Great customer service. We were at the fair and our order got snagged by another table however we were taken care of when we got to Sacks. They delivered exceptional service. Thank you Sacks.

This place is a MUST, I had the goat salad. The homemade dressing is amazing! I don’t live in the area but made the drive to get that salad for a party I was going to. It was a huge hit and now my friends are making the drive too. I also had a vanilla latte, delicious and my friend love the sandwich she had(I can’t remember which one she had). I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed !

Great sandwiches and snacks at a reasonable price. It seems you can’t find a tasty bite without sitting down and with the lack of time at work I was looking for a solution and Sacks is it. We have also used them for catering and our clients were happy with the food. Give them a try.

I’ve been having their 5 $ half sandwich and pasta deal for years now. While it’s not a gut stuffer, it’s definitely more than enough food for the price and makes for a refreshing lunch. The staff is always helpful, the atmosphere is what you expect from a little café with a beach view. Also, their build-your-own drink menu has the ingredients for the perfect hangover cure.

Um WOW! I love this place! The avocado sandwich is amazing and all their sides are yummy. I think the pasta salad and different soups are my fav. Come from 3 – 5 and enjoy buy one get one free coffee!!! I love coming here with my dog and sitting outside looking at the ocean! The staff is always really friendly and they have a stamp card program… Ill be getting a free sandwich very soon! I am so happy I tried this place! My boyfriend and I are here almost every week enjoying the sun and our avocado sandwiches! We are vegetarians and are always happy to find vegan soups and other healthy fresh items on the menu. They also gave a great assortment of sweets, I love the chocolate chip cookies! and they even have gluten free options! I appreciate this place so much, the owner puts a lot of care into the business and it shows. Yum yum yum I love sacks.

Today was my second time here and I’m still impressed. The food and the customer service is excellent. It’s located on the corner and a couple of steps from the beach. So far my favorite spot. Thanks for your hospitality.

As a European it’s sometimes hard to find nice and individual places in the US. I really love to go here after my morning run at the beach to get a latte. It’s only a few steps from the beach and they have a nice outside seating area plus wifi if you wanna get some work done. The staff is very friendly and they offer a great selection of salads, wraps and sandwiches. Just today I recognized they have a happy hour from 4−5pm, you’ll get 50% off! What a nice surprise.

Delightful find. I have probably passed by Sacks so many times. But we were looking for a nice relaxing stroller friendly brunch spot. And I must say Sacks on the Beach checked all the boxes. We ordered a mocha which was fantastic and a hot chocolate which unfortunately was not so great — it tasted like a Swiss Miss packet with hot water not even milk. I ordered the Breakfast in France croissant sandwich with egg, brie, bacon and a raspberry sauce it was amazing! My mother in law ordered the greek croissant the El Greco sandwich which had kalamata olives and feta it was amazing as well! My husband’s omelet Breakfast at Tiffany’s was tasty but definitely not as good as our two orders. It could have benefited from a richer cheese or some acid, it was just missing a little something. My mother in law and I both opted to upgrade our side of fruit to fruit, granola and plain yogurt it was a very refreshing side compliment to our otherwise heavy sandwiches. I can’t wait to return to try more items or just have the Breakfast in France again. Yum yum.

I’ve been going to Sacks on the Beach for a couple of years now. I this place. Everything is great! My favorite is their tuna wrap. The customer service is awesome I’ve gotten to know the owner just by coming in. All the kitchen staff are amazing. They all know me and I love that sort of family feel. Coming to Sacks on the Beach you’re not just getting good food and great lunch specials. You’re getting a family who recognizes each person and remembers their customers. I love this place!

Great customer service and a nice breakfast menu! My girlfriend received the incorrect order after a miscommunication at the register while ordering. When the food was delivered my gf mentioned to me that she wasn’t sure that the food she had received was what she ordered. One of the employees overhead and stopped to inquire. She simply clarified the order, apologized, and made what my gf had wanted. Thanks Sacks!

Popped in with my niece this afternoon and we were both pleased. She had the BLAT and I had a avocado sandwich tweaked without hesitation from staff with plenty of suggestions to create a vegan nom nom. The gluten free /vegan split pea soup was excellent.

So, SO yummy! Excellent scrambles with enough variety on the menu that you can always find something that you’re craving. Doing Paleo? Chris has got you covered. Need a gluten free wrap on your breakfast burrito? He’s got it! Want some extra protein in your smoothie? Yep, that too, or spinach if you like. Coffee drinks are very yummy as well. Basically, if Sacks on the Beach is open, there’s something on the menu that will satisfy you. Café space is cozy and sunny, and the patio has a lovely view of the water. Chris’s staff are attentive and cheerful, and definitely want to make sure you’re happy with your order. I’ve been here for breakfast and lunch and always leave smiling and full!

This place is a true gem on the beach. I’ve been a customer for years and the food is always extremely fresh and Chris and his staff are the epitome of excellent customer service. As a fellow business owner, I could immediately tell upon meeting Chris that he deeply cares about his business, staff and his customers. It’s rare to see that quality nowadays. It’s cozy on the inside and perfect when outside. I noticed some of the reviews mention it takes some time for the food. At peak times it can take 10 minutes or so but this is because everything cooked immediately after your order. It’s always delivered fresh and hot to your table. Well worth the wait. I highly recommend the Swiss, Breakfast in France(bomb raspberry sauce), or any of the scrambles/omelets. My only suggestion is if you want to place an order for delivery, order via the phone. Sometimes the web site can cause issues sending the order to their store. Other than that, A+ all around.

This was a gem of a find. It’s a cozy spot by the beach to grab a coffee, relax, and plug in to do some work or surf the web. There’s free wifi and customer service has been fantastic each time I’ve come in. I feel so welcomed and at home :) unlike other cafes that can feel way more pretentious. The food/drinks are affordable, fresh and tasty. Water and fruit was also laid out for people to grab. Yay! I like this place more each time I visit.

I love having Sacks on the Beach. The staff is extremely friendly, which is always appreciated, at least by this customer. I work across the street so I order delivery from here quite frequently, once I found out that they delivered. It’s always Chicken of the Sea wrap(it’s tuna, just in case you missed that one), with fresh fruit, and a small coffee. The portions are fair and I’m always satisfied with the taste and quality. I always like the lunch specials and hope they continue that.

A bit overrated and overpriced. I have ups and downs about this place. They offer pastries, fresh juice and smoothies as well as café food. We came here for brunch, approached the counter and was staring at the menu when we heard«Are you guys ready to order?» We’re glad she acknowledged us by asking but my friend exclaimed that it was our first time while leaning in but either she didn’t hear us or she just zoned out. The cashier wasn’t exactly a friendly and warm. I got the Breakfast at Tiffany’s– sundried tomatoes, egg whites, avocados, and turkey deli meat. It was good! But not $ 13 good for a small portion messy scrambled eggs and a few pieces of fruit The smoothies were filling and $ 5 each. It was a cute place to sit down but not a great brunch place atmosphere at all. It would be much better to have your food to go and enjoy the beach with your meal.

We spent a bit much for a casual breakfast but left full and with half of my wrap to save for later. I want to say I spent about $ 16 for a juice and turkey wrap. The zoom zoom coco ago go(something like that) juice had carrots, beets, apples, cucumber and ginger(if I remember right). Pretty good. Turkey club was great, Gyro sandwich was better. In my opinion. The tzatziki sauce and pita bread was really good. The employees were welcoming and checked on us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our food and didn’t need anything.

Overall this place is reasonably priced and close to the beach. It can get fairly crowded at times, and the crowd dies down as it gets later in the day. I see a lot of people bringing there dogs here(including me) to just relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done(FREEWIFI). There are two waterbowls for the dogs :) Honestly, this place is pretty cheap for being so close to the beach! DEALS: — $ 5 half sandwich and saiad or soup! — BOGO Coffee Drinks 3pm-7pm(closing) SEATING: — Outdoor seating, about 10 tables. — Indoor seating, about 6 tables. LOCATION: On the corner of Catalina and Avenue I. It’s literally one block away from the beach. Depending on where you’re sitting you can see the ocean :) The only downside is that the food takes a litttttleee longer than usual. I’ve come here twice for a $ 5 deal and today for a buffalo chicken wrap and both times took about 15 – 20 minutes for my food and it wasn’t that busy. So just sit tight.

Had lunch with my baby today, simply phenomenal! We had a tuna sandwich on freshly baked bread out of the proof box. It was light duty and yet had the crunch it needs. The salad was might and flavorful with an Italian balsamic vinaigrette which was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, very clean and quaint atmosphere. The owner even came over to check on us. It’s a little pricey but well worth it. Finally we tried a health smoothie a green fix with kale apple mint and lime. Very healthy fresh and delicious and a natural detox. I highly recommend you try this place for lunch.

Solid three stars for this fast order and quick serve café. In one visit, I can tell the owner/server Chris has great quality control over his establishment. I liked the BLAT, which you can order on a baguette or wheat if you don’t want the croissant; I wish the bacon was thicker, but on the other hand, the symmetry of the sandwich is perfect. My better half had an egg omelette and jam on croissant that was like a good morning smucker’s kiss. But my morning was not complete until the«Café Sacks,» the best caramel and vanilla latte I’ve had an awhile — I could taste the sweetness of the caramel, which is something that I cannot say of Starbucks. Without having tried it, I bet their«Café White Mocha» is just as good. Pastry selection is befitting without it being quite mind-blowing. But no yuks here, only yum-yums. The owner seems like a very attentive, concerning individual who wants the best time for all customers. As a neighborhood café, I think«Sacks» should be your morning calling. My wife and I, however, live 15 miles away. But since the finest appeal is that the boardwalk is a block away, I think I can honestly tell you we will revisit«Sacks» and the beach a block away once every few months for now on. Twas a good morning for us, I will fondly enough remember them. #Catalina-ave-meets-Avenue-I

Location location location! Even if this place sucked(which it doesn’t) it would still be awesome. The ambiance is quaint and casual. The workers are friendly and very helpful. You can sit indoor or outside. Escape the heat or catch some sun rays. The drinks are great and they have a creative healthy tasty menu. There is something for everyone whether you want a coffee, shake or a meal. I’m glad we found this place and we will return when in the area again?

I love it here! It’s comforting, it’s simple and the girls that work here are so sweet! The food is very simple and standard for a café this style. There is definitely a beach vibe, but it’s a step above what you would find on any boardwalk. Really, you can make many of these things at home, but they do it all right, in decent portions, and it’s easy. Their salads are great. I had one of their toasty chicken sandwiches the last time I went and it was pretty awesome. They serve their sandwiches with optional sides of fruit, pasta salad, etc. They also have great fresh pressed juices and allow you to mix and match from what they have. I sat here for four hours last Sunday while doing some work on my laptop. It’s just a chill beach café/coffee shop and I definitely recommend it.

After my second visit here I’m wondering why in the entirety of the Unilocal universe this place scored 4.5 stars. The first time I took advantage of their happy hour and tried a panini, which was tasty enough(the side of pasta was disgusting). I noticed how sloppy the place looked inside but put that up to their being one of those stop-and-go cafes by the beach. The staff was nice and accomodating and I left on a good note. My second time here this past weekend the realization dawned on me like a pile of bricks: the place is filthy. There are sanitary concerns everywhere, from dirty floors to stained windows to greasy tables to foggy plateware. The food has much to be desired. A sandwich is probably the safest bet; I ordered one of the scrambles and it was awful. I could tell the ingredients were old and the preparation unclean. I paid a whopping $ 15 for that scramble and a coffee? That is so wrong. I’ve seen better maintained establishments with a B than this joint, and they were given an A. The entire place needs an overhaul. Everyone needs to stop drinking the Kool-Aid. What was once a charming beachside pit-stop has now turned into a poorly ventilated room, thanks to the passing of time and little to no maintenance. The extra star is for decent coffee but really, wake up and get it together Sacks.
