For our last day in Oregon on vacation our son took us here for dinner. They have been here before and said the food was good. He was right, good food, cold beer and fast service even though they were fairly busy. Got to sit outside as the weather was perfect. Only suggestion is they get tables and chairs outside and not picnic benches. Kind of low and uncomfortable for us seniors.

Been out at Smith Rock hiking, climbing or running? Need fuel and beer after a hot day and the cool kid places are plum filled with other folks? Get your buns in here and get your protein fix. There may be no flashy band. But the service is awesome, the beer is cold, the patio is in the shade and the food is hot. Stop being fussy.

The food tasted pretty good but the service was TERRIBLE! The head waitress started apologizing in a very insincere manner for running behind before she got to our table. Not a good sign. She said they were slammed because of the holiday weekend(Memorial Day) but I’d like to point out that the restaurant was not even half full at 10am on a Saturday. I feel bad for her if she thought that was busy. The food took 40 minutes for 5 people but it was breakfast things like eggs… Not sure how that works unless there is only one cook. Also, the orders were wrong. Ugh. No one checked on us during the 40 minute wait and we watched the 2 other waitresses(younger girls) clean tables and take drink orders. After watching them clean a table, I’m not really interested in eating there again. The tables were full of crumbs and looking haphazard… The head waitress was rude and continued to apologize for the slow service but wasn’t trying to change. The owner needs to find new help asap and train the younger employees properly.

Not very good at all went during happy hour, ordered primarily off the happy hour menu and was charged 39.00 $ for a burger and a order of tater tots and some tempura mushrooms, and mini corn dogs and two beers. Tots where fried way to much burger was dry, and the shrooms were just ok. After questioning the bill they corrected the total to 29.00 $ which I thought was still very high for the amount and quality of the food. Don’t think I’ll be back any time soon

Giving this place another… last chance, since new owners. Over priced and not as represented. Ordered onion rings– $ 6.99. Beer batter. No beer batter, out of a freezer bag and get this– 7 small onion rings. WTH. There are much better ring places in Redmond.

I honestly do not know why I keep putting us through this experience. Well… I do. My toddler plays at the train table and we are actually able to have an adult conversation. And since the service is SOOOO slow and terrible – we actually get a lengthy chat! The food isn’t bad… I actually enjoy it when we can get it under 45 min. I wish they would PLEASE train their waitresses better and get their staff on the same page. I am not usually picky but we have been in 4x in the last 2 months and the service has been terrible each time! PULLITTOGETHER. Another issue I have is I feel it is not the cleanest – the chairs are wobbly, menus are filthy and the tables and chairs are sticky and mis-matched. After ordering, I actually get up and wash my hands because you can see the food/drink smeared on their menus leaving my hands sticky. This could be a great place – the atmosphere is fun but please get some decent staff.

The service was amazing. The waitress was awesome and funny. She did the best with what she had to work with. We were a table of 7 and not a single order was done right(not her fault) burgers were way over cooked all asked for med rare everyone got over well done. Fry’s($ 2.00 extra) were way over cooked while the tater tots were still frozen inside. As were the fried mushrooms. Again awesome waitress but terrible food

Great place to eat burgers & dawgs. We come here often & love it. However, the waitress is not very attentive. She said she had 20 tables to tend to, but there are 13 in the restaurant area. Don’t know if she had any in the bar, but there was also a waiter, so not sure how they had it split up. I thought I posted that the last time we were here, but apparently I didn’t. The above review was about 2 weeks ago. Today is 04/15/2016 and we’re back. Different waitress but same thing. This time there are 4 other tables being served besides ours. The waitress took our drink order & brought it to us. Very good. Then a party of 4 came in. She then took their drink order, brought their drinks, then proceeded to take their food order and left. I got up to ask if anyone was planning on taking our order, when she saw me. I read her lips, which said, «Oh, I forgot about you.» Really? Not thrilled. If it wasn’t because the food is so good here, we wouldn’t be back. I guess we need to learn to get here early if we want to eat earlier.

This is the hidden gem in Redmond. It is a sister to Victorian café and the Hideaway tavern. The food is excellent, service is cool. The atmosphere is new and refreshing. Fun to be here.

We enjoyed a late dinner here last night the service was great and the onion rings were very good. We have the tri-tip sandwich which was pretty good but tasted a little bit like Turkey. We also have the special of the day which was A meatloaf sandwich. It was pretty good as well. We would come here again.

Mediocre at best. Went with a friend and order a couple of burgers had to add on fries for a extra two dollars and yes they are hand cut but was a very small portion Burger was run of the mill and not worth the $ 10.99 and a $ 2 buck add on for said fries. Beer tasted flat and was over priced. So all in all for two people with two 22oz beers and burgers with fries and a app came to $ 50.00 with tip. And then when I got home I found they charged me a extra $ 2.76 for using my Amex they could have told there was a sur charge for my card and I would have used another one. And I won’t get started on the server. So yeah I will not be a repeat customer.

First time to the dawg house. The inside is set up well for a sports bar. We arrived at 4:45, and we ordered drinks. it took quite a long time for the drinks to appear because the bartender was in a meeting with the owner… probably discussing how to serve the customers better. Anyway, This just kinda started things off wrong. I got the pulled pork, and it was actually pretty good, but kinda small. The thing I really didn’t like was that fries are an extra $ 2. Come on, this is America; fries come with burgers. If you need to include it in the price, then do that. But for $ 9, you should get a burger and fries. Service was mediocre. Anyway, it was an ok place but didn’t exceed expectations by any means.

Terrible food, but even worse service. I have no idea how this place has any good reviews. One waiter for 15 tables, plus the frequent to-go customers. I felt super bad for the guy, he was running(literally) between tables but it was unrealistic to expect him to manage everything by himself. However, even if service could be improved, the food was AWFUL. My burger was such a mess of sauce, the bun was soggy and gross. We ordered Mac n cheese for my daughter and I honestly felt like a terrible mom for letting her eat a few bites. It was the most disgusting looking bowl of orange grease. I asked what the side of veggies was for kids and he told me it was Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. What arrived was some celery, tomatoes and two and a half baby carrots. I think people must come here for the many, many large screen TVs playing every sporting event possible. I could see no other reason.

Awful atmosphere(I don’t like sports bars). The old location was much more inviting. The beer selection could be a bit more ample. The food is really nice though which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. The service was pretty good as well. So no complaints there. Just wish it had stuck with the old feel instead of 1,000TV’s blasting sports at you from every direction.

Excellent spot to take the kids for ice cream and fries. Located across the street from the splash pad, that’s what makes it great. I had a scoop of salted caramel ice cream and a basket of fries. The service was excellent.

Delicious delicious delicious burger. Had the bacon cheese burger and it was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Yummy seasoned patty, good bacon and nice Texas toast bun. Came with homemade chips and they were great. They had fry sauce to dip your chips in and that was so good! The only improvement would be not charging to get fries instead of chips. It was $ 3.00 to get either tots or fries instead

Visited on two occasions, both times durning lunch! First visit — Classic Burger w/fries — Tri-Tip Quesadilla w/chips — Kids chicken tenders w/fries My burger was great! Fresh & hot! Same with my husbands quesadilla, he really liked it, especially the grilled veggies inside too. It was HUGE! The tenders were nice & crispy! Second visit — Pesto Provolone Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/onion rings — Grilled Onion Mushroom Swiss Burger w/chips — Kids Chicken Dinos w/fries Chicken sandwich was good. My husbands enjoyed his burger, both were hot & fresh. My son actually mentioned he liked the tenders they had before changing to the Dino shaped chicken. LOL! He’s 4! Both visits we had great friendly service. We will definitely be back for more! Considering it’s called the Dawg House, we probably should try a dog next time! :) PS — they have a drive thru & easy take out counter too!

I try to visit a place at least twice before I submit a review. The Dawg house is no exception and after frequenting this establishment several times I feel compelled to write a review. I hope the establishment can take this as feedback and help other Unilocalers decide where to eat downtown. Here come the bullet points! And go! — cold food(on 2 occasions), hey if the burger can’t melt the cheese and barely feels warm, something isn’t right — wrong item delivered(on 2 occasions), this shouldn’t happen twice in a row — distracted wait staff. I don’t want to be smothered, but it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to flag someone down for water. At this point in time, I just can’t recommend this place. We let our waitress know at the end of our visit. She did comp our drinks. :) So, I hope things improve! But, dine at your own risk.
