been to this is the only place(that I know of) that has this. They were both delicious. Would recommend everyone who’s in the area to go. There’s two sections to the restaurant almost, like a lower half and a top half where the bar is. The tables were clean and nothing was sticky like most Vietnamese places that I’ve gone to.

Today was a cold, wet wintery day, so it was perfect day for phở! My family usually comes to Phở 89 as it is very good. The location is convenient to I-95, and there is plenty of parking. The restaurant is spacious and is good for larger groups. I usually get the Phở #23. The phở noodle soups come in children’s size, medium, large and extra large. The medium size is perfect for the average person. The large is good if you are hungry, and the extra large is you are either super hungry or would want to share with others. I sometimes get the rice dishes if I am not in the mood for noodle soup. We also usually get the spring rolls(not the fried kind) and some sort of chicken appetizer(wings, popcorn chicken or skewers) as my nephews like to have something to eat before the main meal. I like the Vietnamese coffee(either hot or cold). I have not had anything here that was bad. Service is good!

We came here for dinner with a group of friends and ordered family style with the most popular family style dishes — sweet and sour soup(canh chua) and caramelized fish and pork(ca va thit kho to). Both dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted so delicious! They make me feel like home :) highly recommend!

So happy to find this place. Not the best I have ever had, but best in Boston area for sure. Good size portions, friendly staff, great food. Will be a regular spot to eat at from now on.

I decided to give 3 star as the quality has gone down since they first open… in addition, I decided to be adventurous and order various new food. I ordered the following: 1. Twin Lobster with ginger and scallion: I will never order this again. The lobster came out soggy, it did not taste good compare to the ones at a real Chinese restaurant. Please avoid. 2. Banh Xeo: it was very oily and the flour tasted bad. 3. Salted calamari: some days, this dish is wonderful. Taste great but on days that are busy, the dish is soggy n taste bad! 4. Phở: this is a hit or miss now, the phở on some days is very flavorful and tasty. But some days, very oily!!! Overall, this is not a bad place. Will I go again? Sure but I will definitely not order the twin lobster and Salted calamari again. Leave these to an authentic Chinese restaurant!

Great food, great location(right off the highway), amazing service(like no other Vietnamese restaurant; from seating to the bill, our waitress was so gracious), and overall great experience. This might have to be my new ‘go-to’ place. I’m so glad this place opened up! Everything my group ordered was authentic and delicious! From the rice dish, to the phở, to the spring rolls(which are a little bigger than other phở restaurants).you won’t be disappointed.

Phở 89 is relatively new to the Randolph area and we had heard good things so decided to check it out. Unfortunately the phở had a little too much cinnamon for my taste but the beef in it was good. I would stick to Phở So 1 for the phở. We also tried the Bo Kho(beef stew) which was definitely a more rich and delicious broth. The beef included a lot of fat and tendons which made it somewhat difficult to chew but was still tasty nonetheless. The avocado shake was spot on. Made with fresh avocados it was rich and creamy but not too sweet. The avocado flavor really shines and even the creamy texture comes through. This was the best avocado shake I have had in the Boston area. They have a huge menu featuring every single Vietnamese dish you could possibly think of. The restaurant is also very large, I’m guessing they could easily accommodate a large party and they did a great job of separating seated tables while I was there. Service was solid. I’d probably come back for that avocado shake and some food on the side.

This place is great. I’ve tried Phở in a handful of places in the Boston area, a couple in New Hampshire, and a few in the San Jose area when I lived in California and this is the best I’ve had yet. The staff is friendly and attentive, the décor was beautiful, it was super clean, overall it had a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything from the blue ambient lighting on the bottom of the bar, to the beautiful artwork on the walls was just awesome. I got the beef flank Phở and boy was I happy I did. The soup came out rather quickly and was loaded with flavour, without being too salty. The soup was loaded with tender meat and noodles, and they gave plenty of fresh garnishes to spruce it up. I will most certainly be back in the future to try more items from these guys. A++

This place used to be Phở Hai Lua. That was awful food and service was bad. Now under new owners. Service is much better. My favorite dish here is the grilled pork spring rolls and smoothies. The food is mediocre. I always go for phở hoping the broth is much better. Ordered a small because I wasn’t too hungry but I was wrong. I couldn’t even finish that. I should’ve gotten a rice plate instead. Will give it another try for other dishes.

I like Phở — that great Vietnamese noodle soup. I’ve had it in dozens of restaurants. When done well, it is fresh, hot, and delicious — and served with crisp fresh bean sprouts, a lime section for squeezing, and an assortment of mint, cilantro, and hot pepper for breaking up and throwing in the bowl. This is one of the best of these types of restaurants. I have eaten here four times now, and taken food out twice. I always get some variation of the Phở. Small is huge. This time I ordered the spring roles. They were great too. The price is reasonable; the place is extremely clean; the service is immediate, helpful, and friendly. The food comes out quickly. The bathrooms are very clean. The parking is easy. I’m not sure that this type of place can be any better than it is at Phở 89. Truly a treat.

I’m so happy i found a vietnamese restaurant nearby me so i don’t have to go to Boston all the time. PROS: Parking lot available; restaurant is very spacious compared to other Vietnamese restaurant; Great for Groups; Waiters are really nice here; Clean bathrooms; Take both Cash and Credit Card; Have TV here; CONS: my only complaint for rice dish(com dat biet) would be the portion is smaller compared to other place but still taste good. BO7MON aka 7 course beef: is really good here. If you never have Bo 7 mon then you are missing out. Its basically beefs that are prepped in 7 different ways. 2 out of the 7 course you actually cook it yourself(which is the fun part in itself). The only dish i would have to say is lacking compared to the other places is the Beef dipped in butter course. Typically, the beef itself suppose to be seasoned with a sauce then you cook it in the butter but they don’t seem to season the beef so you might just taste only the butter. But again, each restaurant has their own particular style when making BO7MON, so not every dish may be prepared the same way. But, I absolutely LOVE the«bo tai chanh» course a.k.a Rare beef in lime juice salad. The BO7 Mon always come with a side of plenty of veggies; vermicilli noodles; and vietnamese wrapping paper and a dipping sauce. This is a hand-on experience and don’t be afraid to try it and always ask the waiter if you don’t know what to do.

Ordered the Xe Lua(Extra Large Phở), and hey, it didn’t disappoint! It has been awhile since I’ve been served noodle soup piping hot off stove. The portions were generous(I know, even for an Extra Large), and the side dish was served with really fresh beansprouts and freshly cut lime. I really like how they keep the place meticulously clean, and the atmosphere of the place is casual and relaxed. If you want to get a nice hot bowl of phở, this is your place.

This place was a great find. Very convenient to the highway and plenty of parking. We came after a long day of hiking in the Blue Hills reservation and phở was exactly what we needed to warm up our bones. The restaurant is very nice, not at all what I’m used to Vietnamese restaurants looking like. Nice big fish tank in the entry way and a large room upstairs for additional seating. I will say it was pretty cold in there, but the service was warm and friendly. The food was really good. We started with the pork meatball spring rolls, which were pretty great. The peanut sauce was excellent. We got a phở tai and the thick crab noodle soup. Both were great. The crab soup could probably be shared between 3 people. It’s sooo thick and hearty. Like a giant egg drop soup loaded with extra goodies like fish balls, shrimp, imitation crab meat and thinly sliced pork. Holy crap, I’m going to be craving that one in the near future. I don’t see myself coming to Randolph that often but I might have to if I don’t find this soup anywhere closer to the city. I highly recommend stopping here!

The family and I have been here a few times since it opened a few months ago. We absolutely love it. The beef soup base is light and flavorful without being too salty or heavy with the MSG. The service is actually the best we’ve had at any Vietnamese restaurant. We’ve had the wait staff recommend dishes to try and check on us while we are eating. I really like that they offer a children’s sized bowl so there’s a portion size for all types of appetites. The restaurant is very large with 2 dining rooms. They can easily accommodate large parties. I highly recommend trying this place!

There’s good soup not so far away: H&N Saigon Sub or Phở So 1, both in Randolph. Phở Countryside and Phở Linh in Quincy. A bit more distant, Phở Pasteur in Boston. Phở 89 doesn’t measure up to any of them. Not even close, really. The soup lacked depth and interest. It tasted basic and more or less tasteless(I had the vegetable soup). Service was adequate, if nothing special. Our soup came, we ate it. We asked for a check, and were given one. The interior of this place is kind of funny, with an acrylic waterfall and a huge spotless fish tank filled with large, plump fish. We walked in on a sleepy Sunday evening and it was almost empty. The only plus I can see is that they have a badass 1080p projector. Maybe they play football games on Sunday?

I had phở the night before at other restaurant, here I wanted a different soup but ended up got phở, again(dont know what I was thinking). It sure did have me compared between the two. Unfortunately this place stands behind. My husband and my brother had phở as well. From our opinions, phở was mediocre, kind of lacking of flavor. Base on the name of the restaurant, they should be specialized in phở but obviously they should work more on it. Other people in our party had rice dishes with grilled meat & tofu, pork chops, meat with vermicelli, vietnamese ice coffee. They thought those were good. It’s nice and welcoming inside. Staff are great. This place is still new, but it looks promising, just need some time to grow.

With the town of Randolph lacking in any authentic Asian cuisine, Phở 89 is a welcome edition on the strip of main street. While not as great as what I’m use to back in NY, It still gets the job done. I ordered a 23 which is a number 1 back home(special combination noodle soup with eye round steak, flank, brisket, tendon and tripe). Their version of the spring roll is just a plain egg roll which wasn’t that great. There’s ample seating with 2 sections and a TV on the top floor. No liquor at this joint yet. I can foresee this place staying a while given the location.
