While driving from Sacramento through Redding on our way to Seattle to our daughter’s graduation, my wife« Unilocaled» «dog friendly» restaurants. The Sandwichery was highly recommended for great sandwiches, large proportions, and friendly service. As soon as we arrived, without asking, the owner brought out a bowl of water for our dog. We ordered a hot pastrami and a California(turkey, avocado, and cheese) sandwich. Both were great! We could only finish half of what we ordered because the sandwiches were packed with meat and cheese, so the owner came out and asked if we wanted a bag for our leftovers. Five days later, driving back home from Seattle, we were craving Sandwichery sandwiches! We ordered a Hot Pastrami and a Club(Crisp pastrami, turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomato) sandwich and again could only finish half of what we ordered. We were sitting outside with our dog, and the owner came out to ask if we wanted our sandwiches wrapped to go. He remembered us from our previous visit and thanked us for returning. He even wrapped up a little«to go» treat for our dog. A bonus to our visit to the Sandwichery is that it’s near the Sundial Bridge. So we had a nice walk over the bridge and around the trails to stretch our legs and walk our dog. Are these sandwiches worth a 3 hour(one-way) drive from Sacramento? … I think so!

Great local spot for lunch, quality ingredients and very quick service. Great atmosphere inside and tables to sit outside on a nice day. Support local business! Cash or check only. I would recommend the Californian with sprouts and the cookies are delicious.

This place is just like going to a relatives house to get a nice he made sandwich, but better. The shop was clean, owners were welcoming and the sandwiches were out in less than 5 minutes! I’d highly recommend the Californian. My fiancé and I will definitely be returning customers.

Absolutely the best sandwich shop in Redding… or anywhere else I’ve ever been. I’ve been a customer for more than a decade and have never had anything but excellent service… and excellent sandwiches. Looking for a sandwich? Do yourself a favor and stop here. You will not be disappointed.

If you want a hole in the wall spot, this is it! Drove by many times and had no idea how amazing it is! Great sandwiches and really friendly owners. The owners were working today and brought us our food hot and fresh. The BBQ beef sandwich was excellent!

Has got to be my favorite sandwich place! I have gone here probably once a month for close to 15 years(even when I moved out of state always had to have one when I came home to visit) and almost always get the club San. They have a swirly rye bread that’s so good and the pastrami is crispy more like bacon. Their homemade chili is great for those rare cold days. The owners are wonderful, always friendly and greet you with a smile. Only thing that would make it better is being open longer!

The reviews don’t lie– this is a fantastic little sandwich shop, exactly what any die-hard sandwich fanatic would wish for. The sandwich shop is small and quaint– making their sandwiches with the care it takes to make sure each customer is satisfied– this is no subway assembly line quality, but instead the owners clearly have a refined talent for what they do– making sandwiches their craft and art. The cherry on top is the upbeat, positive, service that the owners help each customer with– genuine smiles just radiating off their faces. Needless to say one cannot go wrong making a stop here.

I frequently travel and I always seek out the Ma & Pa delicatessens. I like this one. A lunch only place with hand made sandwiches. They always seem fresh. They don’t take cards. Cash only.

I had limited money and ended up here,. They had a special going on so I paid less than expected. Got a ham and cheese sandwich with American cheese. It was delicious. The bread was soft and fluffy. It had a big amount of ham and the cheese tasted like cheese not some processed packaged cheese product. As far as sandwiches go this place is great. There were only two people working there and both had a nice charming uniform. A yellow collard shirt with a tie. The atmosphere is kind of vintage themed with lots of collectibles up on the walls. I will be back for their home made cookies!

I just have to say something for places that stand the test of time. Me and my dad ate at the Sandwichery today and I had an amazing club sandwich. Here are two people with a very large menu and only about 5 square feet of work space… absolutely amazing club sandwich and didn’t wait but a couple of minutes! And dad ate every bit of his tuna… I still have half a sandwich left! But make sure you take cash or checks… no plastic accepted!

Stopped here while traveling through town. Got great reviews on Unilocal,so thought we’d try. Did not disappoint! Big sandwiches, tasty soft bread, waaay better choice than Subway, and a great mom n’ pop feel. Bring cash! Will remember this spot for any future Redding stops.

The best sandwiches, salads and soups in Redding. Also homemade cookies that are great. The PLTA sandwich is to die for. In the summer, homegrown ripe tomatoes are used in the sandwiches and salads. Even when they are very busy, the food comes out fast and delicious. We eat there every time we are in town!

The mission– find a tasty sandwich to take to a Whiskeytown Lake picnic. The challenge– two out-of-towners reading lots of dismal Unilocal reviews. Where to go? The solution– Sandwichery!!! Yes, there ARE planes hanging from the ceiling, and lots of cool WWII memorabilia. And there IS a well dressed gentleman who makes adorable jokes. But THESANDWICHES are the thing. The photos here look more bland than they actually are, which is a shame. I had a vegetarian on a soft roll, and it was nearly technicolor green in its freshness– full of soft ripe avocado, sprouts, and cucumbers. Simple, and tasty. Around $ 6, too, which was a good deal considering the size. My partner had a sandwich so crammed full of meat– pastrami, and the like– on a sourdough that he raved about, too. We ended up being two full Happy Campers. Thank you, Sandwichery!

Quick service for good sandwiches at a reasonable price. We were convinced our map was taking us to the wrong place, but were pleasantly surprised when we found it. While I’m not a vegetarian, any sandwich place that puts thought into options for those who are leaves me impressed.

I had the cheese sandwich and I have to say, it was pretty darn good. There are a lot of options for the veggies, cheese and also bread. I was expecting a slice of cheese for my sandwich but it was loaded with about 5 huge slices. Service was impeccable. Fyi. Only cash and checks.

They have amazing sandwiches for a great price. I love the pastrami and corn beef sandwich. The rueben on marble rye is the best in town! Highly recommend if you like big sandwiches with a great meat pack. The service is always wonderful and fast. Also make sure to have cash because they don’t take credit or debit cards
