Worst place ever! Clothes are cheap material and high priced. I came to exchange a shirt that didn’t fit right and there’s was no way they took it back because it’s a clearance item
What am I supposed to do with something that doesn’t fit. Mayra said «you should have tried it first». Well thanks for the heads up girl…

I have been shopping here for years since it is one of the only plus size stores in my area that are decently priced. The clothes are cute, but alittle too expensive for the quality. Reminds me or a fallas quality the clothing is not true to size so please make sure you try everything on before you buy it since they have the most un realistic «exchange policy» of 14days. (Most clothing stores even small stores have at least 30 days)
I had the most horrible customer service experience this past weekend that will prevent me from shopping at this particular mode plus in the future. If you ever have to exchange anything be careful of their manager Jenny H. she is very rude and has no customer service skills. I had a shirt that i had bought less than a month ago and time got away from me, i went to try and exchange for a different shirt as the one i bought (even though it was a bigger size than i normally wear) didnt fit. the cashier who i first went to was trying to be helpful but couldnt exchange without the managers approval. I waited 15min for the manager who was on some kind of «call» to come over. When she finally got to the counter she straight off said «store policy 14days nothing i can do» i explained to her that the shirt i bought was still on the racks and regular price so i was confused why she couldnt just exchange the shirt, especially since the shirt i wanted was more expensive so i would of had to pay difference anyways. I even asked her if i could get the price the shirt rung up for or even half price something to go toward the shirt i wanted to get. She argued with me that they change out their product every 14days thats why they had that policy (although i have been in there every few months since January and they have the same exact items on the racks). She wouldnt listen to me or work with me at all and then proceeded to just walk away from me. i have never experienced such rudeness from a store manager i understand these stores are privetely owned so she could have helped me but she refused and since there is no corprate office to answer to they can treat their customers horribly. I couldnt believed she just walked away and started doing something else as if i wasnt standing there.
When i asked for her name and the corprate number she told me she couldnt give out the corprate number and finally after asking 5 times she gave me her name «Jenny».

I love coming here a lot!!! The clothes are inexpensive which means you can buy more than if u went to torrid! I highly recommend shopping here. I always end up buying a lot of clothes here because they are trendy and fashion forward. I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and compared to other mode plus they have a great selection

I used to shop here all the time… I love that the plus sizes run small on most things here. For about a year or so, I stopped coming in to shop… had enough clothes, needed to get rid of some of the things I already had first. For my birthday last year I did some shopping. There are some things at Mode plus i bought regularly for the years I shopped there… So for my bday shopping, I went to mode plus knowing for sure a few items I wanted. No need to try them on (I thought), having always purchased these particular items many many times. when I got the clothes home, so much about THE CLOTHES had changed! The quality of the material was very poor. the pants used to be made with cotton, now spandex type material, the bras and tank tops were also different. disappointed, I tried to bring the items back the next day (WITH RECEIPT). The rude girl at the register would not exchange or refund. I was annoyed but figured, «I’m stuck with these clothes now, make the best of it». also, another day, I had been telling a girlfriend of mine how awesome the clothes were there, (obviously before bday shopping) so her and I went to Mode plus so she could check them out. we had been looking around in the store for a good half an hour, in that half an hour, I noticed the little old asian lady (i think the owner??) watching us here and there… odd…has never happened to me there before. my friend saw a shirt she thought her family member would like, she took a picture of the shirt to send in a text to see if she should get it for the family member or not… a few minutes later, a mall security woman came up to us and scolded us for taking a picture of a shirt in the store. apparently it’s against the «rules» at mode plus… I think the old asian lady could have just told us that herself, not called the frikin mall security on us like we were thieves or something… never shopping there again

For some reason, this location is so small! I’m used to visiting the West Covina location, which is massive. Also, the Redondo Beach store only advertises 1X-​3X. The West Covina location goes up to 5X, though the 4s and 5s are rather limited in quantity.
I walked through this whole store and the two employees were in the corner talking and didn’t acknowledge us at all. I would drive up to the West Covina location instead. They have a better selection and better customer service.

I had a bad experience here today. First let me say: Cute stuff but poor quality. I have purchased things here in the past and been satisfied by what I got for the price I paid, but it is cheaply made.
So today I went in because there was a cute skirt in the window. I asked the woman — I think she is the owner– where they were because I couldn’t find what I was looking for (they have A LOT of stuff). She showed me to the rack but the only one they had in the color that I liked was a 3x. I asked if they might have a 1x in the back and she told me that the only other one they had in that color was the one in the window and that it was a 1x. I asked if she would let me try it on and she refused saying that she would not be taking it off the mannequin until tomorrow. I said «but I want to give you money for it right now» and she told me that she didn’t understand why customers always want her to take things off the mannequins, that I have to understand that they have a schedule, and she would not let me try it on. Mind you, ANY other store I have been in with this situation have been more than willing to let me try something from the mannequin if that’s all they have left, they are in the business of SELLING clothes after all. AND she had another skirt in the same color to put onto the mannequin — the 3x that was hanging on the rack in front of me. At this point I handed her the 7 or 8 blouses that I had in my hand and thanked her. She then gave me a snotty «yeah, thank you» in return. I won’t be going back.

Mode Plus is cool, not the greatest quality but it will do.
–Nice size store
–Cute trendy clothes
–A lot of variety in color and design
–Fairly cheap
–You get what you pay for because the quality is not that great
–Clothes tend to fall apart after a few wears
–1x, 2x-​, 3x… but depending on the style some clothes run small
Not my first choice but if I’m looking for an outfit or shirt to wear for one night only, I usually shop here. They have cute accessories too… belts, necklaces, earrings, etc.

I’m sort of on the line with this place because the clothes at this particular store are fabulous! but the people that work there aren’t very friendly, yes they help you if you ask, but i just have a problem walking into a store and not even being greeted or looked at, and its a very small store with almost always 3 ppl working there, saying hello and asking if i needed help shouldn’t be that hard.
