This was an excellent experience. I would suggest getting some of the major food allergies optional for this menu. Many people have intolerance that the servers should know about and or options available right on the menu. I had a great time with the little stove on the table and thought the food was very delicious. There was a wait but it was only about five minutes and then we got in the house.

I went here for lunch with my co-workers, and they had warned me that it could be very busy. Fortunately, there was no wait, and we were promptly seated. Our server was very friendly, and the food didn’t take too long to come out. I didn’t expect cold green/black tea, but it came out in plastic cups with the plastic on top, like you’d get in bubble tea. I got green tea, and it tasted so good! When our soup came out, I was a little overwhelmed with how much food was in front of me. My heat tolerance is very low, so I asked the server to put out the fire pretty quickly into my meal. One of my co-workers asked him to put it out, but later requested more broth and a new flame. The server was super accommodating and fast. I usually don’t order dessert, but I was encouraged to try the macaron ice cream. I ordered strawberry, and it too was very good. The meal overall was fantastic, there’s more than enough good, and there’s so much variety… I love it. I can’t wait to go back!

The taiwanese pot is the best. It’s really big though so it might be best to share with someone. I wish there was an option to adjust the spice level because it is SUPER spicy. Also, ask for no pork blood. It’s disgusting! Overall, the food is good and the service isn’t bad.

The price is a bit much for a hot pot that is deceptively filled halfway with cabbage. I go here sometimes because I live right next door essentially. Darn convenience… Anyways, the broth is often lacking(except curry fish ball soup is good). It often just tastes like salt water. I need buckets of the sauces at the table to make me feel like there is more than just salty water going on. The sauces on table are 2: spicy bean sauce kind of like korean bbq sauce, brown sweet garlic sauce. The hotpots are filled mainly with cabbage. You get a few pieces of meat and other things like tofu, blood rice cake, mushrooms, etc. But it all deoends on the order. But every order is mostly filled with cabbage that tastes like nothing. The good tasty stuff is too little and cabbage too much. I feel like if I come to eat hotpot here, I am borderline scammed. If i want to eat cabbage I will go buy a cabbage for a couple bucks and mix it with chicken stalk and garlic. Lot cheaper to make it yourself than to pay 13+ bucks for cabbage salt water. I recommend going here if you love bland cabbage to be 50% of your meal. Verdict: This place gives«just the tip of the iceberg» a whole new meaning.

When i’m craving for hot pot this is the place to go. I love boiling point so much, especially this location in Redmond. All the other location I’ve been too, I had to wait 30 min to 2 hour wait. But not for Redmond. I always get seated right away even with a group of five people. I like how you get your own little pot of food. There’s already a menu with all the flavor of soup you get so it’s not like the traditional hot pot that everything comes on the side and put it in but still taste amazing. My personal flavor of the hot pot here is the #4(which is the beef soup and one of the most popular pick) and the Thai one. Oh and here’s a tip go during lunch because you get a free drink your choice of their delicious green tea or black tea.(That will save you $ 3 – 4)

Instead of wrapping myself with a blanket on those rainy nights, I stuff myself with hot pot! This is my favorite location despite it’s small seating area. Service here is much more attentive and friendly than the others. So the deal here is that you choose from a preset menu of hot pots. Yes, you can build your own, but it’s not worth it. My favorite ones being the Taiwanese and Thai broths. You’re free to remove some of the bolder ingredients like pork intestine and blood cubes if that makes you queasy. However adding items like ramen noodles will cost extra! This is minor quibble since I rarely add anything aside from noodles. The pot is so chock full of food that you will definitely leave full. Plus the broth and rice refills aren’t helpful in stopping you from overeating. But wait there’s more! They also have great milk teas, I highly suggest the Old Time Milk Tea if you like a stronger tea flavor. So while it’s all the way in Redmond, the better experience here makes up for the drive.

I would give less star if I could! My friend end up being sick after eating at this restaurant. Yes, boiling point has a reputation, their Bellevue location try so hard to keep it, however this location is doing whatever they can to ruin it. Their soup taste just like hot water with spice pack— yes, exactly how you«Cook» instant noodles! So they don’t even need to provide us water to drink! Because their soup taste just like water! Not providing water for your customer to drink can’t be the«smart» trick to let us buy your milk tea or whatever. I mean, really? I have not been to a restaurant that don’t give their customers water. Now I have. Plus, the question on your tv is the dum-est thing I ever seen. It is only showing us how desperate this restaurant is, and nothing else. Good luck eating here, fellows.

This is consistent like every other boiling point in the country. The location is a little small but probably not much smaller than the Bellevue location(probably similar in size actually). Parking is better at this location though. They have pretty good macaron ice cream and my son likes eating them.

The inside is small and has a café feel. We went on Halloween so there were Halloween decorations all around which I enjoyed. The workers were fast and attentive. Food came out fast and tasty! And since we came at lunch time, we got a free black/green tea with the meal! Good deal :) I would definitely come here again — good hot soup for the soul

We went there last week for dinner at Redmond location. The spoons smell like toilet cleaning liquid, that was the very first impression. Though we already asked the restaurant to give us new metal spoons(the previous ones were plastic), we couldn’t get rid of the bad impression of hygiene quality from the very begining. Moreover, the food was below average. I ordered seafood hotpot, most of the seafood were frozen ones(not fresh at all). Only the tofu was fresh. I don’t think I will ever come back

We were here last night and yeah !!! Great great hot pot. We order number 8,9,10 dinner size and share it. The broth is great. The hot pot also has lots of seafood in it :) . The service is actually pretty slow. Will be back !!

5 stars, great food, pretty good proportions, but 4 stars to some because of some difficulty/awkwardness in communication. I’m Chinese, so I could’ve conversed in Mandarin, but I was with a non-chinese/taiwanese person so I spoke in English. Needless to say it felt a little awkward. Don’t get me wrong, this reminds me of home, with kpop and mandopop playing in the background, but I really wish the communication wasn’t a little awkward. My waitress was super nice though, and she was really kind. We got the Thai Flavor soup, which was delicious! The broth was so hearty! With mild-spicy, it actually tasted mild. I actually could’ve gone spicer. A very nice portion of meat and cabbage too. I swear if I ever get sick I’m coming here for my cure haha. Comes with rice and you can have add ones for a few bucks more. They also serve some pretty good(though very sweet) bubble tea and ice cream macaroons! Your bubble tea fix is right here guys!

I love me some good hot pot and this place has got it. Their portions are perfect with ample veggies, meats, and etc. Today, I ordered the Taiwanese Hot Soup that’s supposedly super spicy along with some additional side dishes. My little sister and I went and shared one hot soup together. ITWASSOSPICYBUTSOGOOD. I was almost at tears while eating, thinking, «ITHURTSSOGOOD». I felt eyes on me but I could care less. I thought I was going to regret the aftermath(conjuring fire on the toilet), but I didn’t give a second thought to it because it was SO worth it. The service was great too! The waiter here was very accommodating and sat us down quickly. Parking was easy to find as well, location wise, there isn’t a ton of parking but it’s rarely full during dinner time. Definitely coming back!:)

This was the first time that I’ve had take out hot pot and it was surprisingly pretty good! They even give you little packets of sauces to mix together. The bubble tea here is also solid. They don’t offer an extensive drink menu but do have all the basics and you can customize sugar levels. The stamp card is pretty generous too since you only need 5 drinks before getting $ 3.25 off a drink. Though the $ 3.25 doesn’t fully cover the cost of most drinks, it’s still a nice perk. Very clean and cute place. It does seem rather small so there may be a wait during peak times.

When they opened their Redmond location, a group of us came but the wait was just too long that we had to leave. I had a chance to come here with my coworker. And, we took a 2-hr lunch break. The wait wasn’t bad this time. We just wanted to take our time to finish the food. Food is pretty standard across Boiling Point. They have various options of hot pots and some are bigger than the other. Regardless, I love coming here. Newer location and less crowded.

Boiling point is definitely overhyped. So many of my friends enjoy it though and if I’m REALLY in the mood, I kind of like it too. There’s just something about yummy soup on a cold day in Washington! This new location is also small, but it is decorated nicely inside and kept clean. It wasn’t busy when we went for lunch and there was no wait(this is rare for bp). I like coming here for lunch because the soup comes with rice and a free green tea or black tea drink. It is a little sweet in my opinion, so you can ask to make it less sweet. The only soup I will order here is the kimchi soup, but main meat it comes with is pork. I’m really disappointed on how I can’t substitute it out with anything else or even extra veggies. I mean, it doesn’t even cost them anything extra for more veggies instead of meat, does it? If I want anything else substituted out it has to be charged as an extra side dish. However, there’s a variety of side dish options so you can pretty creative. The soup itself comes with a lot in it already and you can ask them to add more water as you’re eating and turn off the flame whenever. The macaron ice creams were super disappointing because they look so perfect, but they didn’t taste anything like I thought they would. The food overall is pretty decent and will satisfy your hot pot cravings, just try to come when they’re not as busy!

Great new location, and same great food. This location is slightly bigger than the Bellevue location, but it’s not big enough IMO. To maximize seating, the tables are extremely close together. We were a party of 4 sitting next to a two person table, and it felt like we were sitting with the strangers next to us. A little awkward, but you won’t mind once the food comes out. I read many reviews complaining about the wait time. However, My friends and I went there on a Tuesday after the lunch rush(around 1:30), and we got to sit down right when we walked in. I highly recommend going during the down times, if you don’t enjoy waiting. Service was fine. They were quick to take our order and the food can out extremely fast. I love getting the Spicy Beef Hot Pot with a side of ramen noodles. Yummmm!!! The hot pots are not super cheap, but they have so much filling(meat, veggies, noodles, and seafood) that it’s totally worth every penny. I ALWAYS leave with the biggest food baby.

I’m thinking that hot pot restaurants just aren’t my thing. They can be fun, but usually a place will need more than that before I fall in love with it. Boiling Point in Redmond opened not too long ago, but it’s clear that they’re already running quite smoothly. The place is pretty much always busy, which tends to be a good sign for restaurants. However, those other customers don’t necessarily share my taste. Basically, it’s just as the name implies. This is a restaurant where the food in front of you is sizzling in a boiling broth. This ensures that the food doesn’t become cold, but it also doesn’t get scalding hot. It is important to point out at a place like this that you should get something you’re comfortable with; ordering something too spicy for you will ruin your entire meal. They do provide bowls of white rice topped with black sesame seeds. This is a nice touch, but I personally feel that noodles would make more sense because they go along so well with soup. Eating all these vegetables and meat from a boiling soup without noodles feels kind of empty. Rice is just not the same. Overall, the food is enjoyable, but it comes at a higher price. Of course maintaining these hot pots is more work for the employees, but I was never too enthralled with the idea of hot pots to begin with. One thing I want to add, though, is that their tea drinks are delicious, which shouldn’t come as a surprise from a place that specializes in authentic Taiwanese food.
