Bentronics

Bentronics is my cell service provider through Page Plus, a no contract service that has saved me $$. You pay a small premium but the service I get from Bill the owner is well worth the small cost. And Page Plus runs on the Verizon network! No hassles, no glitches.

As a new HAM operator, I went looking for electronic parts to further my new hobby. I did find a couple of things at Radio Shack, but those stores are way different now, than 20 years ago! They have kind of turned into a car stereo/​cell phone store.
Anyway, not to bag on RS, I found exactly the products and personal service I was looking for at Bentronics. Bill Johnson helped me get the right stuff and even gave me the HAM discount, although I had not received my ticket in the mail. I don’t mind spending money to support a local business and Bill correctly guessed that I do not wish to waste my hobby dollars on unnecessary items. He was most helpful and friendly. I will go back time after time for cables, connectors, antennae, and other supplies.

If you like to support small local business, and are looking for that odd electrical part, better cell reception in the boondocks, or something to make you laugh– this is the place to go.
The last couple of times I’ve been here I got excellent help from a young man who patiently explained cell phone boosters, repeaters, and coverage differences between carriers. Information I could not find online from any carrier.
