Denny’s

Smells like wet towels. Took about 35 minutes for a piece of cheesecake and an order of fries. Go to the bechelli Denny’s your better off

Joyce was amazing but the guy waiter was extremely rude to her. They sat us and we sat there for 20 min before I had to ask someone for some water. When I did the lady looked at me and said what do you want. Just very rude and she shouldn’t be wearing a fun meter pin because it couldn’t go that negative. I know it’s Denny’s and don’t ever have high expectations but this one was very very sad.

Good service! I went late at night with friends and the staff had good humor about my friend being tipsy. The food was what you can expect at Denny’s!

Sheila was our waitress tonight. She was amazing. She was attentive without being overbearing. She even made us laugh. The food was delicious and well cooked! I’ll be asking to be in her section again.

I don’t know why all these people expect Denny’s to be top of the line… You get what you pay for. Want to spend four bucks on a full meal? Be expecting at least a couple hairs from a couple different people, in your food.
Stop whining and go to Cattlemen’s if you want good food and outstanding service, otherwise eat your food and be quiet.

Just had lunch there with my family. .yuck. My son’s glass had lipstick on it and service was horrible.

I had been to this Dennys before, and although it was very crowded, the service and the food was always very good. But last night, was one of the WORST experiences! Let me warn you all! This place reeked of urine! Interesting to know, the bathroom did not smell like urine, but everywhere else, especially the tables, did. Although, it was completely empty, there was a large table of dirty dishes etc. as soon as we walked in the door. Even though we were the only people in the restaurant, the service was horrendous. After taking our order, our server attempted to type it all into the computer. We were only three people. But no joke. He stood there for like 10 minutes. Finally, he turned around and started to yell our order to the cook, who admitted, «Ya lost me…» The manager, Zach, played the claw machine most of the time we were there. When he went to get change for the machine, I went up to look at it. All of a sudden, my server yelled at me from across the room, «Hey, get away from there! He’s playing!» as he pointed to the manager. It was one of the worst dining experiences. Dont go there unless you wanna waste your time and money.

Okay lets be honest Denny’s was always the place we went to after a night of drinking (in my younger years). Nothing fancy but it was open, regular diner food. After trying nearly every breakfast place in Redding and being let down more often than pleased, this Denny’s has become our go to breakfast destination.
I’ve been hesitant to write a review only because I have a hard time getting my food snobbery out of the way to admit that I actually like Denny’s and would rate it as a good place to eat when in Redding.
The service, food and price point is consistently good. I just can’t see paying more at most of the other dining establishments in Redding for food that tastes the same. In this town regardless of price the food almost always comes (and tastes pre-​packaged) from Cisco or Food Services and everything pretty much tastes the same (with few quality exceptions).

This use to be the place to be on a friday night for my large party of people. It is cheap and service use to be great and fun in the evening. However last handful of times I have been in there the place was disgusting! I went there in the afternoon and the place was dead, not surprising for a typical redding diner. But the tables where dirty, floors needed a good vacuuming since there was food on the ground and half the staff was just sitting there chatting with themselves. I mean it doesnt take a genius to deepfry some food! But when you mess up a sampler, COME ON! I refuse to eat anything that isnt fried from there due to the fact I know they have bugs if it is as dirty as the sitting area is the back must be disgusting! They young staff are reasonably nice but to watch the managers sit around and gossip as only one person is serving multiple people and glasses are needed to be refilled and my food gets cold when I need a box just makes me never want to go back again. Needless to say the «good Dennys» is no longer good and I probably wont be going back anytime soon.

This denny’s isn’t all that great. The waitresses are delightful, but the managers and a few cooks look like miserable people. They just don’t have that Denny’s cheeriness that I’m used to with this chain. Short-​staffed, too. Pass many dirty tables and the managers sweeps around and cleans while people are eating (I think that’s rude).

Waitress Raven was friendly! Staff overall was great. Food=awesome. Prices are excellent. Definitely one of the best denny’s I have been to in awhile.

Good shakes and sandwiches
I came here after a long night/​morning of drinking. Stumbled into the place and found a seat. The hostess and waitress were really patient with me considering i was probably slurring my words and shouting when i should have been talking.
The food came out very quick. I had one of there breakfast sandwiches and chocolate peanutbutter milkshakes. Very tasty

Been to a few Denny’s in my day and this one is at the bottom. Water came out BROWN! They said «the city must be flushing the water system». To their credit, the taco bell next door was also having the same issue. Although the later round of water was better, the food wasn’t. They forgot my fries with my meal and when they brought them out later, they were undercooked. Wife’s nachos tasted microwaved/​flimsey.
At least the waitress /​manager were super nice.

Very good service and expected good Denny’s food.

This is an average Denny’s. Reasonably-​priced, okay diner food, bottomless cups of coffee – the whole diner shebang. We sat in the middle booth in the row facing the motel, and it kept vacillating between freezing and sweltering hot. I kind of thought that they might have soy milk, but the waiter’s answer was a blank ‘no,’ after which he just turned and walked away. Hmm…

In the name of all that is good in the world… somebody shut this place down!
This place is a joke on the out-​of-​towner. A very bad joke. It has been good in the past and it has been bad. Currently, it is bad. The best Denny’s in the area is the one in Chico. So, if you absolutely have to go there, that is the closest «good» one.
