Since I can’t give any lower, 1 star is it. Asked for a cup of minestrone soup, they brought out a bowl and then took it back. The rum and coke I got was VERY watered down. I ordered a «Mixed Greens Salad» which was supposed to consist of mixed greens, goat cheese, candied walnuts, and balsamic vinegar. I got a very bland Caesar salad. The minestrone soup tasted out of the can. The burger my husband got was supposed to be medium rare but I’m sure well done sounds(and tastes) exactly the same.(***please note the dripping sarcasm***). And for this«delicious dinner we are paying $ 40(and 2 free drink vouchers. One was used on seltzer water). Not worth it.

I went here for the 4th of July with my family. Hostess and waitress were both very nice. When I first looked at the menu, I was in shock at how much everything cost. I ordered the spaghetti and marinara sauce and I have to say it was below my expectations for such a pricey restaurant. The food took one hour to make and they were apparently backed up on room service from the hotel it is a part of. We stayed outside to watch the fireworks across the street on the pier.

I stopped in here for a drink on a Friday night. The service was friendly, however the drink was overpriced, the food(just a calamari appetizer) left much to be desired, and the ambiance was definitely lacking. It feels pretty old and outdated and could definitely use some fresh life to revamp things a little!

We had dinner last night — the shrimp and scallops, and an angus burger. DELICIOUS! Fresh, tasty — Perfect. Waitress was very attending — professional. Greeter very friendly. Had drinks at the bar — bartender was nice, but $ 17 for a shot of whiskey?! Fiesta punch was good! Could faintly hear music in background — it was a Friday night!!! asked to turn it up, but no one did so I put pandora on my phone and turned it up. No one else there at the time! Place needs to be brightened up — maybe some music to bring in customers. Draw attention to yourself! Food is good — service good — shout it out there. A little pricey — but typical for hotel food. Maybe have a happy hour special. You’ve got a good thing — make some noise!

Wonderful food… had the spring salad and the best clam chowder I have ever tasted My hubby had the angus burger and said it was one of the best burgers he’s had. Excellant service Great atmosphere They have a really neat thing there where the kitchen is accessible to view through all class and it is a very clean organized kitchen

Just say no. Had unexpected guests on Valentine’s day, so as you can guess not a reservation to be had in Redondo. This place was available, for good reason. Ambience, ZERO Service ONE Food TWO Menu ONE Price ZERO What a waste of a good space. The bar was busy and seemed okay, but the restaurant was just a waste of time and money. This place could do well if the fixed the menu, made it look less like a stark cold place and offered food the bargoers would want and the beach visitors would like. Hate to give it one star, but that’s what they earned. We were here for dinner. Also the menu was priced so wrong. They need an executive chef that knows what to do and some marketing and could make this a great place. As is, RUN

WOW. Splash Bistro exceeded all(very high) expectations. We had our farewell brunch here after our 230-person wedding and everyone was so happy. The make-your-own omelet and crêpe stations were such a hit and perfect. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff was on-top-of-it. The customer service was beyond words and guests were constantly complimenting us on our choice of brunch place. Natalie and the other management staff made the day too easy — they even set up a beautiful mimosa-station for us. They went far out of their way to make the morning personal and memorable.

Overpriced. The breakfast was $ 25 for basic continental breakfast. It was a simple spread of cold cereals, fruits, and pastries with three containers of hot food(potatoes, eggs, bacon).

Decent place for a business lunch. Several salads to choose from and a hummus plate that even I could eat. Service was fine. Not much more to say.

I always attempt to give fair and accurate reviews, so it grieves me to say that Splash has earned the title of the worst lunch our group, LADIESWHOLUNCHSOUTHBAY, has ever experienced. Fourteen of us dined at 11:45 am on Tuesday, July 10th. We were the only patrons. The service was very slow, and when the food came, everyone’s soup was lukewarm. We were so hungry we HAD to eat there and then, so only one person sent hers back. I can only speak for myself, but my simple order of soup and half a sandwich(total price with tax $ 16) was awful. Not only was the soup cold, the the sandwich bread was dry and tasteless. I had to take it off and put it to one side. The filling was adequate but nothing special. I recently ordered a $ 10 cheese and pesto sandwich with sweet potatoes fries at Zinc at the Shade in Manhattan Beach — and it was sensational. To add insult to injury, when our bill came, we were charged for FIVEBEERS! All of us had only drunk water, and one lady had a beer. I had to search the restaurant for the waiter to ask him to give us the correct bill. Our satisfaction rate has been 90% thus far, but Splash really disappointed. Overpriced, poor service and disappointing food.

Came in for breakfast, price was very high, $ 21 with eggs and $ 17 for continental. The fruits plates were empty and were replenished as we were leaving. Baked goods selection was dismal. Service was good, and that is the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

We stayed at the attached Crown Plaza Hotel for the Lobster Fest and were looking for an easy access breakfast spot. This definitely served the purpose. The pricing wasn’t great but the food was pretty nice. Your breakfast options were an over-priced«Continental Breakfast» OR «All-U-Can-Eat Breakfast Buffet». There was about a $ 2.00 or $ 3.00 difference so it was a no-brainer. The had build-your-own omelette station and Belgian waffle station. All in all, pretty good.

Okay I want to give this place another star because the food was really good. I just wish it was a tad bit cheaper, and more items on the menu. I’ve been here twice and both times ordered off their coke-a-cola menu. Both times — phenomenal. First time I had a ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta with a creamy white sauce and coke-a-cola glaze. I don’t know what was in that sauce but it was the star of the dish. It wasn’t heavy like a heavy cream based sauce with hints of lemon. That was great. The second time I had the Capello di Papa. Top sirloin, medium rare of course, with a coke-a-cola reduction glaze which was just a tad sweet. The glaze was a good pairing to the sirloin because it wasn’t overwhelming, and you can still taste the natural juices of the sirloin. The steak fries that came with it were so good. They were baked(I know, not really fries then) then cut up into quarter strips, then smothered with a lot of olive oil and herbs… so good. I like it when fries are thick, because then you know it’s a real potato and not faux fries like the fast food places serves you up.

Stayed 3 nights at the Crown Plaza and we went for dinner at Splash. It was rather empty and we had a seat along the window. Stupid bougainvillea blocks the view of the harbor. Anyway, service was right on and they are on top of you. Nothing to complain about there. Food, well, my goodness, find a friggin’ salt shaker would ya! EVERYTHINGWASBLAND! I had a rib-eye steak med-rare with Gorgonzola caramelized onions no potato sub veggies. Steak looked aweeesome… then I cut into it and tasted like cardboard. That chef must have taken that steak out of the package and right on to the grill with no seasoning at all. What a disappointment. Wife had the almond chicken and it too was bland and sans any real seasoning. Would have liked to order an appetizer but the selection was really limited and filled with salads. The only real plus was the black olive purée that was served with the bread. Not a good value for droppin’ a hundey for dinner.

Very disappointed with the prices and the value you get for what you pay. We went there with a big party after staying at the Crowne Plaza. Although, we got free coupons for a few of us, the rest had to pay. I felt 16.95 for a continental breakfast was pretty steep considering the fact that some hotels give the same items for free. They offered toast, coffee, cold cereal, fruit and pastries. Can’t help but feel that $ 17 was too much. Probably intended for people with a higher economic status.

Ok, so I stayed(am staying) at the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach and usually the first thing I do after settling in is to try the hotel restaraunt to see if I should eat there later in the stay, for convenience sake. I went in for dinner after I got to the hotel and there was only one couple in the restaraunt(I thought it was a bad sign), but decided to try it anyway. I ordered the grilled Halibut with vegetables and brown rice. The service was prompt and friendly, not overbearing or limited. Every aspect of the meal was perfect. The Halibut was grilled and seasoned to perfection, the vegetables were crisp and fresh out of the skillet. The rice wasn’t too wet or dry — perfect. Even the bread was delicious — crunchy crust on the outside and soft on the inside. There is only one problem — the price. But, what do you expect out of a hotel restaraunt? It won’t be cheap — but this is by far the single best hotel restaraunt food quality I’ve ever had. So much so that I went back for breakfast. The made-to-order omellette was awesome and the coffee was excellent too. Again, a high-priced breakfast for around $ 20 plus tax and tip, but my per diem allows for it and it’s great quality so what the heck — why not?

3.5 stars. Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. Located adjacent to Crowne Plaza at the Redondo Beach marina, it’s convenient walking distance if you are staying at the Portofino or the Best Western Sunrise. Actually the latter is spitting-distance. Couldn’t tell you the prices as I was a guest, but I do know that they serve up made-to-order omelettes and Belgian waffles. You actually walk into the kitchen and watch the chefs work on your creation! I really liked that aspect of it. Talk about personalized brunch! The ambiance is okay, it didn’t seem fancy or Denny-esque, just somewhere inbetween. If you have a larger group, they can set aside a private dining area which happens to be next to the kitchen! So you can pop over for as many omelettes or waffles as you want without looking like a pig. For the self-serve buffet part, I got addicted to their cheese blintzes. The consensus at my table was you either love ‘em or hate ‘em. I fall into the«love» camp. In fact, I used to frequent my local IHOP just to order these. And then IHOP pissed me off for some reason that I forgot, but I don’t go there anymore.

When searching for locations for our rehearsal dinner, Splash was our #1 choice due to the location. We were getting married at the Chart House down the street and many of our guests would be staying at Crowne Plaza or Best Western. I inquired over a year in advance for information, but was given information for banquet service(different from a large party), passed around from person to person, and found that management changed three times in less than a year period(maybe even a shorter period of time, I can’t fully recall at this point). When my husband(fiancé at the time), in-laws, and I went in to meet the manager, he didn’t have a business card or email address to provide(he was the 3rd one at that point) and gave me his personal email and said I could write to him in a few days. I did just that… with no response. After three emails that weren’t responded to, I finally gave up and they did not get our business for our rehearsal dinner. We did go there the afternoon of our wedding(we had a day wedding) and had a few drinks… Ironically(maybe?), it was completely dead and we were the only guests there. I can only imagine why… The next morning, my parents and a couple of aunts had breakfast there, spent $ 25/person for a «buffet» that was highly unimpressive, generic, and overpriced. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
