So good. Many choices. Huge portions. And their sugar free was even delicious! They had two sugar free choices, coffee and a Carmel pecan. Usually I have to settle for vanilla with something swirled in it. It was to feel like I was getting a treat like everyone else and not settling for what they had.

Great ice cream. Tons to choose from. Reasonable prices and generous scoops! In a nice night be prepared to wait.

I visited the mosquito yesterday for an ice cream. I ordered the peanut butter Iditarod. It was advertised as having peanut butter swirl and peanut butter cups. I was disappointed to find only 3 tiny peanut butter cups in the whole ice cream. I’ve visited many ice cream places that do not skimp on the peanut butter cups. With more peanut butter cups I would give it 5 stars.

Great ice cream flavors, my wife lives for summertime blues, and lemon merange pie, I love bear claw and try to match it with a new partner each time. Prices are great and portions are large. Wish they would pave their driveway.

Not to be missed. The Mosquito offers quality ice cream and a wide viariety of flavors. WIth oversize scoops, then sub 2 dollar ‘peeper’ is hard to beat. Dont miss this place while driving 302. Small lines, but fast moving, form at night. A busy spot in teh summer. Best ice cream place within miles

Great selection of flavors and large scoop sizes. The s’mores parfait was delicious and my son loved the shake. The wife and daughter both got scoops and commented on size of portions and flavor. Definitely worth stopping for.

The ice cream place when we’re up north. The one drawback is it is named the mosquito for a reason;) Deet up Unilocalers.

Very large portion. Creamy ice cream. Lots of selection. A little on the expensive side though.

The Mosquito has a great selection of flavors and everything I tried was very good. Portions are large and there are quite a few sizes. They have a variety of cones, including waffle cones. I had a mixture of Coconut and Salted Mocha Carmela. Both were creamy and tasty. I’m picky about Coconut and this one was yummy-creamy with flakes of coconut. The Carmela tasted delicious, but had some white candy chunks that didn’t do much for the texture. All in all, a very good ice cream experience. Not made here, by the way.

They have an amazing selection of standard and unique flavors. They now have a screened in porch to keep the Mosquitos away. Brings me back to my camp days. Will definitely return.

Huge, awesome ice cream sundaes, cones and a giant selection of ice cream flavors. Amazingly inexpensive with a nice screened porch. Don’t miss this ice cream shop if you want a treat for a terrific value.

Love this place! Fine ice cream from Giffords and wonderful service and prices! If you see a long line, it moves fairly quickly and is with the wait!

We stopped because we saw the line out the door. The ice cream is very good. Cute place to sit, a screened-in porch or outside. Nice!

The best ice cream! From MA, but every time we are at the lake we stop in — usually both nights we are here! The ice cream is homemade, and amazing. Flavors are strong and really loaded with the fillings. Our personal favorites are: caramel caribou, peppermint stick, and peanut butter itiderod. Portions are huge, so I remember the 1 or 1 ½ scoop serving.

Absolutely delicious homemade ice cream with great big ol’ portions. Especially great in the summer. This most recent visit I had 2 scoops on a waffle cone: coffee and the«Triple Chocolate Ecstasy»(chocolate ice cream, fudge, chocolate chips). The coffee was great and the TCE a rich, chocolate-lover’s dream. The ice cream melted all over my hand and I didn’t care one bit, it was so good! The staff was affable and service speedy.

Every time I’m back in Maine, I make it a point to stop here for a treat: I have never been disappointed with the food OR the service here. There’s only 1 problem: They can’t take credit or debit cards, cash only. Electronics dominate our society these days, I’d like to keep a good thing going. So hit up an ATM(until someone can get them a card-machine) and grab a scoop or two of Blueberry Ice Cream :)

Great quality ice cream with generous portions and fast service. The only downside is that the place lives up to its name: If you arrive at dusk or afterwards, you will be absolutely DEVOURED by mosquitos as you wait in line. So, dip yourself in a vat of Off! Repellent before you get out of your car and you will be fine. If you don’t, you will regret it.

I always get really excited when Boyfriend and I go to Mosquito. It’s a must stop at least once when we’re in this area. His family has a place on Sebago Lake so the couple of times I have visited with him we have made it a point to stop. The excitement builds when we see the brown building with the ice cream sign out front. Sunday when we went off island(Frye Island, that is) we came in for a couple of milkshakes. Almond Joy for me and Coffee Oreo for my man. They only had two sizes, a medium and large, so we both got the medium which was too large for both of us. They were delicious but super rich so they were hard to finish. Last time I was here I had a Caramel Caribou ice cream in a cup, which was also yummy. Tons of flavors are available here like Swamp Food, Strawberry Cheesecake, Triple Chocolate Ecstacy, Cotton Candy, etc. Sizes available: peeper(baby scoop), tadpole(1 scoop), smallmouth(1 ½ scoop), keeper(2 scoops), and largemouth(2 ½ scoops). Fun. Scoops are quite large too. There are a couple of benches out front for people to enjoy their ice cream as well as a circular stone structure with shading provided by a large tree planted in the middle to provide more seating outdoors. Inside, there is a screened in porch area that overlooks the backyard. This place is a keeper.
