How does it take 35 minutes to make a lettuce salad when there is NOONE else in the restaurant? T_T

Cosi is an interesting restaurant. The décor of the restaurant suggests that it is more upscale even though you order food like a fast food joint. I kind of like this cause it makes for better ambience and eat-in experience. I do not know a restaurant that is best to compare with Cosi. Panera Bread? Or maybe it is trying to take bistro food accessible to a fast food audience. Restaurant identity crisis aside, Cosi makes decent food at fair prices. The prices are above what you can expect to pay at a fast food restaurant and is just slightly below the cost of a sit-down restaurant. I think sandwiches were like $ 6 – 7. I suggest the tuna melt. I would definitely visit Cosi again when at RTC and try one of their other offerings.

A fast food restaurant in denial. Décor: Starbucks meet’s Tully’s Service: Order at the counter, then have a seat and we’ll bring it to you Drinks: Here’s a cup, go over there Menu: Trying to be «fancy» Price: Dinner for 3 + a kids sandwich + s’mores for 4 = OVER $ 50!!! Food — tasted good — but not worth the price. Wild Alaskan Salmon Salad — Pretty good salad, with 6 large(1 inch x 1 inch) chunks of salmon tossed on the side Ceasar Salad — Couldn’t figure out whether there was actually dressing on it or not Margherita Pizza — piece of flatbread with a can of diced tomatoes thrown on top and too-thick chunks of mozzarella melted on top… Kids Turkey sandwich — flatbread, sliced, chunks of turkey and a bit of lettuce Smore’s come out in this tray with all the ingredients, and an open flame in teh center that you can roast the ‘mallows on. Not bad, more fun to cook than to eat though End result — Ate the salmon salad, brought half the pizza home, 80% of the ceasar was donated to the city dump, and drove through McDonalds on the way home to pick up a happy meal.

This is a pretty decent place for a cheap and fast lunch. I had the tandoori chicken salad and tomato soup. Both were pretty good. I would definitely go back again. I’m glad that Redmond finally has a good sandwich/salad lunch place.

We must have gone on a VERY off night. I was horrified at this place. We’ve been to the Woodinville store, and it was perfectly normal. This place was just weird. We went for dinner, just to grab something quick. There were about 3 other parties in the store. I ordered a salad. I can’t even remember which one it was, because I seriously BLOCKEDITOUT. It took forever to get the food – it’s a salad, people – and when it arrived, it tasted horrible. Like the chicken had been soaking in dressing for days, it was spongy – like airplane food. The romaine lettuce was wilted and soft. I tried to gut it out, but then… A hair. Yes. I have a unique gift – I immediately find weird stuff in my food. Always. I never miss it. It’s a blessing, sort of… but not really, because it’s traumatic. My husband went back to the front counter and spoke to the manager. The manager was also odd. He denied that the chicken tasted bad(???) and was very curious as to why I disliked the salad. The hair? He didn’t really care about that, either! I couldn’t believe the poor food quality or the manager’s attitude. I’ll never give this place a second chance. SCARY.

YUM! This place just opened in Redmond Town Center across from REI. This is my new favorite place at RTC. I’m glad I didn’t wait long to try it. I had a tandoori chicken sandwich with roasted red peppers. Delicious! My wife had a turkey and brie sandwich, which she liked too. They have all sorts of «different» things to try. The salads look good to me. They have a big hearth that they cook their flat bread in. The bread is sort of a cross between naan and pizza dough. They use it for all their sandwiches. They also give you(Tim’s Cascade) chips or some carrot sticks with a sandwich order. The staff was VERY friendly, but it’s obvious they are not a smooth-running machine yet. They still had to use cheat sheets and ask how to use the register. With the obvious level of effort they were putting in, it won’t be long before they figure it out. I also liked the décor. Modern, but not obnoxious. The main entrance is actually a side door. You walk down this long bright hallway lined with the menu. People kind of loiter near the entrance, so getting through is tough. They have nice sidewalk tables too, so that will be fun for next time. They have a free smores coupon in the Redmond Reporter this week(7÷17÷2006) too. I couldn’t cash it in cause I got a to-go order and walking around with hot coals in my pockets would be uncomfortable.
