Have loved everything we’ve gotten so far. Nothing fancy but a very friendly staff and you get your food fast.

This place is really good. The biscuits and gravy are yummy. It’s super busy and you might get stuck near strangers but it’s worth it.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. The greatest thing is how I can settle my cravings as early as 6 in the morning. I usually always get pancakes with a side of homefries. Parking is a bit difficult, but if you park in the neighborhood the walk to the restaurant ought to build your anticipation for delicious food and the walk back to your car will help settle all the food you just ate. Their meals are very filling and there is a high chance you will have leftovers.

I had breakfast here everyday while visiting Redondo Beach. Everything for the seafood omelette to the Tony capazola omelet to the famous John Wayne was incredible. If a place like this opened on Long Island, there would be lines waiting to get in. The best breakfast I’ve ever had.

Loved the food here, I’ve only come here a few times and it’s always been for breakfast so I would definitely recommend breakfast. Every Omelet I’ve had here has been great! And they give you a good quantity of food. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it was a little hard to get our serves attention when we needed something but definitely try this place if you’re in the area!

It’s like I died and went to truck stop heaven. I’m from Alabama, so that’s definitely a good thing. This place is the very definition of down home cooking. It soothes my homesickness — and until Joe’s I haven’t been able to find a restaurant that can do it right. I had family visiting from out of town so I took them here for breakfast since its two blocks away. I was instantly daughter-of-the-year :) Food is out of this world. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. It’s family-style dining and most of the patrons are locals and regulars so everyone seems to know each other. It’s such a homey atmosphere, it makes you want to come back for more.

Mmmhmmm eat at Joe’s! My gf and I both agreed the biscuits were not as wonderful today when we went and considering I had the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit I was mildly disappointed. But nobody can do breakfast potatoes like them. Easily the best I have ever had hands down. Great OJ as well. I also tried a bite of my BFs Belgium waffle and it was good!

We’ve going to this place for about six years, obviously not religiously every single weekend but often enough. We were there in early January and decided to go again this morning. I was pleasantly surprised to see new(clean) menus, and the place overall looked cleaner. That was nice as in the past I thought the windows could use some cleaning. The food is solid good, same breakfast staples, nothing too adventures or gourmet, but enjoyable. Ok so now the problem I have at Eat at Joe’s is the fucking attitude of the waitresses… Grrrr Every time I go, I get some shitty attitude. I am so afraid to ask for something special like«no powder sugar on the french toast, bacon extra crispy, eggs over medium» because they give me the evil eye and I don’t get what I asked for. The other day the woman dropped the butter face down. She said she will bring a new one; however, she did not take the one she dropped nor bring a new one. I asked her if she could bring me some butter and she asked if I did not want the one she dropped, WTF? The place wasn’t even busy to justify. Today(same woman) she brought the food and never came back to ask if we needed anything else, fine I don’t need babysitting. Finally she shows up with the bill. Well I wanted some milk(maybe I need to be babysat) so she again gives me the evil eye because she needs to redo the bill. Again place not busy, we showed up before 8 a. m and there only about four tables. The only time we get good service is when Sergio wait us. He is quick, attentive and totally gets it. He knows my husband drinks lots of water, so he brings him a big glass. He knows I like lemon in the water, so he puts a lemon wedge. I get exactly what I order every time and best of all no attitude. All I can think is that those women must be menopause or PMSing. I will continue to go to Joe’s and keep praying that I get Sergio or not order anything«special».

First time here, tried the French dip with regular fries and an unsweetened iced tea. It was quite possibly the worst food I’ve ever had. I love french dip sandwiches, this one was full of tough strips of fat and the bread was old, not fresh at all. The fries were cold and mediocre. The iced tea didn’t taste that great either, tasted like it mightve been instant tea, but not sure. Could only stomache eating ¼ of my sandwich. Was very disappointed that the waitress never asked how the food was. Even when she brought the check, you could see my food was hardly touched, but she didn’t ask. For the quality of food and the price(2 adults and 2 kids totalled over $ 50? Wtf), I would never set foot near this place again.

Yeah, yeah, the breakfast here is good. But it’s not great. Nostalgia and tradition have a funny way of clouding one’s judgement. It’s really no better than your greasy diner breakfast that you can find anywhere. And the lunch and dinner plates are flat out bad. As bland and lifeless as there is.

This is one of the must do. It’s not fancy. The atmosphere is open and very friendly. They have long tables and you’re sitting with others. Now the food. It’s great. The service is quick and friendly

it was a local favorite, right off of Pacific Coast Highway. Great service, great food, large portions, everything was fresh and the best of all they served the best coffee we had in a long time. Not too pretentious yet serious(not the junk you get IHOP). Although, I wasn’t totally happy with my selection of healthy scrambled eggs(whites only) with turkey and kale(i think). But everyone in our party enjoyed their food as i enviously eyed their plates. can’t wait to go back next time I am that area again, know exact what I would order, I think its called a John Wayne.

Typical diner options that were surprisingly tasty but affordable. I really enjoyed the«hangover» omelette, the portions were huge and the home fries that came with it were delicious, tasted like home cooked. *This was my first visit, I tried to stop by a few times and the place had a line at the door, which peaked my curiosity enough to come back :)

I Happen to come across this place every Saturday i drive past after dropping off a friend at work then heading to hike in palos verdes. So remembered passing this place on my drive so i decided to stop by to eat n read my book. I got very lucky to find parking right by the diner. I loved the look inside, long tables made to have people interact with each other. I found a seat at the counter(always wanted to eat at a counter, but never get a chance to be alone). The waitress was nice. The service was fast. The food was awesome, coffee was delicious, i Even ordered food to go for my friend for his lunch, which he said was amazing.(The beef dip). Great experience. I will definitely be coming back.

I remember coming here when I was in high school… and came back here to see if it was as good as I remembered it to be. We grabbed breakfast here. I got veggie omelette with egg whites and turkey sausage. My fiancé got the hangover omelette with pancakes and French toast. Lol yes he’s a growing boy! My omelette was very watery, toast was drenched in butter and disgusting(tasted like a stick of butter on one slice). I don’t really know how the other stuff was but my fiancé wasn’t impressed. The coffee was good though. Anyways, not sure when we would come back…

I could write about how much I love about this place, and I would give it 5 stars. The only thing that bothers me is that it’s so busy space anywhere is too crowded for me personally. I wish they would expand and add some personal space for their guest. Otherwise 5 stars. Great menu

What is it that keeps me coming back to eat at «Eat at Joe’s» in Redondo Beach? The food is what you would expect from a diner. If you are looking for a way to reconcile with that hangover or just want a good olé’ fashioned American breakfast, this is a great choice. But I think the uniqueness of he family style dining is what keeps me coming back for more. Every time I come, I end up getting into a great conversation with the locals over breakfast. A fun place to experience. And they operate like a well oiled machine. Fast, efficient and hearty. Come here. Eat at Joe’s. Be full for the day! Enjoy! GJ

And on the seventh day the commandment came down after all the work was finished of course and the words spoken were«EATATJOE’S» and all those that follow shall need to find a nice comfortable place to lie down and digest all the goodness served at this Mecca of comfort food. I have traveled across the globe and I have indulged in some of the best morning fare served at many a humble diner, but the offerings here rivals any breakfast served in recent memory. The homely interior clearly defines the focus here«it’s all about the food» the only thing remotely close to the level of the food served here is the customer service. If your first experience here earned this restaurant less than four stars you need to return, something was definitely out of sync, whether that could of been the moon or stars or maybe it was the fact that you weren’t really connected to what Joe’s is all about and if by chance they just complete blew it these owners would like to know so it’s not repeated. This is real food served by real people there’s nothing pretentious here yes I agree there’s no white linen(so the prices can be reasonable), the seating is odd and lacks privacy(that the intention relax and meet someone new), there’s no valet parking or reservations(not even for The Duke), you can certainly have your breakfast prepared your way(but why screw it up eat it the way it was intended). If you’re passing thru you owe it to yourself to experience this local joint, if you’re a local you should know you have access to something special and extremely rare. Now on to a few really good recommendations :-) Breakfast Bone-in Pork Chops — Simply incredible, seasoned and grilled perfectly, moist, amazing paired with any style eggs. Hash Browns — Ok how do you make these so delicious it’s potatoes served hot and crispy, flavorful, without a doubt some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The John Wayne — So many try to imitate so may fail, it takes every components piled on this plate to make this breakfast what it is, its the combination and layering of flavors that makes this an incredible selection, call it Gravy, Spanish Sauce, Chili, Salsa or whatever you want, it’s what ties this all together there’s no substitution. Eggs and Warm Tortilla — Both are necessary and neither disappoint. Coffee — I so wanted to buy the cup, okay but the magic was inside, full bodied, full of flavor, don’t know if it’s the blend or the brewing it’s a really great cup of coffee and plentiful. Hopefully I get the opportunity to get back to Joe’s even though I’d love to say it’s because I want to try something different, honestly I’m sure I’ll repeat…

Why 4 stars? Because it was a great diner experience. — — — It might be one of my favorite diner experiences ever, actually! I couldn’t pass on the John Wayne Special which is described on the menu as such: Two eggs over medium, with cheese, on home fries and a tortilla smothered in spanish sauce, and surrounded with sausage. So basically a whole bunch of goodness on one plate, mashed together in a messy fashion. Perfect! I actually am pretty ignorant on all things John Wayne, and didn’t realize all of his ties to Southern California, so this was a pretty educational experience, as well as a tasty one.
