Can I give a negative star? We are actually thinking about writing McDonald’s HQ. This place is gross. I saw a family with 2 little girls refuse to use the ladies restrooms. There was poop on the men’s bathroom floor. No paper towels. No soap. The manager had boogers hanging from his nose. Do not stop in Raton whatever you do. Please take my advice.

Filthy filthy filthy! Never saw a McDonalds this dirty. Bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in forever. Can only imagine what it’s like behind the counter.

Beware! At 6:30 AM this parking lot was littered with trash. Trash cans were overflowing. Doors were filthy as if they’d not been cleaned in days. Welcome to the dirtiest McDonald’s ever. No soap in the restroom.

This McDonalds is really busy because it’s one of the limited food options just off the interstate at the NM/​CO border. The food was okay, the staff was efficient but spent way too much time and effort laughing and joking with each other – no really attention to the customers. The place was also not great for cleanliness. Not planning to stop here again on future trips.

Well it’s McDonalds so there’s not quality food but it’ll pass. But, when we got there their credit card machine was broken and we had to pay with cash. It’s not a big deal but seriously? Then when we got our food after we ordered the employee made the price unclear. And I went thorough drive thru. Who knows what’s inside?

Despite the fact it says FREE WI-​FI, there wasn’t any for the hour we were here. When we ordered ice cream, we were told their ice-​cream machine wasn’t working, but during the hour we were here, they just kept repeating that with no sign of anyone working to remedy the problem. On a hot day like today, this location lost hundreds of dollars. We will not stop at this location again. So disappointed!

The service at this McDonald’s is terrible. It is clean, and the food is prepared to reasonable expectations, which is why it receives two stars instead of one, but if Ray Kroc were alive today and walked into this one, this would be a store that would receive an immediate makeover.
It’s convenient, but the Sonic across the street is better, and you will find better service just about anywhere else in town.

Horrible!!! Trapped in a drive thru line for 11 minutes so far. No one has even come over the intercom to take the first car’s order! Clearly we all need to give up and leave. Never been this disappointed in a simple drive thru. Taking an order should be an obvious necessity.

This McDonalds has been completely untouched by time for the last 20 years, and it’s absolutely incredible. If you want to see what McDonalds looked like in 1989, this is the place to go. I’m not a big McDonalds fan or anything, but it was like stepping back into my childhood (when I DID eat too much McDonalds).
As far as the actual food, it’s pretty standard — same as every other McDonalds, so if you’re stopping through here on the way to Denver or something, you know what you’re going to get.

No Canadian bacon for egg mcmuffin. No orange juice either. Stopped at 7am. Egg mcmuffin English muffin was burnt and the bacon they put on it, instead of Canadian bacon, was awful. Terrible place

This was a major stop in my family summer vacations to Colorado. This place is the Mom Quote, «Last Stop or go in this bottle» for bathroom breaks.
Plus if there was a round of Happy meal toys you missed in the spring, most likely they had them in full supply!

Ordered a double quarter pounder. They put a single quarter pounder in the double quarter pounder box. Forgot the pickles on my daughter’s cheeseburger. Forgot the ranch sauce with my son’s nuggets. Flies pestered us while we ate inside. Squeeky swivel chairs. Other than that, not too bad.

Took 15 minutes to get 3 drinks, then one was wrong. Didn’t have change to break a $ 20.00 bill. Only one person taking orders, needless to say, not a pleasant stop. Kids more agitated by the time we left than when we got there.

Centennial, CO
I wouldn’t normally bother to write a McD’s review, but there are a few things you should know about this one.
First, it is in Raton — so if you are on that long haul from NM into CO and need a stop you will likely stop here for gas and food. This place is a hot spot. Tour buses, locals, travelers — everyone goes here. The parking lot was packed, the restaurant was packed and it was tough to get in and out.
Now, I will say the staff did well to keep the crazy in check and provide some order to the crazy amount of people in here at lunch time.
However, if I did it again I would go to Sonic — seriously this place is too busy and parking is to tight to make it an enjoyable experience!

This appeared to be the only place to eat on the I25 corridor on the long drive from Santa Fe to Denver. It was absolutely packed and the drive thru line was wrapped around.
Inside was full of what seemed like a 1000 young teenage girls on some tour bus from Texas. They were loud, rude, in the way and in general completely annoying. The staff did a good job of keeping the orders straight, but it still took a good 30 minutes to get our $ 10 worth of food.

I guess this is really the only place to hang out because there was a church group rehearsing their music here, a bunch of families eating dinner, and I think even a small elderly group of friends who were hanging out in groups of about 10. The staff is really friendly but ultimately … service is slow, food comes out cold … and the wait is way way way way too long …
