Excellent food and service. Tried their meatloaf, its the best meatloaf we ever had so far! And it came with steamed beans that was awesome. Rest of the food was also excellent, with nice hospitality. We are happy we went there just by chance, and will revisit if we go back to Red Bluff.

After our week at Disneyland we stopped in Red Bluff, CA at the Best Western Hotel next to the Rockin R restaurant. On the recommendation of the front clerk and the promise of a 10% discount we decided to eat dinner at the Rockin R. What a mistake! My wife and granddaughter ordered breakfast dishes as the are offered all day. My grandson and I ordered regular dinners. I informed the waitress we were staying at the Best a Western and heard we would get a 10% discount! she said, «yea, no problem». We never got the discount! It took 45 minutes to get our food and the pancakes were cold. Our waitress(the one with dark hark, not blond) was having a great time talking with some locals during our wait and after the food was delivered. She did come by once after our food was delivered, but was back talking with her friends after that. Had she came by once more I would have asked for more tarter sauce to go with my fish and chips. I finally just ate them without it and we left. I did notice the other waitress was very attentive to her customers(perhaps you should ask to be seated in the blondes station)!. Also, the hostess was very good and did a good job. Normally I would have left a 20% tip is as my custom, but since I didn’t get the discount I already asked for an hour earlier, I didn’t leave that amount. Go to the McDonalds next door, at least you will get it with in the hour and you will know what your getting.

I was a bit worried to meet family here based on the other reviews. It was their choice to meet here. I had a ham and cheese omelet everyone else had a burger. I thought the food was really good. The service was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised.

Right next to our hotel, so very convenient. Only two servers for the entire restaurant. Not their fault. Food was slow coming out. The chicken fried steak was good but the veggies were boiled for hours. The BLT had no tomato on it, so I sent it back. All in all it was OK. No fault of the restaurant but a couple of screaming kids, with their mother buried in her cell phone texting and dad being oblivious… we changed tables to the other side of the restaurant.

Breakfast was delicious the first time I was there the server was a sweetheart. That’s the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars ! But the time I went for dinner it was disgusting !! stake was cold it took about 30 min to get to my table ! Only one cook on duty and he defiantly not know how to cook a stake ! Just awful ! Will never go again for dinner maybe ! For breakfast but that’s a maybe !

Came in for the first time today. We were seated right away and our drinks arrived quickly. Then it was all down hill. It took a while for the waitress to get our order. Not a big deal except she was abrupt. I said hello and she said what’s your order. Is it that difficult to say hello back? As soon as she had our order she walked away. No «thank you» no anything. The wait time was insanely long! Okay we can deal with that specially knowing that they were making the food fresh but wow 30 minutes is a bit long. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Will we go back? Probably not. Friendly service goes a long way and this place missed the mark.

Stopped by while driving through and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated, but the food was tasty and the waitstaff was friendly. I would definitely get the roast beef sandwich again if I’m ever in need of stopping in Red Bluffs again.

Outdated. Overrated. Overpriced. Ordered their roast beef w/au jus, fries and fruit. DH ordered a burger of sorts w/fries. Both were flavorless. My roast beef sandwich was hard… as in day-old sold in the bk of the supermarket 50% off clearance let’s get rid of it NOW hard. The presentation was chaos. McDonald’s does a btr job during a summertime lunch rush in the drive-thru! DH& I hd to lol whn his burger arrived…5−10 mins AFTER my meal… as it looked as tho someone literally pounded his burger AND bun into a knuckle sandwhich! There were 3 other couples in the entire restaurant and yt we had to request beverage refills several times. We were downing mad water — it was after all summertime. I cannot say I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Rockin R is open from 6am to 9pm. They serve clam chowder only on Fridays! I came here to pick up some clam chowder after hearing great reviews from others. The clam chowder was really thick and creamy. I loved how there was a lot of chunky potatoes, clams, and spices in the chowder. It was definitely one of the best clam chowder I’ve tasted! Overall, I would definitely come back to get more chowder!

I eat breakfast here whenever I visit from the Bay Area and have never been disappointed. Yesterday I had the special, the Strawberry Waffle, two slices of bacon, and two eggs. The waffle was light and fluffy, with strawberries and whipped cream. The bacon and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The service is always friendly. I always enjoy this restaurant when I visit.

The food was amazing! I had a mushroom burger and Tater Tots My husband had a cheeseburger and fries Both burgers had that juicy flame broiled taste! My tater tots were cooked perfectly crispy and delicious! My daughter shared a waffle with fruit and they enjoyed. The service was extremely fast and friendly! We will be back next time we are in town!

A large group of us had lunch at the Rockin R a few days ago and were very impressed with our experience. A friendly staff, fast efficient service and the food was delicious. A fun western theme to the menu, and generous portions at reasonable prices.

Popped in here for breakfast. The service was average but nobody that worked there seemed to be to happy. I ordered eggs over medium and they were barely cooked. Like clear and runny. All I ate was the toast. Wish I went to Denny’s down the street.

The food was amazing! Be prepared to have an appetite. Kids and husband loved it! It’s a quaint country kitchen. Country music playing in the background, small town country feel, and peppery gravy to boot! Besides the food being delish, the service was outstanding! We were so well taking care of by the entire staff not just our waitress! Thinking of having our lunch here on our way back next week!

After getting a good night’s sleep, it was time to get some grub before getting back on the road towards home. Even though the motel staff suggested another place for breakfast, I saw this place as I drove by and decided to turn around and give it a try. APPEARANCE: Clean with a little bit of «country» strewn around. There’s also country music playing softly in the background. The clientele were obviously locals and generally older. SERVICE: When I walk in I’m greeted and taken to a booth right away. My server Annette was a rock star! She happily answered questions, made suggestions and never left me wanting for anything. I watched how she moved between her tables and the kitchen with speed and determination, not because she was behind or anything, she was focused and made sure her customers waited no longer than necessary for anything! FOOD: I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & eggs with«taters» and toast($ 8.99) which was quite tasty! The«fried steak» was crispy and seasoned. The milk gravy had pieces of sausage in it and had a slight peppery kick. The«taters» were well seasoned and had a great flavor too! I noticed this sign over the kitchen pass through, made me chuckle: OVERALL: For a place I passed by and turned around for, the food was quite tasty, the value is good and the service was Rockin!
