Does not have much variety in food. but staff is always helpful and an okay beer selection. Good for quick place to get a beer before or after the beach,

It’s the end of an era. They no longer exist. Sad to see the place go as it reminded me of my childhood and was there for decades.

So sad say… and I’m usually reluctant to give bad reviews to small businesses. They do have some interesting things in their shop. But their customer service is greatly lacking. The lady made a big examination of my cc for a $ 6.50 purchase. I am glad they are going out of business if they treat their customers that way.

Lots & lots of cool shells. The shop hangs over the water and it was fun looking out the windows at the huge waves rolling in. The older lady working as a cashier was very UNfriendly. Did not appear to be happy in her job. Minimum purchase of $ 5 to use a credit card, or they charge an extra fee.

What a wonderful store this is! I love polished stones and all kinds of seashells, so this has been my fav store on the pier. Very reasonable price and cool location make this store a successful business. My son likes to look at the samurai sword and the other kind of swords in there, i know he really wants one. But it’s bit of too much for him to handle that at his age, so far he has been given wooden swords. I really don’t want him to touch any of that, but a boy is a boy. So maybe, just maybe, I’ll get him a real one when he’s in high school.

Filled with treasures you didn’t know existed but now can’t live without! Proof: I purchased a $ 20 peso bill issued by the Japanese Government as the occupying force over… Mexico, I guess. Fake?! Certainly not. I paid $ 2.99. Not a fan of exotic curreny? Fancy a night light made out of shark’s teeth? I didn’t either, until I saw it. I surrender, Shark Attack. And I can’t even complain too much about the prices.

This store has the most random merchandise. You can always get the typical shells, Redondo beach picture frames and shot glasses, nautical décor, shark teeth necklaces, etc. BUT you can also purchase katana swords, whole dead sharks in glass, fossils, and Mexican jumping beans! There is a random gift for anyone in this store. Also, during the day, you can pay $ 1.50 for a store employee to take you in the back to look at a replica shark and tell you facts about the real animals.

As a lover of roadside attractions, I highly recommend checking out Georgette, the taxidermied adolescent great white shark on display in the backroom of a pirate ship-shaped shop for the *steep* price of $ 1.50/adult, $ 1/child. The boyfriend and I were just walking around the pier today and noticed your typical tourist sundry shop specializing in sea shells, plastic jewelry, and other odds and ends. Then we saw the sign reading, «Home of the Great White Shark Exhibit,» and just HAD to see that. Now, whenever you see a sign for anything where they want you to pay them a buck and they’ll show you something out back, GOFORIT. I’m a sucker for those things at county fairs and honestly, it’s well-worth the dollar(or in the case of Shark Attack, the $ 1.50 to see). Went up to the counter, asked the girl about the exhibit, paid our $ 3, and were ushered behind the little gate and heavy brown curtain. I’ll admit it. I got scared at first. You’re greeted by Georgette’s gaping mouth, rows of sharp teeth in full view, ominously lit in the darkened room. The girl proceeded to tell us the story of Georgette — drowned after being accidentally caught in a net when she wasn’t able to swim — as well as facts about great white sharks, in general. She then left us alone, saying to take our time and that photos(including flash) were allowed. The shark is about 15 or 16 feet long. Even her tail’s fins are taller than I am(5’6″) — perhaps 6 feet long. And she’s not even fully grown. So yeah, if you’re willing to chuck a buck to check out a giant cow or a two-headed turtle at the county fair, come visit the great white shark at the pier.

As long as I can remember, this place has been around. I use to and still do act like a kid in a candy shop here. It’s a store filled with everything from sand dollars to seashells and all the other things your mom may call«junk». Wonderful staff who are always friendly, helpful, and help you wrap up your fragile items while at the cashier. Mind you, this is the only souvenir shop around there that offers items that aren’t typical and tacky. What a relief.

Cute gift shop located on the Redondo Pier. I’ve come here to buy a number of things and I’ve noticed this shop carries some of the same items at competitive shops on the same pier, but Shark Attack has them at a cheaper price… I like. My most recent purchase was a glittery Redondo Beach shell Christmas Ornament for $ 2.99. Not too shaby! I have not had the pleasure of going on the tour to view Georgette… but I want to! :)

Shark Attack on the pier has a great selection of souvenirs and a shark exhibit that my nephews love to visit every time they visit the pier with me. They are fascinated by Georgette, the 16.5′ shark on display in a tank and the tour only costs about $ 1. you can’t beat it!

One of many souvenir shops you can find on the Redondo Beach Municipal Pier. This is one of those kitschy sort of souvenir shops but they have a unique attraction others at the pier don’t: Georgette :) Georgette is a 16 foot mounted Great White Shark that was accidentally caught in a fishing net off Washington state and drowned. Her body was preserved and brought to this shop. A shop attendant will take you to her«showroom» in the back and provide almost as much info on Georgette as an aquarium could. From experience — bringing a kid here as part of a day out is totally affordable and will score you big points. I admit even after coming here countless times in my life I still get a kick out of seeing this shark too. At the time of this review a ticket is only $ 1 per child under 10 and $ 1.50 per adult. The shop also has your standard post cards, sea shells, shark teeth and kitschy items. If you bring kids by for the shark they’re probly also want you to buy them some sea shells, which are also very afforable. The people in the shop are nice, and it’s in a great location. Last shop on the right fork of the pier just past Old Tony’s.
