We discovered The Slip on our recent trip to Redondo Beach. Ate there 3 times in 3 days, as it was that good. My husband loved the burger, cooked exactly like he asked. I’m Vegetarian and there was so much to choose from. The Garden Burger Rueben was fantastic, as was the grilled cheese with fire roasted garlic tomatoes. Fries are to die for! Cold beers, friendly servers and best prices for truly made-with-care food. Can’t wait to go back.

I’ve lived in the LA area for 8 years and this was my first time ever at Redondo Beach Pier(yes, really. I’m still very much a tourist here). My daughter(teenager) and I were getting hungry and decided to stop here based on the Unilocal reviews, and I’m so glad that we did. The place isn’t huge and it was pretty busy when we showed up. I was greeted right away by a blonde haired woman(sorry, didn’t get a name) who I believe may have been an owner or manager of some sort; she was surprisingly warm and friendly. It was just before sunset and I suppose everyone else had the same idea to grab a drink and a bite in front of a beautiful view of the sunset all while listening to some live music, so there weren’t anymore tables available. I honestly expected the lady to just tell me «sorry», but she didn’t. Without any hesitation she told me to hang on for a sec, grabbed an empty table near the«stage» area and made room for my daughter & I. Her hospitality was exceptional. The waiter(wish I had gotten his name… and number :)) was great and ready to offer suggestions. We ended up ordering the Slip Burger & Pork Belly(BLTA) with a half order of Roasted Rosemary Garlic Fries, and it was more than enough food for two. Burgers were amazing, cooked perfectly; the fries had a perfect ration of Rosemary & Garlic, they were a little greasy, but in a good kinda way. I cant tell you about the drinks because I don’t drink alcohol, but it looked like they had a good size drink menu. We left here happy and full, and eager to return. Thanks Slip Bar & Eatery and Lisa Ritchie(singer from Michigan) for a for making our first time at Redondo Beach Pier memorable. –peace

Checked out this new spot on the pier and it is now my new favorite place! Not only was it a hip and trendy atmosphere but the food was amazing! We ordered two wines, two beers and most amazing Parmesan fries and a bbq Chicken pizza that was so tasty! And our bill was only $ 40! Best place on the pier if you ask me and will be my new spot!

Decent little bar on the boardwalk. We ran by this place by accident since Naja’s was packed so we gave this little place a try. Good service, tap selection and decent prices. View of the wharf is a bonus.

Nice new restaurant! Happy hour prices were great, $ 7 for a classic burger or kale salad. We had the Brussels sprouts(delicious!), and outlaw burger(delicious and spicy!). Live music was supposed to start at 8, the band had not arrived even yet at 8:15 so we left. They did have some good 80s music videos playing on a flat screen so we enjoyed that.

The Godfather Sandwich from @theslipbar on Redondo Pier. The place is a nice addition to the once downtrodden Redondo Pier. This place has the perfect divey boat vibe. If that’s a thing. Good crowd, great music, and videos to correspond. If your playing Huey Lewis videos, you get an extra thumbs up. Huge beer selection, aggressive happy hour specials and a small cozy bar atmosphere. You can see the boats, enjoy some sun, and enjoy a frosty. Today was enjoyed without frosties but did have some good snacks. The Godfather Sandwich is all the essential fatty cured meats of Italian lore. The presentation was beautiful with a balsamic reduction underneath the sandwich. The sandwich wasn’t mind blowing but it was very pleasurable to the pallet. I’m an instant fan and will for sure be back to try some more items.

I have no idea how the ONE girl who was attending to everyone there was able to bounce from the 100’s of people there, take their order, clear tables and remembered everything. But she did. It was ridiculous. That alone is worth a stop and see. In a zoo that is usually the boardwalk, this is a magical feat. Good job, girl-who-worked-Saturday-night. The wings… a suggestion, leave in for another 3 minutes(undercooked). The garlic fries are awesome.

This is a must!!! The best place in RB! Local feel and beach vibe, but current and super casual and fun! The beer selection alone would be reason enough to come here… but, drum roll, the FOODISTODIEFOR!!! Check our the quinoa salad and the«grilled cheese»…you will not be dissappointed! Service is exceptional and the entertainment was beyond… check it out for sure!!!

Finally a great place along the boardwalk that has a great menu and a full bar. Loved the menu! Not full of typical bar/fried food. We ordered the«Hey Chicken» sandwich and margherita pizza with the added tomatoes and basil and were very satisfied. I just had to order the Hey Chicken based on the name alone being a nod to a loved local John. Both items were prepared perfectly. You can tell they take pride in their menu and food and it shows when delivered. Do you have a chin stroking IPA loving friend? The slip can satisfy your friend. There is a large selection of beers on tap and bottles ranging from local brews, beers with a lot of hops, to the standard beers. So you have delicious food, great selection of beers, a full bar and the staff are very friendly. What are you waiting for? Forgot to mention they have a lot of tvs for any sports event.

Great little place! Hope it helps with bigger and better things for the pier. They have a good menu and food. Plus, they try to do various event to drive traffic. It can get a little stuffy in the summer as the city would not permit them to open up the windows or front like Naja’s but that makes it cozy in the winter. Worth a try!

New place and I kinda like it… There are old pics of the Redondo Pier from the 20s/30s… this one in particular is a black & white of ladies lined up in their funky retro swimsuits. I like the throwback nostalgia and attention to Redondo Beach pier history. I had the Coronado Beer on tap, Orange Avenue Wit, and appreciate their eclectic variety… thought it was strange, though, they would feature a San Diego beer in Redondo Beach, but hey!, I liked the beer. We also had The Godfather pizza which surprisingly was super delicious– more of a thin crust/flatbread style pizza, heavy on the cheese, quality ingredients. Overall, this place was a nice little spot and I dig its vibe. I would only suggest painting the inside a more ‘intimate’ color versus having white walls to give it more of a dark pub style to match the outer aesthetic of the place. Say… slate gray? That would perfectly compliment the deep navy on the outside.

We found you because we we not pleased with Barneys Beanery today. Sure there are plenty of locations on the pier that offer football but they don’t have sports packages. We are so pleased to have come here for our first time and see that you not only have the football package — offer great pizza, cold beer and great service. Thank You Taylor. And Carlos. We loved the service and the kind and personal greetings… You are our new walking to, football watching, beer drinking, pizza eating spot… Very happy

Since my last review Jim has been in contact with me to let me know that he’s made changes to his business. This shows that he truly does care about his business and his customers. If a person takes time out of their busy day to try and correct some mistakes with their customers it shows a lot about that person and they definitely deserve a second chance. Even though my experience was bad, I think Jim has done enough to make future customers experience better.

Excellent place and a great addition to Redondo. Every thing you can want in a bar/eatery…friendly atmosphere. We watch all of the Manchester City games at the bar. Great selection of local beer as well as cocktails. Great selection of TV’s to watch the game.

Great addition to the Boardwalk. This is the ONLY sports bar on the Boardwalk, which is amazing. Anyhow, great location, great food, great games, good times. A little small, but for now, works nicely. Good job Slip! Also, I should mention, Stephanie was an awesome bartender. Took care of everything with a smile… thanks!

My friends and I had fun watching the sunset and drinking beers! We ordered food and it tasted good! Everyone there was super nice. Not sure if I’ll go back there but cool place to stop by if your on the pier or biking by! 9−20−15 I made it back to The Slip!!! Watched a football game with my husband and friends today. We had an awesome time! I would like to give a shout out to Philip our waiter who took care of us the whole time we were there! I was amazed because he seem like the busiest worker there! I liked that he would ask us more than once if we needed more drinks and food. I really only needed a drink but ended up getting more drinks and food! Great food btw! If you visit The Slip ask for Philip! Thank you!
