This is our favorite restaurant in KC. On our way home from Denver to Springfield. Held off eating all the way from Denver to get here.

This hits me as A-OK The place is a little odd when it comes to layout and décor but then again that is part of the local charm. The service is a touch on the slow side but they make up for it on the friendly side of things. You get what you order and you get a lot of it. It is A-Okay but there isn’t anything that just stands out and you go wow they can compete on the food channel. It is a great place to meet friends and family lift a few cold ones and enjoy some conversation. Excellent spot to watch the games on TV and have some fun. Good times!

This is one of my favorite places to eat after work. It’s relatively unknown by most, it’s a word of mouth kind of place, yet if you come around dinner time expect to wait in line. It’s labeled a sports bar but to me it feels like a mom and pop where everyone knows your name kinda of place where you can get everything from burgers to potatoes cupcakes(excellent by the way)! One thing that shines and you must not leave without trying is the cheesecake which is made by the owner and flavor changes daily, it taste and looks like a 5 star bakery made it! Make sure you order it as soon as you sit down because they will run out and when it’s gone it’s gone! Great place, excellent food, fun vibe, a must try place. Oh and did I mention they have a full bar?

I went the other night. The reviews that I had read made it sound like a hidden gem. I should have known that it was a set up for a let down. First — does anybody know anything about décor in this region? Almost every locally owned place I’ve been into recently had no thought put into it. Not even worth going into details. Second — service was slow. Not that busy, we are talking maybe 3 or 4 tables going and the attention to refills etc was poor. Food — adequate. We got our money’s worth. It was all just there. Nothing stood out, and yes we even tried the bizarro fries(curly fries with queso, bacon, and green onions). Just because some of the things were made in house doesn’t make them special. Definitely one of those local hole in the wall places that caters to locals and is what it is.

Family favorite. Good food, good service. Be sure to specify you are ordering from happy hour menu or you will be charged full price. Otherwise it’s always been a good time. Highly recommend chicken strips and pulled pork here.

The pulled pork was one of the best I’ve had and their homemade BBQ sauce was very good. There is a spice in it that I couldn’t figure out but it was very good. The onion rings were pretty tasteless and the green beans were like eating green bean flavored salt. If you go, stick with the pork sandwich and you won’t be disappointed.

Went here for the first time today and now I am very worried! I just moved to Raymore from California, I loooooovvvveeeee BBQ! I had OK joes and they had the best ribs I ever had and an amazing pulled pork sandwich BUT, the pit’s PULLEDPORK sandwich blew ok joes out of the water! The Pit has the BEST pulled pork sandwich I have ever eaten. This place is literally blocks from my house and I love their food. My wife had the pork tenderloin sandwich and it was amazing. The service was top notch as well, I believe we smoke to one of the owners his name was Kevin and he was a great guys! 2 waitresses were awesome! I definitely recommend this place. I will be going back… Often.

Don’t be misled by the unassuming exterior — go in, order whatever sounds good, plus Bizarro fries, and prepare to step into heaven. Everyone is so nice — almost bizarrely nice(a compliment, truly) — and the food is unbelievable. They have great lunch specials as well!

Went here with my hubby and son. He ordered pasta said it was ok. My hubby liked his sandwich. I ordered the smoked chicken plate. It was beyond smoky. Gag worthy. I couldn’t taste chicken just smoke. The beans were nasty and the potato salad tasted like dirt. I told my waitress I didn’t like any of it. She said well I’m not taking it off the ticket because there’s nothing wrong it it. I found this extreamly rude. The only saving grace was the bazzaro fries. The dessert was even bland. I won’t be returning. It’s overpriced and the service sucked.

My wife usually comes here for lunch on workdays. She has been trying to get me to go with one time and I finally found some time to try it out. Boy, what a suprise! These might be the best chicken strips I have ever had. In. My. Life. The staff was attentive and not over intrusive. This is a must do for lunch if you are in the area. The atmosphere is great and there are TVs playing the latest sports news and action. Very relaxed and small town feeling. I thought it was a little empty of people but my wife told me they usually have a good lunch crowd and I would suggest you make yourself one of them too. Edit: my wife demanded I put a note in here about the Bizzaro Style fries. There is no other way to eat curly fries. Gotta bizzaro it up!

Always great food and drinks. Happy hour is especially awesome with pit nachos and $ 2 wells. The Pit has some of the best hand-made chicken tenders I’ve ever had!

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside. It came highly recommended. I will now do the same. My meatloaf was amazing. The mashed potatoes were some of the best ever. The green beans were the best I have ever had. Even my salad was great. They did miss a chance for the bacon trifecta. Potatoe had bacon in it. The green beans had lots of bacon. There was no bacon bits on my salad. Great meal.

This is our go to place for consistently awesome food! From the fried pickles to the burgers to the ranch battered chicken tenders… everything is wonderful. I am a huge fan of their little salad and both the honey mustard and the ranch(which they make in house!).Bizarro fries are to die for and save room for cheesecake!

We ate dinner prior to going. But we did have a couple of drinks which were very tasty. The staff was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was pleasant. It’s close to home. I enjoyed our time there watching the games. We will try the food next trip. What was coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. It’s very small but clean and enjoyable. Thumbs up!
