Update from my review of a few months ago. NOLONGERNOISY. Post doc has installed sound baffles on the ceiling. Although crowded, we were able to carry on a normal conversation no problem. Service was good during our first visit, and even better this time — it came with a smile and good advice.(From the photos, I think«Bobby» was on duty.) Also, not sure if it was there during our first visit, but there is now a separate room with a large-screen TV. Beer remains very good. Today I had the Kilty MacSporran Scottish Ale. Excellent dry ale for those of us who don’t enjoy hoppy brews.

They allow dogs even inside. Food trucks for food or plenty of delivery options. Bartenders super friendly n great beers!

This place is awesome! We stumbled upon this brewery while on the east Sammamish lake trail, and I’m glad we did! The beer is solid, the ambience is great, and the owners/staff couldn’t be more friendly. A warning to non-dog people, you might want to consider going somewhere else as at least half the tables have dogs, however in our experience, all the dogs were well behaved and very mellow. 5 stars for this beer loving, dog friendly couple!!!

I’ve been to Postdoc a couple of times now. On the plus side: the beer quality is solid, the ambiance is cool, and the staff that I’ve encountered have been knowledgeable and friendly. On the downside: with the location being right next to Marymoor Park, they allow dogs, and my experience was not good … multiple dogs barking, panting, putting out dander, and pretty much running the place. I wanted to give this place 4 or 5 stars, but really, unless you plan on bringing your dog in, I don’t recommend Postdoc — I would suggest Black Raven or Bushnell, which is where I’ll likely be frequenting going forward. Given their location they can’t really help it — they have to cater to the Marymoor off-leash crowd — but in my view, this place is likely to go to the dogs.

Came to support the new brewer. Great beer and outstanding employees. A great place to sit with friends and catch up.

Don’t let the location fool you — this may be a glorified industrial park but the Postdoc crew has done a great job converting a garage into a cool and well designed bar. In my first and only visit the beer is good though a few of their brews were not available. The only negative I could throw out is the lack of food available. They have a few packaged goods like chips and popcorn but otherwise guests are apparently encouraged to bring their own food if they desire. Bonus kudos for being family friendly with a few different rootbeers available for the kids. I look forward to future visits and trying more of their beers soon.

Got the Weizen shine and homeroom beers. Great taste! Good atmosphere. And friendly staff.

Iced coffee beer. Or that is what I was thinking when I took the first sip of their coffee porter. Why? Because they serve it cold! Good job PostDoc.

Great stop! The beer here was really good. I had the scottish ale which was excellent. I also tried the Hef which was a great German style beer. I also liked the inside of the taproom. There is also a nice little outdoor area to enjoy the sun. Good stop, would definitely return!

Love this place! Bobby, the guy behind the bar, is very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I hosted a party in the back room and Bobby was extremely helpful and took great care of us. I haven’t had a beer I didn’t like and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. This will definitely be a «staple» for my friends and me.

Best brewery in Washington. Hands down. The everyone of their beers are fantastic. The taproom manager is hilarious and you can’t help but have a good time there.

Love this place! The beer. the location, the ambiance — as good as it gets! The coffee porter is better than any I’ve had… I will be back!

Impressive new brewery for the Redmond area! We try to stay on top of any new ones that come out and we caught this brewery before they even announced their grand opening! Then there are those brew7 that just somehow slip under the radar. I got a a triple IPA here which was amazing! We hit three that night in the area and this place was by far the one I enjoyed the most!

Great atmosphere(similar to Black Raven). Good beer(the triple IPA is exceptional). The service last night was actually poor: the place was half full and our table literally had to beg for more beer. I’ve only been once, but I’ll be back for sure.

Great beers, nice tap room, and the beer tender was great. I would not pay attention to Linda O’s 1 star review. Her average review rating on Unilocal is about 1.3 stars

Graduate to something better Ambience: 4 Food: — Drinks: 5 Value: 4 With all due respect to the various breweries, venerated and upcoming, in the Redmond area, Post-doc tops my list. Its beers are really really good. Its entire line(from the light Belgian Rye to high ABV Imperial Hoppy Red) are tasty, and they have the ‘special’ brews that compare with the best around(their special on our visit was a Triple IPA that was strong and tasty). You can also ‘vote’ for the specialty brew that they make next. Interestingly, it is in the industrial complex as Mac and Jack brewing — right next to Marymoor Park. Thought, unlike Mac and Jack, it is actually a sit-down tasting room. You can actually go sit and enjoy a few drinks. The ambience, with lacquered wood, is very much like Black Raven, not a bad model to emulate. The only drawback is that there’s no food, unlike Bellevue Brewing Co.(though you’re free to bring you own). On the up side, they are both pet friendly and children friendly. So there’s no reason not to go(and perhaps many more reasons to go enjoy).

Located right behind marymoor park, this new brew pub is first class. They currently have 8 beers on tap and a nice selection from blonde ales to porters. My favorite was the coffee porter but each beer was nicely brewed with good flavors. Staff is wonderful, nice tables to sit at and décor is nicely done. There is ample parking around the building. They do not serve food. Check them out, great place to go.

If you like kids running around and sitting at the bar this is a good place for you. IPA and the porter are decent but if you are not friends of the staff forget it. Won’t be back and such a shame so close to our house.

This place is awesome! They are definitely going to do well in the ever expanding craft beer community. We tried all 4 on tap — the blonde, porter, coffee porter and IPA. All were really well made and tasty. The hubs and I especially enjoyed the IPA — it’s pretty top notch. Super friendly people and a nice taproom with a cool atmosphere. Can’t wait to see what cool new brews they come up with in the future. Two big thumbs up!

Always looking forward to exploring a new brewery, especially one so close and convenient. They’re behind Whole Foods on 65th, groceries and beer anyone? Ample parking, the taproom is very cozy and welcoming, nice staff too. Side note, the bar top was super dirty and we had to ask for it to be wiped down. So the beer. I wasn’t a fan of the blonde, it has a strange tang to it. The Postdoc Porter was average, the Cram Session Coffee Porter was good, great coffee aroma and taste but it did wash out at the end. Where Postdoc excels is with their Alpha Factor IPA, it was well balanced, floral and delicious. We will be back to check them out in the future.
