The best! Great fresh food and the sweetest staff, makes this place the highlight of our last few trips to Redmond for soccer. Wish Sip Thai was in Portland! Thank you.

This place is across the street from our office. We have eaten here a gazillion times and we still love it.

My Thai food barometer is the phad thai. I had high hopes for this place, based on the good reviews and awards certificates posted on their door. Plus I was a regular to this specific joint over a decade ago when it was called Joy Wok, a fast food Chinese restaurant owned by a very nice family. So it was very disappointing to get a phad thai here that was surprisingly very bland. Like absolutely no flavor, very watered down. The only pros were that it had a variety of vegetables mixed in and due to the bland taste, I can assume it was very low sodium. Their phad thai was bad but I’d give this restaurant two stars for the effort put forth in remodeling the place, and the idea to make it a place where you can sip wine… lots of wine.

I must’ve passed this restaurant a thousand times before and never noticed it tucked away. This restaurants is small but cozy with a modern, clean décor. The people are extremely nice and attentive and helped make our visit! I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu which was very flavorful and delicious. I ordered a two-star spice level which was pretty mild, in my opinion, so I would likely go to a three next time. The others at the table ordered the eggplants(soo good), the yellow curry(didn’t try it but it looked good), and the basil fried rice(yumm!). I had the mango sticky rice for dessert, which was also very tasty but was a little pricy for what you get. This was, by far, one of the better Thai restaurants I’ve visited on the east side! I would, definitely, visit again and I’m bringing friends!

I had Kui Kai Noodles. Very tasty. Service was excellent and fast. They only have 2 beers on tap but both are favorites of mine. Mannys and Mac n Jacks. They also have a wine selection and tasty desserts. I look forward to eating there again.

Great service. Great food. Best Tom Kha I have had in years. I got the pumpkin curry. I never had pumpkin in my curry before and it was so good! They even brought me extra ground chilli pepper to adjust the spiciness of my curry. I will definitely go here again.

My sons and I stopped by Sip Thai for a quick bite before a movie. The service was fantastic. They kept our water filled, and our food came really fast. We had just a few simple dishes: pad see ew, pineapple curry, and fried rice. Everything was delicious. We will definitely go back.

I have no idea why it took me so long to try Sip Thai Bistro. I guess I had just never noticed them before, as they are in a little strip mall on a street that I don’t often drive down. I really wish that I had discovered this restaurant sooner, as it has the most delicious Thai food that I’ve had in Redmond. The restaurant is itty-bitty, but very clean and bright. The service was excellent; everyone was extremely friendly, smiling, and seemed authentically happy to be there. I had a special on the menu: a fresh, crisp salad made with asparagus, prawns, and chicken. The salad was absolutely amazing; if they bottled that salad dressing, I would buy it by the gallon. My husband had a green curry with avocado, eggplant and some other goodies– I only had a bite of it, but the flavor was warm, spicy and complex. It beat the other green curries that I’ve tried in town handily. I can’t wait to return to try more of the menu!

Loved everything about Sip Thai! The restaurant itself is small, but very bright and enticing! The wait staff was very kind and efficient. Loved the tea menu! It reminded me of the varieties they had at the old Typhoon restaurant that used to be across the back parking lot. The Thai cuisine is definitely one of the best on the Eastside! Had the Ginger Thai from the lunch menu. Delicious, fresh, flavorful. Very reasonably priced. Fast service for lunch. Don’t forget to order the mango and sticky rice for dessert, if you have the time. I can’t say enough good things. They even have outdoor seating. I can’t wait to come back!

Yum! A modern take on a traditional cuisine. You’ll find your Thai favorites here infused with the fresh, trendy atmosphere of this place. I got the yellow curry, still my standby for any new Thai restaurant, and was not disappointed. All of us enjoyed our meals, which came with great service and left us all satisfied.

We always love this place. It is a small, modern and contemporary restaurant and it is warm when you walk in. We went there for lunch and ordered Sip Thai summer rolls, papaya salad, Siracha chicken wings, Tom Yum noodles, egg noodle soup and mango sticky rice with a scoop of coconut ice cream. I like the peanut sauce which comes with the fresh rolls. It was perfect balance of sweetness and savory. Chicken wings were crispy, juicy and tender covered the hot sauce. The rich broth of Tom Yom noodle didn’t make your jaw sore but made you want to drink up the whole bowl. The egg noodle soup was light and flavorful. The combination of the savory sticky rice and sweet coconut ice cream were the happy ending in this meal. Lots of Thai restaurants in Redmond but you can get good quality food and service at reasonable price here. Come try this place if you are in this neighborhood next time!

Service was friendly. However food was just ok. For lunch, my friend and I shared the 1) crab wontons — one of the better ones, not too much cream cheese like most places 2) tofu pad see eiew — this wasn’t the best, I’m not sure how to describe why, but it was just ok 3) crispy chicken — sadly this was something that isn’t even ok. Not a lot of chicken and mostly just batter. It was pretty dry too so kinda just felt like I was eating more crispy than chicken. They have a wide range of teas and alcoholic beverages too, which is a bit unique to a normal Thai place.

I love this place! The food is always great and the service is consistently friendly and quick. It’s clean and the décor has a modern flare. The staff seems to take pride in what they do and it shows. I always get the Chang mai noodles which is always a bowl of savory goodness. Thumbs up!

After seeing the great reviews I was really excited to try this place. It was just ok. We got drunken noodles with fried tofu, pad thai and the pot stickers. The good: Everything tasted fresh and there were a lot of veggies in my drunken noodles. The veggies weren’t too soggy. It didn’t taste too salty like some Thai food can sometimes. The bad: Flavor was really lacking. I’m used to a mixture of spicy/sweet with drunken noodles and this had neither. The tofu wasn’t crispy at all and didn’t taste like it had been marinated. Over all it was just ok. I won’t be getting it again as I’ve had far better Thai food before and this just doesn’t compare. I really don’t understand how people can say this is the best Thai even compared to places in Seattle, but maybe we didn’t get the right dish.

We returned to Sip Thai and had one of the best Thai meals ever. We were so glad to find these fabulous dishes because the owners are so hospitable and nice. The couple are both from the now gone Typhoon in Redmond. The Three Flavor Fish interested us. It is panko coated cod served with their three flavor sauce. Since one of the flavors is sweet, we asked for another sauce. Although not on the menu, you can get the Pinecone Fish, which is hallibut and it comes with a savory sauce made with chile, cilantro, and fish sauce. They were accommodating enough to give us the cod with the pinecone sauce. It was wonderful. We could not eat it without making lots of noises of satisfaction. The Seafood Crispy Pancake is on their Fall Specials Menu. It is a delicious rice flour based pancake batter with mussels, shrimp, and eggs, Its served with sauteed bean sprouts and green onion. Its so good that I hope it goes on their regular menu. Sip Thai Bistro will take a prominent place on our«regular rotation» list.

Oh my god the chef’s special Spicy Noodles… Let me preface by acknowledging Seattle has a LOT of great Thai food. Almost every corner has decent Thai restaurant. Yet Sip Thai sticks out as a clear winner. The Spicy Noodles is one of those dishes I wish I could forget about so I could eat again for the first time. The first time I visited Sip Thai I made the mistake of ordering something different(which would have probably still yielded a 5* Unilocal review). For food this good the restaurant is surprisingly quiet and has great service. I’ll be back.

I came here with a friend for lunch shortly after 1:30 on a Saturday. I really like the modern decoration of this Thai place. The service was prompt and courteous. There was a summer special menu with soft shell crab pad thai and various tea selections. One of the Unilocalers’ picture featured this dish and it looked like significant portion of soft shell crab so I ordered it. Sure enough, the dish came with quite a big of soft shell crab, nicely battered and deep fried. The dish was very enjoyable. We also ordered the pea blue(butterfly pea flower) tea which is blue! When you squeeze lemon into it the tea turns purple! It was really quite interesting to try. I enjoyed the taste of it and how fascinating it looked. I overheard the waitress say that the owners used to work for Microsoft and then they decided to open this restaurant. From the taste of thing, I would say that Microsoft’s lost is Thai food in Redmond’s gain. I would love to come again.

At this restaurant, I noticed two problems and two problems only. The lack of a lunch special menu was a downer, and the slightly higher prices in general deter me from coming here for lunch all the time. But the ambiance was wonderful and the food was top-notch. Service was very fast and everything went smoothly. Good restaurant, just a little expensive. I ordered the chef’s special spicy noodles, and this dish arrived at my table quickly. Sizzling hot and freshly made, these noodles were thick and incredibly tasty. There seemed to be one whole egg buried underneath the mass that gave the whole thing amazing flavor. The chef did an awesome job, but the restaurant could stand to lower prices a little.
