While I realize that the store employs adults with intellectual disabilities it can be very frustrating to try to get a question answered. Clothing selection is limited and quality is not always a priority. The rest of the stock is attractively displayed and competitively priced. Book section organization markedly superior to Goodwill.

I went into the thrift store to purchase a wood table. I asked the cashier if I chould purchase the table with out the chairs. He said«you are stupid to think we would do that.» I was not happy with being called stupid and that they wouldn’t even entertain the thought. I took my donation I was going to give them and quickly left the store. I will not return after being treated so poorly.

I really like this store but their prices on clothing have gone up way toooooooooo high. $ 6 for a used pair of pants, doesn’t matter what brand. The item I took up to purchase and tested didn’t work. I did end up buying a few things. I love the idea of what this store stands for but they just are too pricey for the area and economy in this area.

This is a rare find when looking for thrift stores. It’s similar to most thrift stores in that it’s well organized and things are well labelled. It’s a bit different in that things are decidedly cheaper than your commercialized Goodwill, etc. On this day, we were on the hunt for Halloween fare. We perused the clothing and various accessories in order to obtain ideas. Alas, today wasn’t our day for locating Halloween fare, but I did manage to pick up a nearly new Rachael Ray cook book for .37 cents. Apparently, it was on some sort of 25 percent off rack so very reasonable and priced to go. I didn’t realize how inexpensive it was until I reached the cash register. The Opportunity Center thrift shop is a place run by the Opportunity Center of Central Oregon which is a non profit that provides supervised work for adults with disabilities. I’ll be back again as the inventory is always changing and it’s good to check it out and see what is new.
