The food is always on point. I order the #1. Spicy chicken teriyaki, couple of gyozas, and some shrimp tempura on top of rice with a double side of mac salad. Yum!

This place is located in a small center with a greek restaurant, a chinese joint, and a Flame Broiler. I took a peek at the 4 star Unilocal rating so decided to give this one a try over the other options. Entered on a Saturday during peak lunch time and it was empty. Maui = Hawaii, which usually means I try chicken katsu or something«Hawaiian.» But went with the salmon teriyaki plate as I’m trying to eat more fish. Waited about 8 minutes to get my food. During that time, some more patrons came in and it got busier. My lunch was given to me in a to-go container even though I said I wanted to eat it there, but once I saw how much food they had given me, I figured it was for convenience! Salmon — three pieces! I was surprised at the quantity since at a place like Waba Grill, you only get one piece. It was lightly grilled, flaky, and seemed fresh. Obviously cooked to order. Had decent flavor. Not the best salmon I’ve had, but not too shabby. Rice — tons! Sticky but not too sticky. Very tasty. Macaroni salad — very good in that it didn’t have too much of that mayo taste/texture. Nice and light = made for a good side dish. I wanted more once I was finished. Salad — very enjoyable. Dressing was light, tangy, and not too sweet. Tasted fresh. They don’t have a soda fountain, just a cooler with cans/bottles. Definitely more of a take out place than dine-in, but they do have about 5 – 6 tables to eat there. Price — salmon plate and a bottle of coke ran me almost $ 15. More than I expected to pay when I walked in(they advertise $ 7 chicken teriyaki on the window) but I did get salmon. I would have been happier paying $ 10 – 12 for the quality, but given the quantity, I can’t complain too much. It was solid enough I’d be willing to try it again.

The salmon teriyaki is so good! They give excellent portion sizes. The only thing I would like to see improved is the flavor of the macaroni salad.

Started off with nice customer service then turned all kinds of wrong! After a 15 minute wait for 1 chicken bowl, I inquire about my to-go order. Long ugly story short, she gave my bowl to another customer, for free as an extra bowl! Then made me wait for a new bowl with no compensation other than, «I’m sorry, that was unprofessional of me.» Duh! Yeah you think?! I wanted to like this place, really I did. Thumbs down, way down. :(

The only thing saving this place from one star is the friendly cashier. Apart from that, the food was boring, teriyaki sauce all over it and a whole mess of rice. I got the short rib combo which came with 1 full short rib cut into 3 pieces, some really funky tasting teriyaki chicken and two wontons plus a normal salad and some macaroni salad that was bland. Was really hoping for a good teriyaki spot but I guess I’ll keep looking. I gotta say, the chicken really did have a funky taste to it.

I have been going to Maui since 2009 after graduating high school I loved it but this last time I energy in this past week it was just no the same, the salad dressing was very watered down and I didn’t get jalapeños in my chicken plate :/super bummed about that and very little chicken which is not likely for them it is usually get well served over al this is the first time I have had a less than perfect experience and hopefully my last, still love that place and my entire family is a huge fan!!!

I’ve been coming to this place for years. It’s one of the better tasting fast, Hawaiian food places that I’ve tried. The service is great, the order is ready in a timely manner and there is a little seating area both inside and out. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki plate. It comes with rice, salad and a scoop of mac salad. Their servings are generous. The chicken this time around was a bit dry, but I’ve been here enough times to know it was an off day.

I’ve known the owner personally since I was a baby & she’s catered to our church for the past 10 years! Connie, the owner, makes sure that she uses the BEST ingredients in her food. This is why the prices are slightly higher than other teriyaki joints in the area. But I can guarantee, if you want quality over quantity food, COMEHERE! Wouldn’t you rather pay a couple more dollars to get amazing food rather than the dry chicken and mediocre sauce from places like Flame Broiler? I would! If you’re extremely hungry, I’d recommend the deluxe sampler. If you’re just hungry, any of the samplers or specials are good. They have an option of either brown or rice white & each plate comes with macaroni salad and a green salad with a yummy homemade dressing Connie makes in the store! You can substitute either salad for the other as well. This is the only place I go to eat teriyaki chicken/beef & that’s saying something. :)

This is my first time here and I order chicken bowl. It’s around $ 5.95. You get to pick brown rice or white rice and it come with vegetables. The price is very reasonable. The food is delicious. Annie Le is a great cashier.

I had this delicious spicy chicken/fried shrimp dish [if I could post the picture I would]. I was very hungry leaving the gym, and I wanted a double chili cheese burger. I wanted something that I could trust that I know would be good but I decided to try out something new. I found this place by Unilocal. The meal was very tasteful. I like the spiciness of the chicken. I even added extra spice on the macaroni and fried shrimp. The service was great. She recommended their most popular cuisine on the menu. After being served, she return to ask if «everything was okay». Great meal and service. Thanks!

To start the place is a hole in the wall the great kind of hole in the wall. This place is family owned and you can feel it and the service demands it. The food is very very fresh and healthy. My favorite is the chicken bowl with rice and the steamed veggies. The flavors are amazing the food is hot and delivered quick.

I used to visit here quit often. Actually about three times a month or more. My whole family loved this place. I used to eat it when it was next to where petco is at. Yes! That’s how long we have been eating here. Since the nineties. This past time was the last. For me and my family. I found a pubic hair in my rice! That’s correct a pubic hair! That is disgusting! That was in my sampler with both sides macaroni. And if you have had that, you would know the meats ate on top and the rice on the bottom. I immediately called the restaurant in disgust. And the lady just said to take it back and she’ll make me a new one. I don’t know about any of you, but when you find a pubic hair in your food you don’t want to eat there. She didn’t even offer my money back. So I threw it out and told my family about the food quality. They were disgusted as well. This was my only experience with them that was bad, but food is not something to mess with.

Maui Teriyaki is for those days that you need to take a quick lunch, and want something that doesn’t weigh on you all day long. I always order the teriyaki chicken plate. Consists of teriyaki chicken over white rice, macaroni salad(a hawaiian staple), green salad with a feast from the East type dressing, and a tiny container of jalapenos and other pickled peppers. Workmate and I recently rediscovered this place, as their prices for a plate is comparable to a Flame Broiler bowl. FB is cheaper when you have a BYGO free deal, but you don’t see those coupons anymore. One advantage FB has over MT is that FB has a soda fountain for refills. I just get the cup of water here to wash down my meal. A lot of people call in their order and pick up. Me and my buddy usually just order at the counter and eat at one of the 4 or 5 tables in this tiny place.

Of a the few times I’ve frequented this teriyaki spot, I tend to order one of the«everyday lunch specials». For a little under $ 10 after tax, it comes with a couple of meat entrees(chicken teri, salmon, white fish cutlet, to name a few), fried wonton, green salad, and macaroni salad. You can substitute brown rice for free, an added bonus for me. Overall it’s a big helping of food which tastes of good quality for its price. Friendly service by the dude in the counter and a small but clean place.

I came for take out for lunch on a weekday. It was pretty empty. The Service — Service was good. They were friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. The guy who took my order walked my order out to me which was nice. I noticed that he was wearing sandals, which was weird. But I guess no biggie. The Food — I got the chicken and beef teriyaki combo. The chicken was good but the beef was pretty tough. I didn’t end up eating most of the beef. They give brown rice as no extra cost which is awesome! The mac salad was average. The Prices — Can’t remember exactly, but I think it was pretty well priced. Maybe $ 8 to $ 10 or so. The service was good but I’ve definitely had better teriyaki. Although place is pretty close to work, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
