Omg this place lives up to recommendations(and we have Chicago standards). Not only was that the best steak I’ve had in Rapid, hands down, that might have been the best steak I’ve had period… From downtown Chicago to Texas… Flavor, tenderness, warmth, correct«medium»(which is just above med-rare) OMG… Thank You…

Awesome wine selection and ambiance. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly! Got the 32oz Delmonico ribeye and was not disappointed!

We asked for a great restaurant to take our son out for steak and we weren’t disappointed ! Our waitress Tiffany was amazing and knew the menu inside and out! We enjoyed a wonderful meal in a comfortable yet formal modern décor… pianist provides lovely accompaniment and prices were appropriately reasonable! Soups and specials are to be taken seriously!

By far the nicest restaurant in Rapid City. Recently remodeled and much better looking. Steaks are always choice and cooked perfectly. Note, they do not have a liquor license, so only beer and wine.

This is a place to go if you are looking to treat yourself to a unique taste experience. For lunch we had the French onion soup, mango chicken sandwich, spinach with garlic cream soup, and the roasted pepper steak tips with mushrooms. All items had a special flair to them. Our hostess was super and talked about the menu and the area.

This is probably the best steakhouse in Rapid City. The bone-in ribeye for two is a phenomenal cut of meat, and I challenge you to find anything else like it in this area. The first time I visited Delmonico, I asked the waiter to suggest the best steak in the menu. He recommended the Kona-crusted ribeye because«you won’t find anything else like that around here». He was probably right, but I didn’t love the steak. The meat was fine(I’m assuming it was USDA choice), but I wasn’t a fan of the preparation. It came with a sauce that was sweet and not at all complimentary to the meat. I left slightly disappointed. The service was attentive and very good, but I just didn’t love my steak. The second time I visited, I decided to not ask for advice from the server and ordered the bone-in ribeye for two… but for myself. The waitress was incredulous and warned me that I wouldn’t be able to finish it by myself. Oh, how looks can deceive. The steak was massive(probably 32 ounces without the bone), a couple inches thick, and cooked perfectly to medium rare. Very well-seasoned, with deliciously rendered fat and crisp edges. Everything you want in a good steak. It was delicious. I did manage to eat the whole thing, of course. The sides aren’t quite as good as the steak, but they’re pretty good. I would say that the bone-in ribeye is really what sets this restaurant apart from other places in Rapid City.

My friend and I had the most wonderful soup and salad here. We have been traveling for two weeks and this was the best restaurant we have eaten in. We had a wonderful capese salad with the best tomatoes ever. The butternut squash and watermelon soup was delicious. Janet our waitress was the best ever. She certainly knows her trade. It was certainly a highlight of our trip.

We had the onion soup, it was very good. A little on the sweet side but I like things sweet any how. I had the Sirloin special over a bed of kale, I was very happy with the dish. The other half had the Scallops with pork belly over creamed spinach, again she was delighted with the dish. Overall a very nice dinning experience both with the food and the staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Excellent surroundings and meal! The décor and ambience really added to the experience. Enjoyed the relaxed pace of the meal and warm atmosphere. Our server, Robert, was very personable and knowledgeable. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Food is very over priced, the calamari was delicious and then it went down hill from there. The French onion soup was way too salty, the lobster shrimp bisque came out room temp and my husband and I shared the Delmonico steak $ 79 and it was Barely enough to feed both of us, and we aren’t big people. The Parmesan fries and garlic mashed potatoes were pretty delicious. Our bill was 107 pretip. The host was rude, but our waiter was fantastic. I would not recommend and will never go back.

Best steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant! The Delmonico for two can easily feed more than two people. The Foie Gras of the moment was brûléed and served with a balsamic sauce(yum). The steak came with two sides; the Parmesan truffle fries had great flavor, but I wish they were crispier. The lobster mac & cheese was spot on; creamy and delicious with big chunks of lobster. The entrée also came with a salad(nothing memorable). Good beer as well.

French onion prime rib sandwich — wow — one of the way meals period on the road. When you are in rapid, do yourself a favor, don’t eat at another ghetto chain meal — come check out the DelMonico Grill!

Ever since the remodeling the décor and the food has gotten so much better. Service is top notch not only for rapid city but for any city in the nation. They cook the steak to perfection! Beautifully seasoned and the sides compliment the main dish!

We had a fantastic experience dining at Delmonico. The food was excellent. Standouts included the calamari(sauteed, not fried – perfectly tender, with hot cherry peppers adding some zip) and the New York strip, a 16 oz cut cooked to a precise medium rare. What made the meal great, however, was our server. She knew the menu, made great recommendations and paced our meal perfectly, I honestly did not expect to see this standard of service in Rapid. The dining room is elegant and welcoming. We sat at a romantic small table by the front window – perfect! I know where I will be eating the next time I’m in town…

Very nice relaxing atmosphere but could use better music. Food was delicious. We ordered the Delmonico for Two, for dinner. This meal included a beautiful large cut of Delmonico steak cooked as requested, one potato dish, one small vegetable dish, and included two salads with nice dressings. We were charged for the second potato dish, and thought a second vegetable would be included considering it is described as a meal for two. Server was excellent. Water guy drove us nuts coming to the table way too often. I would recommend Delmonicos, but be prepared to spend well over $ 100 for dinner/tip, which included meal and two glasses of wine. Desserts looked great but too full to order those!

Delicious! Stopped in for lunch with my brother and grandma. I had the tomato soup with a buffalo burger. While the buffalo burger was good, the soup was really the winner of the meal. It was creamy, but not with too much dairy. My brother had an open-faced french dip that he enjoyed, but was a touch on the heavy side. For dessert, we really enjoyed the crème brûlée which was made in-house(and I believe it – I’m pretty good at sniffing out frozen desserts). Lunch for 3 for $ 36…a pretty decent deal for good quality and service.
The wedge salad was good(gotta pay extra for the bacon and blue cheese crumbles which is stupid, just charge $ 8 and be done). The filets we ordered were good, well seasoned and cooked as ordered. The bourbon mashed sweet potatoes was terrific, great flavor. Minus two stars for: unimpressive wine list, bread that was hard, and baked potato served almost cold didn’t even melt butter. Fantastic service by Molly.
