Fabulous food, service, and view. Can’t understand why others slammed the hosts’ attitude; our experience was wonderful. If you are in Red Bluff, this is the place to come.

One of our choice places to go out on date night. Good food and great drinks. Love sitting on the deck over the river. Service is decent but could be better.

If not for Red Bluff it would get 3 stars, but because this IS Red Bluff it gets 4! Never mind the slow service, and the very chilly room, the food was fresh and pretty darn great. All of the 9 meals looked pretty darn good. What sold me on giving the 4 stars was the Fish in the fish tacos. The fish was fabulous with not even a hint of being Fishy! This tasted 10 star fresh! On the other hand the tad bit of a fail: the fish comes out on top of the tortilla way over size me style. Well it isn’t really the amount but more the size as it has a huge amount of Beer Batter on it. There is no way that someone can eat this as a taco! It was like someone putting a British Fish Stick on a tortilla! The fish was not greasy but I peeled all the batter away, broke it up a tad and ate it as a taco! I did order a taco right? There was no salsa, plenty of green onion and pretty purple cabbage. PLEASE give me more cabbage, you know the green kind that is typical for Fish Taco? It is not just a show, it must be edible too! All and all the place was pretty darn great for Red Bluff! If you are torn between going here or a big chain here… GOHERE! If the Owner/Manager reads this… TURNUP the heat!!! And speed up lunch service for those with less than an hour lunch!

Five star Cobb salad and a ten star view of the river here in Red Bluff. Great selection of yummies on the menu. If one is here later in the day there is a happy hour.

Ordered a 26 dollar salmon dinner and the entire meal was dry, unflavored and just down right terrible. Will never go back. Service was missing most the meal

Me and my boyfriend were perplexed as to where to find a nice steak/prime rib dinner in Red Bluff, as there are not a lot of choices in this small town… we decided to try Riverside Bar and Grill, as we had been there before in the bar area, but not to eat. I had heard that the Prime rib was good. We both ordered medium rare. I ordered the mashed potatoes, veggies, and salad. First off, the salad tasted a bit«off», as if something was a bit past the expiration date. The dinner came, and the meat, which should have been fork tender… I had to saw through like a lumberjack through a tree. I unfortunatley also had to spread copious amounts of the horseradish just to add a little flavor to the bland meat. Also, my boyfriend ordered a drink on the rocks… it came with no ice at all… The veggies were undercooked as well. We couldn’t wait for the waitress to give the check so we could leave and go have a nice meal at Taco Bell. The waitresses were friendly though… however…I think we may be going to Redding or Chico for our next red meat experience…

While visiting Red Bluff, we met friends and family members here for a long overdue reunion. It turned out to be a great choice! This restaurant is very nice inside and out with plenty of dining areas, a full bar and welcoming staff. The time of day happened to be just right, so there weren’t many customers present. We snagged a large table for our group out on the patio deck and had a lovely view of the Sacramento River along with the beautiful weather. Our waitress was fun and sassy. A nice change from boring, traditional polite service! She joked along with us, including a few other waiters who helped out from time to time. Most of us drank Bloody Marys or beers. The Bloody Marys had a nice kick to them too! The special of the day was fish and chips, which several of us ordered. I decided on fish tacos, thinking it would be a light meal. But when my food arrived, it looked like I got a whole batter fried fish in each soft taco! They don’t skimp on portions here! Surprisingly, I was able to eat every bit of my lunch. It was THAT good! Although I felt guilty about eating all that fried goodness, we were having such a pleasant day together, that I lost control and splurged anyway! I think those Bloody Marys made me do it!

The patio was comfortable, the view of the river was definitely nice, my beer was cold, the service was a little slow but overall friendly and helpful, and the three pieces of cod they served me in my fish and chips were humongous and pretty well cooked. My chips could have been cooked better(I prefer my chips to be crispy) but overall it was a better than average experience. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely give them another try.

Fantastic location on a deck over the Sacto River. Friendly service(we ate there 6 times). Great drinks, wine selection good. Nice, subtle lighting(not bright and buffet-like(hate that). If you are looking for ambience, relaxation, great food and very personal service in Red Bluff THISISTHEPLACETOGO. The river view is awesome and the décor is classy western. It is so relaxing here. Never a bad experience there to date!

On our recent trip to Red Bluff the Stalker Club of redding(S.C.O.R.) made our last stop at the riverside bar and restaurant. The stalkers liked the ambiance with the inside being spacious and inviting. The bar is long and with it’s many placards decorating the walls it will keep your eyes busy and you might also notice the outside deck overlooking the Sacramento river. Having a drink on the deck is a plus!!! What a view!!! Brittany our bartender was attentive and very kind. Prices for drinks were way out of line for being in the middle of the day. because of pricing we give the bar 2.5 beers out of a six pack.

The only thing this place has going for it is the gorgeous location on the river and outdoor dining area. Otherwise the food is terrible and overpriced, their steaks are like gnawing on tires. And the service is slow and not friendly at all. The nightlife, since it’s a bar as well, is equally as dismal. The regulars that frequent this place are creeps. It’s really a shame because this place could be amazing with some changes…

Pretty place, with good prices on beer~ 10.50 for a pitcher. Husband and I were coming back from Oregon and just needed to stop and relax a bit. The patio had a nice view of the river. Food was ok, I ordered a salad and he a sandwich. The prawns appetizer was pretty tasty. Service ok, but we weren’t in a hurry.

Found ourselves in Red Bluff recently and decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. Not knowing Red Bluff and not being Unilocalers yet, we turned to the info given in the motel. It recommended the Riverside as «the best prime rib in town» — now I wonder what town they were talking about.. . Located one block off the main street overlooking the Sacramento River, it DOES have a prime location, but the«best in town» hype was a bum steer! We were there on the early side, but the lack of cars in the parking lot made a few little warning flags go up. We found our way to the bar and joined the crowd of 2 other patrons — just us, no bartender. After about five minutes sitting and discussing whether to stay or go, the bartender arrived and took our order. Seriously, how hard is Jim Beam? Eventually he found an almost empty bottle(see, SOMEONE’S drinking it!) and told us there was only enough left for one drink(there were 2 of us). Okayyyy, we can be flexible. Husband ordered another bourbon and I got my drink with FRUIT! This guy was cute, I’ll give him that and he was quite buff, but eye candy only goes so far with us old broads(I sort of hate that term, but I have to admit it fits) and then it’s «gimme my drink, buster!» When the bar started crowding up(another guy came in an plopped down right next to me), we decided to take the challenge and try the dining room. We had 3 choices for prime rib — 2 regular dinners in various sizes or the ‘early bird’ special for $ 9.95. Our first disappointment came when we were told we couldn’t have baked potatoes — choice was rice or ‘rosemary potatoes’. Who eats rice with prime rib, I think, so I chose the red potatoes with rosemary. Should’ve been rosemary with red potatoes — they were smothered in the stuff! Mine came with ‘veggies’. Is broccoli cheap? Must be, because that’s mainly what was there — I picked out the 2 carrots and 3 pieces of squash(also with rosemary — ENOUGH already) and passed on the broccoli.(Since we were on a road trip, I didn’t want to pass anything in the car the next day!) He ordered his meat well done; I ordered medium — both came cooked exactly the same. The meat was ok, but not tender as you’d expect in a prime rib, so it required extra mastication, which is a form of exercise I’d rather avoid. Since I had opted for the ‘early bird’, my mistake was less than half as costly as my husband’s choice. Following this, we had to work our way through 3 different people on staff to get our bill straightened out and you may not believe this, but they were UNDER charging us and we were being honest. We’ll probably look for a new venue the next time we find ourselves in Red Bluff.

I was shocked that Red Bluff would have a nice place like this. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance was pleasant and relaxing. The view of the river includes the ugly bridge if you are facing North, tho. We started off with some awesome freshly baked buttery bread. The salad was nice with pine nuts, awesome blue cheese chunks and not too much sauce. My husband’s prime rib was huge and for the first time ever, he could not finish it because there was too much meat. My prime rib sandwich was so-so. It was dry and hard to eat because the meat was too thick and dry. I enjoyed the rest of the meal. The staff was attentive, friendly, and we were never without iced tea. I’ll be back again as I would like to try an entrée that I enjoy more than the sandwich.

It was a hot summer evening and we were seated outside on the river just above the mosquito farm After requesting a table inside, we all felt better and didn’t have to worry about contracting malaria. So our appetites increased and we started drinking and eating. The appetizers we ordered were crab spinach dip, buffalo wings, and calamari. They were decent not great. Some of the guys ordered prime rib, steak salad, grilled salmon, fish and chips, new york steak, fillet. We all had salads that came with the meals The service was pleasant and efficient. After an 11 hour ride this place hit the spot.

I’m a little biased here because one of my brothers currently works here and the other one has in the past. The owners are good people and some of Red Bluff’s finest business owners. I recently took my family here for my father’s birthday and had a great time. We visited earlier in the evening and avoiding the typically blaring music that fills the bar side of the restaurant. Instead of sitting on the restaurant side we took a table in the bar where several screens were running and some folks from Oklahoma were playing pool. We started the meal with a hearty appetizer sampler(fried cheesesticks, jalapenos, mushrooms, etc.) and I opted for a double IPA on tap from Firestone. OUTSTANDINGBEER! My ribeye was a high-quality cut, perfectly cooked and delivered with all the standard fixings. My younger brother had the LOBSTERRAVIOLI in a cream sauce that was probably the star of the night. The view of the river from the back patio is probably the best view in downtown RB and can’t be missed if you are visiting. The staff is friendly and generally quite easy on the eyes!

SLOWSLOWSLOW! The few highlights I can think of include: — Friendly Service(when we finally got it) — Nice view of the river from the large patio — Cheap pitchers of beer!($ 10) We had alerted the folks here in advance that a large group of hungry drivers would be coming through looking for food. When we arrived, not only were they utterly unprepared for the mêlée crowd, but they were short staffed. I watched as staff people glared and rolled eyes at each other between scrambling around trying to seat us. To paint a picture for you, in the time it took between getting seated and placing an order, we made three separate trips to the bar to order pitchers of beer for the table. Yeah. No good. The food itself was actually so-so, but with a wait like that I’d sooner return to my favorite little thai place than come back here. Oh one more thing… the bar area had its own dedicated dance floor, complete with a DJ… and a CAGE?! What the heck?

If you want the best place in town for a good burger… this is it! The food is fantastic! Plenty of shaded parking, beautiful grounds and ambiance is wonderful. My only complaint: The service however, needs a kick in the rump most of the time… they are slow to refill drinks, or pick up empty’s, etc. We have eaten here several times, always promptly seated, initial drink order taken, its a 50⁄50 flip if the waitress shows up quickly to take your food order though. And heaven forbid if you need something halfway through your meal, because the waitress is no where to be found for a good 10 mins or more. Make sure you have everything you need before she leaves, or you probably wont get it any time soon.
