They combine flavors here for bubble tea which is awesome. Vanilla/Taro is amazing. The people are very friendly as well.

I needed a bubble tea the other day, sometimes you just do ok? I remembered seeing their sign for bubble tea going to the gyro place nearby and thought I’d give it a whirl. Not to mention they were a bakery, nothing wrong with that. I ordered a vanilla milk bubble tea smoothie. Honestly I don’t understand how all this works it seems like I just listed off 3 different things. I then proceeded to order some cookies and a weird pork bun. I don’t know why. I seriously regret the pork bun, it’s just not something I really wanted. The bubble tea consistency was good, but didn’t really taste like vanilla at all, I can’t put my finger on the flavor but not exactly what I was looking for. The cookies were pretty dry and non interesting. I’ll give them another try ordering a different flavor of bubble tea but I’ll pass on the bakery items.

Finally, a good boba tea place! And made via shaking in a cocktail shaker, the way boba tea is supposed to be made! After having boba tea in Taipei and LA, we’ve been searching for a consistently good boba tea place since returning to the NW. Most places disappoint or are only good when a specific employee makes the tea. We’ve about given up until we chanced upon Flavor café. Not as good as boba tea in Taipei or LA, but definitely good, and way better than the other places we’ve tried here. Boba balls were fresh and soft, not hard and stale. I also got a pork sung bun and a coconut bun. Both were delicious. The bread was soft and fluffy and fresh and there was a lot of pork sung and coconut filling. They didn’t skimp on the yummy parts or serve up stale bread(Regence, I’m frowning as I think about the bread I had from you!) Definitely the best Chinese bread(compared to the same type of bread) I’ve had in the US. We will be back for sure!

This is the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been. I would recommend anyone not coming here for real unless you want to waste of your money. I generally do not comment unless the place freak me out. After I ordered 2 carry out items from here, I decided to head out to another restaurant because I can’t even taste another shot. Surprisingly, I saw the owner of the restaurant as well. In conclusion, the owner of this place would not eat his own food!

Now I’m judging this restaurant based on their bubble tea. It’s alright, nothing really special but not bad. I actually found the tapioca to be alright but the drink itself, not that great, it was a bit powdery for some reason.

Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the quality and taste of the bubble tea here. Plus, the location is not great at all. While I’ve only been here during the evening hours, etc., there’s usually no one in the restaurant/café… so basically there’s zero atmosphere or vibe. I think the owner started the café very late in the popularity cycle of bubble tea. About the tea. they used powdered milk and overcooked boba. It’s way too soggy and soft, but it did have ample flavor.

My husband and I walked to this place for dessert after we had dinner at Sushiland. They had a lot of desserts and buns. I read other reviews that their milk tea was good so we decided to try a red bean milk tea(I’m currently obsessed with red bean) and a coconut cream bun. Sadly, I couldn’t really taste the red bean flavor. The boba was also really soft, which I didn’t mind, but if you like your boba to be somewhat firm, you probably won’t like it. Also, the drink wasn’t overly sweet, which I thought it was a good thing. The coconut cream bun was interesting. The bun itself was super soft and the cream just tasted like butter. Is it suppose to taste like that? It totally made me confused, after a few bites, I told my husband to finish the rest. It wasn’t what we expected but I do want to try their cakes. Maybe there’s some hope there?

I am SO thankful and glad I found this place! While I LOVE me some loose leaf, sometimes a girl just needs a Boba tea. That’s where Flavor comes in. M favorite thing about their Boba tea is that it isn’t too sweet, so you can still taste the full flavor of what you order — hence the name of the bakery, I suppose. My favourite flavours are Taro and Rose. And not only did they have tasty Boba, but they have WONDERFUL cake, courtesy of their cousin store, Regent. I usually get the Blueberry mousse, because it is so nice and fluffy, while remaining creamy and smooth. Their mocha cake, peaches & cream, and the new azuki bean and green tea mousse(heart) are all wonderful as well. And lastly, I have only had their food once, which was the fried rice, and it was perfect. Not greasy, but light and fluffy, like fried rice and mousse should be! Honestly, I can’t sing their praises enough. In a world of overly sweetened Boba, this place has been a Godsend. I bring as many people as I can here. I even held an impromptu 18 person event there that was a huge success because of their free Wi-Fi, wonderful service, and sensational food. Great for a date with friends or someone special, I highly recommend it, unless you prefer overly sweetened sugar water with powder flavouring, and then by all means leave the good stuff to me and my friends! :D

Do you remember the Flavor Bakery, Zach? It’s a bit of a hole-in-the-wall in the Redmond area. This establishment features desserts, chinese food, and bubble tea. As of late, bubble tea appears to be on the rise, right Zach? Having a bubble tea shop in Redmond is surely a boon, and I believe one would be hard pressed to say otherwise. Overall, Flavor Bakery is not so great, but bubble tea becomes the saving grace, and inspires repeats in customers. The food itself isn’t better than its competition. The chow fun for example is unremarkable, but fits the bill when you need to stave off hunger. Did not leave enough of an impression to crave more. This is namely where the drop in stars comes from, as this isn’t called«Flavor Bubble Tea & Bakery». We have yet to try the desserts. The bubble tea is of note however, and should be the reason to keep coming back, right Zach? First of all, it comes at a decently low price — something that cannot be said of all places that serve bubble tea. It’s fairly good, and it should be noted that sticking to tapioca pearls seems to be the best bet(when is it not, right Zach?), for the alternative jellies aren’t too swell. Not too big of a deal, bubble tea is all about the«bubbles»! I would recommend the cold green tea mixes with Green Apple or Strawberry, for the go down well on any day. The Bubble Milk Tea is pretty good too, though admittedly I’m not as much a fan. Still, I would recommend it relative to bubble tea providers. And how many of those are there in Redmond, Zach? Come for the bubble tea, stay for the bubble tea. The bubble tea alone is worth 4 stars, 5 with the good price behind it. The rest, not so much. It’s a side quest you won’t regret, right Zach?

A place that sells bubble tea, in Redmond? Oh yeah! :D I have been to this bakery about six times now and have bought one bubble tea each time. They have a lot of choices — cold, hot, milk tea, green tea, blended, powder, fresh fruit. I have only tried one fresh fruit bubble tea(mango) and it was good, but not as great as Bubble Island in Olympia. =P Prices are standard — it’s about $ 3.80 for a bubble milk tea w/tapioca and more if you want the fresh fruit bubble tea. They put in a lot of tapioca, which I like, and the chewy texture is fairly consistent, which I appreciate. They are quick and friendly. :) All in all, they’ll serve you a good cup of bubble tea!

This is a review strictly for the bakery section because I still haven’t ordered food here! I am sooo happy I found the flavor bakery in the area because I had been wondering where to go if I wanted an iced bubble milk tea or Coffee and it was an adventure but this place does not disappoint! I usually get a taro milk tea with lychee the coconut milk tea with tapioca. They are both awesome choices. I would have to say the bakery is cute too and they have alot of choices to pick from I have had the BBQ pork bun and it has been really fresh and flavorful every time. The owner and workers here are also super friendly which is another reason why I come back and gave them a high rating. Finally if you are looking to treat yourself try the chocolate mousse cake it his the spot :)

It’s nice having an asian bakery here in Redmond but this place fails to rise from the curse of suburban mediocrity. I love their BBQ hombows and their angry panda cookies are awesome, but the majority of the baked goods and lunch options are forgettable. Fried fast-food and crazy sweet pastries are a strange combination that have yet to truly satisfy.

Was introduced here by an acquaintance and thought it was good for the lunch menu items. The pastries were also alright as well as the bubble tea. I came here a few times more until one day, I took out a noodle dish for dinner and a few hours later, felt queasy and got food poisoning. I threw up the next day all that I had eaten for dinner and that was that. and then followed by other stuff. I am questioning their sanitary practices. I will never go back there again.

I have Flavor Bakery & Café on my bakery bonanza list. But feeling embarrassed about not actually reviewing the baked goods in my previous visit, I made my next visit all about the baked goods here. In fact, I had it for lunch. There’s nothing wrong with eating cake for lunch, is there? No, I think not. Sadly, my visit to Flavor goes down as the first subpar bakery experience I have had in a while. There is a good selection here of cakes, buns, tarts and cookies. However, I found the goods here to be pricey, even compared to their sister, Regent Bakery in the Overlake Redmond area. And the worst part, not as good. I had a mocha cake slice($ 3.50) and a BBQ pork puff pastry($ 2.60). The puff pastry is usually more identifiable with dim sum. I hardly see this in Chinese bake shops. A taste of the pastry made me see why. It is better served warm. The size of the pastry was larger than the three pieces usually served on a dim sum plate. But the overall flavor was uninspiring. As for the mocha cake, it looked good in the display. But the taste was also a disappointment. The cake was not very moist. And the frosting was not light. A good amount stuck to the fork which is not very promising. Have had better cake at QFC. I will say while the bakery side is not very good, I do think the café side is a bit better and has reasonable prices for Chinese food. There is not a whole lot of good Chinese options, but I thought this was an okay place given the locale and selection.

I love eating here. There are many simple dishes here, and all are made in a very homemade style. Nothing too fancy, in fact, it is more plain than anything special. I think that’s the main draw for me here and I always leave pleasantly full. Oh, there’s even free wi-fi apparently here. I particularly like any of their chow fun and their salty fish and rice, but really, all of the food is great. There was even a period of time where I came in every day eating a different dish and before I knew it, ended up trying most of the dishes offered on the picture menu! There is the obligatory boba drinks, but I wasn’t so impressed with the boba’s consistency here. Though, the almond milk tea with lychee jelly is the way to go and it is awesome! Since this is a bakery, there are a lot of desserts to be had. Unlike other bakeries, these pastries are not made super sweet, but just a good amount to appreciate the flavor and texture of the pastries. Minus one star mainly because it seems the portions have shrunken over the time considering the plates are ~$ 7 each. There is a much higher proportion of rice to entrée/meat in the dishes now.

Okay so I left California to visit Washington and I came across this bakery and thought I should try it. As soon as I stepped in I thought wow! This bakery is very neat and clean! So i looked around and I saw that they have a lot of decorations and the store is very bright. I ordered the lychee boba and it is delicious! I also enjoy the fried tofu. The cakes are pretty good too! This place is one of the best places around! Next time I come to Washington I will definitely visit this place again!

Jay’s intuition is correct; I chatted with the owner of this venue and this is the new sister store to «Regent Bakery and Café» in Bellevue. They also moved out of Factoria Mall to this Redmond location, but he didn’t specify a reason. The food will remind you of Regent Bakery and Café, good, not crazy awesome, but pretty good. I ordered the beef chow fun(flat noodles); not too salty, not too oily, just right. Bubbles in the bubble tea were okay – but the flavor of the milk tea was proper. I’ll have to try more drinks later – sadly, there is a huge collection of «powders» for flavoring – not real fruits:( The owner was courteous and pleasant even though my small group stepped in 10 minutes before close. He even threw a few odwalla energy bars into our bag nice! :) I’ll be back for sure!

The new Flavor Bakery & Café(opened this past week) in Bella Botega is a welcome addition to Redmond. Featuring 100+ menu items, desserts, bubble tea, and knick-knack snacks, it’s something that Redmond has been missing. The set up reminds you of Regent Bakery & Café in the Bel-Red Rd area with all of the cake slices at attention behind the glass counter. The food was decent, the bubble tea was ok, the variety was good – it’s worth a few return visits from me – especially if I don’t want to head on over near Crossroads or Bellevue. I’m not sure if this is related to the restaurant with the same name in the Factoria Square Mall.
