I’ve been eyeing this colorful shop since it opened last September. Today was the day I finally stopped the car and went inside, and I am so glad I did. The proprietor, Elsa, is a delight, what a friendly, charming lady! She would not let me take her photo, though! Booooooo… hahaha…maybe next time. Sofa Secret’s biz card says they offer custom sofas, draperies, accessories, and inspiration. I was definitely inspired. I love unusual furniture pieces, especially those that are vintage. Wouldn’t ya know, I spotted a chair that I love. The price is too good to pass it up, so… yes, I will probably go back for it, even though I already have more chairs than Carter has little liver pills(the young ‘uns can Google that expression… haha…). I spotted a great lamp, too, heaven help me. I was smitten with the cool throw pillows as well. I love those things, and I use them to tie a room together when I get done loading the space up with my eclectic furniture finds. Elsa is an Interior Designer, but, as she told me… not a hoity-toity one(thank you). She will create just about anything custom, from fabric, and do re-upholstery too. They will also build custom wood furniture pieces. This is a place to unleash your imaginative ideas, obviously, and make ‘em a reality. I’m thinking of using that high-backed chair for a computer chair, how ’bout that… I know… it can be my Mother’s Day gift to myself. Oh Joan, I love it! It’s perfect! How did you know I wanted a chair just like this?! You really shouldn’t have…: D
