Had a great first visit last night for a ladies nite out dancing. Super fun, decent pour on spirits, nice friendly crowd. Looking forward to returning and trying some food.

Excellent steak. Fireplace was key for ambience. Sautéed spinach was delicious. Service was very good. Beautiful rustic atmosphere. Would go back.

Great spot! Burger monday got me a free beer with my extremely tasty burger, and the sweet potato fries were fantastic. Will definitely come back next time I’m in the area. Service was good, friendly and fun. Not sure where the negativity on here about the place is coming from, guess you just can’t make everyone happy all the time.

Really poor food but good service. We had the calamari appetizer which was like chewing rubber bands, the bread was stale and my pork chop looked amazing but was way over cooked. I actually had to struggle to chew it. Although the people were very nice, I would not go there again

Came here to checkout happy hour. The place is very cute, great feel! Our server was really nice. With that said, we got there at 3. Happy hour is advertised from 3 to 6 with ½ priced wine, discounted beer and small buffet. 4:30 nothing, no food, no buffet nothing! We had to order from the reg menu. Get it off your website and just offer discounted drinks if you know what’s good for you!

Mediocre food. Not bad, not great. Bar is good though with plenty of good tap beer selections.

Had dinner with my wife. Food was great, service great, wonderful atmosphere. We ate in the bar area and was extremely happy. Good menu lots to choose from. The outside bar is open and done up right.

Very disappointing to say the least! The quality of food is extremely poor! Don’t bother eating here. They have no problem charging top dollar for poor quality tasteless food. Oh… and the brunch buffet has flies flying all over the food and no one seems to care! DISGUSTING!

Had a great family dinner there last night! Have been going for years, as family lives in Redding, and we are never disappointed. Our service was top notch last night! And the fish and chips was delicious! The décor is lovely and updated and we were not disappointed in any way!

Mother’s Day Brunch was an overpriced triumph of quantity over quality. Lots of food in steam tables included soggy Eggs Benedict, heavy Pancakes, tasteless chicken and pasty desserts. Service was slow, pricing was high, and to add insult to injury there was an added 20% service charge for an expensive buffet meal. I won’t be going there again.

Was very happy to see the Roadhouse open again, after a couple of subpar years. However, after 4 months this place still has a ways to go. My wife and I dropped $ 75 in there on drinks and burgers. Burger #1 was ordered as PLAIN with no trimmings. It arrived with lettuce, tomato and onion. Burger #2 was ordered medium cooked with bacon, mayo, onion & lettuce. It arrived well-done with tomato, lettuce, onion but NO bacon or mayo. While the meat had the potential for great taste, these smallish botched burgers missed the mark. This is not McDonalds. This should not happen at these prices. We drove 45 minutes each way and we’d have been better off driving 5 minutes to Outback for steaks, desserts and drinks for the same price.

Very average menu. Definitely a seafood and steak kind of restaurant. We went on a Friday night and it was packed… Not to mention slow. The waitress kept apologizing for the mess that was happening in the kitchen and service was good. Food was average. Well done classic dishes. Nothing creative or special. Would not go back

Great food and ambiance was lovely. Great place to go on a cold winter night. Good beer selection and very attentive staff, my water glass was constantly being topped up. Food was excellent, we had pork chop, grouper, and French onion soup. They have brunch here as well, and we’re excited to check that out.

Apparently this place was closed for a long time and just reopened… the décor is colonial in nature, warm and homey… there was a very light crowd and the service staff was very attentive… I had the French onion soup which was rich and delicious, with plenty of cheese, followed by the baby back ribs… they were good but not something that made me gobble then down. Overall I was a good experience but the menu was a little too…‘typical’…and not adventurous.

I have been here over 20 times and every time it is wonderful. The new owners, staff, and chef are amazing. The steaks are always cooked perfectly, and the bernaise sauce is perfection. I definitely recommend making a reservation as they get packed on the weekends. The upstairs has been converted into an inviting lounge with a fireplace, leather chairs, and a pool table. I have had almost everything on the menu and my favorites are the cuban cigars, the charcuterie plate which tastes like it’s sliced to order and all the steaks. Seriously, I haven’t had a single experience that wasn’t wonderful or a meal that I didn’t love. Although it’s under the same roof as the previous owners, everything is better, and nothing is the same. Great to impress a date or to relax at with close friends.

Today was our first(and likely last) time at Redding Roadhouse. We heard it changed Ownership and saw good reviews — so we went. Also, we had a gift certificate that we got at a local Charity Silent Auction. the place was nice and cozy — but not busy at all. The service was polite, but very slow. Our appetizers(Lobster Bisque, Beef Tips and Shredded pork tortillas were ok, but quite bland). My husband had the 10oz filet, which was good and I had the 3 piece Charcuterie & Fromage with Prosciutto(Dry), Sopressata(weird taste — old?) and the Machego(good) — overall ok’ish experience with the ambiance minus quality and taste of the food(definitely overpriced for what you get) — for a date night(we have a 1 year old — so date night doesn’t happen a lot to begin with…) When it was time for the check, we handed in our gift certificate. The waitress came back with it after 1 min and said the owners would not honor it b/c 4 months ago ownership has changed — what??! We were taken aback and confused: The store name did not change and the new owner is providing the same services that the old owner did. Wouldn’t the new owner assume the liabilities of a business as well as acquiring its assets? No apologies, the manager did not show — weird and passive way of dealing with a situation like this. Will put in a call with BBB to see if there’s any re-course and certainly will NOT recommend this place!

Went for brunch today, and was met with a buffet of very well selected and well-prepared dishes. Nothing was«run of the mill.» And instead of overkill, there was just a lot of good food on offer. The chefs didn’t miss a single beat; the Ceasar dressing was a highlight, as well as the pan-fried chicken cutlets.

The Redding Roadhouse has been returned to it’s former glory. The food is outstanding, the menu well written and the service is excellent. The restaurant and tap room have the warm, cozy vibe of days gone by. If you enjoyed the Redding Roadhouse in the 80’s and 90’s…go back… it is amazing!

Sat by the fire! Waitstaff was excellent! Shrimp and scallop jezebel had an old bay spice with a Thai spicy sauce to die for. The bone in rib eye was cooked perfect! Vegetable of the day was brussels sprouts with pancetta need I say more lol. My boyfriend ordered pork chop with a port wine Demi-glaze which he says is one of the best he has ever had! Worth the trip for a great dinner.
