I had the fish tacos, which were alright, but for some reason not as great or flavorful as the ones I’ve had in recent memory. For those of you that haven’t been to Wahoo’s, you just walk up to the counter and place an order after reading what you wanted from a board on the wall. You can order beer here, which is a nice touch to a fast food place. Once you seat yourself, the food is delivered to your table. The service was really good. They kept coming to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything else. There was no pressure to make us leave although they were pretty busy at the time. Good for a quick bite!

Yuck. 2nd bad experience. 1st one involved me being very I’ll after eating fish tacos. Food poisoning is such a hard thing to pinpoint but I was fairly certain it was the fish. It’s been almost a year since I’ve been back. Fast forward to today. Ordered beef tacos. They were cold. The plate was hot but the meat — wet and cold. Barely hit the grill. Cheese cold. Dripping wet lettuce. Disgusting. I told the cashier. Very nice and responsive. Gave an immediate refund. So — no matter how hungry I am this place is not an option. I’d give zero stars if I could. The 1 star is for the nice cashier.

Been to Wahoos many times in Manhattan Beach and have never been disappointed. This location really dirty and salmon we ordered smelled rotten and we had to send it back. Will not be back here again.

I love their food, particularly their Kalua Pig Bowl with the white spicy beans, the staff is very friendly and helpful in attending to your needs. The one reason I don’t give them 5 stars, is from the previous reviews, where the customer’s said to be aware that there is an extra charge for certain side items, you would normally assume were free. I mention this because for some reason, the person ringing me up, always asks me if I want my receipt. I usually say no, because all I get is a bowl dish and bottled water. It’s just kind of strange, that they wouldn’t just give me the receipt automatically instead of asking if I want one. I am sure this is really nothing, but will check my receipt next time. I will advise if there is a discrepancy.

I’ve been a fan of Wahoo’s for a while and always enjoy the fish tacos or fish burritos. The reason for the missing start is for whatever reason my order always seem to be incorrect. Something is always missing or added, or the meat isn’t what I order. I usually don’t complain because the food is always tasty. I just look at it as tasty Russian roulette. Plus everything seems to be ‘extra’ but you don’t find out till you’re done putting in your order. I’ve come to the point where I just don’t add anything since my burrito will usually be different than what I ask for :)

I’ve been a Wahoo’s super fan since 1990, back in the day when there were just two OC locations. Wing Lam was way out in front of the curve on fresh Baja Mex deliciousness. Wahoo’s has a great surfy vibe and tasty tacos, bowls and burritos. Do yourself a favor and try it someday soon.

Had a great time and the food was excellent. Vinny was very helpful and pleasant. We wanted to leave a tip but had no cash. Recommend updating the credit card system so a tip can be added. Even Jersey Mikes allows you to leave a tip on a charge. We all know that Wahoos is awesome. Thanks for a lot of great times and meals. I had another great time at Wahoos. I took my 98 year old Uncle Joe. He enjoyed the beer, chips and salsa and the atmosphere. It is not easy to please my uncle when it comes to restaurants so I am happy to add this to our list or go to places.

meh, i’ve experienced better. maybe because i’ve had so much tacos, burritos, fish tacos from so many other places and/or maybe because i’m used to big flavor and good spices but this place to me seems bland. i’ve gotten similar remarks from my co-workers so I know it can’t just be me. the Food isn’t bad, it’s just not that great. The staff is super pleasant thought.

I recently started dining at Wahoo’s and realized how healthy and tasty menu they offer. If I have choice of Chi*****, Fla***B******, and Wahoo’s, I will choose Wahoo’s. I normally order a bowl, it is more likely a huge platter. In the bowl, I get to choose meat, and brown rice with black bean, pico de gallo with steamed veggies. I choose sauce on the side, then there comes my lightly seasoned meat, beans and not seasoned veggies and rice. Love it! I think all fish and shrimp bowls are marinated and cooked with cajun style seasoning. The servers here are very attentive and friendly, the restaurant isn’t big but kinda cozy. The parking might be a hassle because the mall is tiny, but Trader Joe customers quickly come and go so after a few minutes of waiting, I was able to find a spot. Outside the mall is all surrounded by metered parking, it could be an option.

Normally don’t write reviews on chain restaurants, but I felt compelled to write one for my local Wahoos. Like all Wahoos, the food is great with plenty of healthy options. But what I love about this location is the friendly service. The staff treats you better here than most sit down restaurants. There isn’t a wait staff, yet they still come by and check up on you. The food is always great too. This is how a restaurant should be run!

The go-to item that I have ordered every time since they opened is the Screamin’ Chicken Burrito. This gargantuan beast is loaded with beans, chicken, rice, and all of the stuff you need to combat that morning after feeling on a Saturday morning. It’s got a beautiful location too; grab a seat outside and people watch as everyone tries to get a parking spot in the merry go round lot that holds Starbucks, Trader Joe’s and Verizon. LOL.

I have the kale salad with salmon. It was excellent. Healthy. Delicious. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for natural food that tastes good.

This Wahoo’s location is located in the Riviera Village shopping center in Redondo Beach, right next to Trader Joe’s. They have a great patio out front with ample seating and umbrella-covered tables. The interior is what you would expect from any Wahoo’s location — filled with stickers and a great beachy, surf community vibe. My most recent trip to this location was a few weeks ago during a Saturday. I saw that they posted that they were having an event on their Facebook page so we decided to go check it out. They had a live guitarist out on the patio and he played really great songs! We ordered our food and were stoked to find out that they had a new IPA from Strand Brewing Co. on tap now! Craft beer with my fish tacos? Yes please! I ordered by favorite maui bowl with black beans and a side cheese enchilada. Great as always. I love their salsa — fresh and made daily — and I also pour copious amounts of Cholula hot sauce on top. So good. We also tried the new Citrus Slaw tacos with salmon. super good! The slaw is dressed with citrus and super refreshing. Perfect with fish! Why didn’t Wahoo’s have this years ago?! We will be revisiting more often this summer!

This was probably my 3rd visit to wahoo’s. As I came in I was greeted by two girls. The cashier and another employee cleaning the tables. They were very friendly, as I was looking at the menu the cashier asked me if I had any questions, I’m sure because I looked confused hehe I ordered the taco and enchilada. Chicken taco mild and cheese enchilada with black beans and brown rice. It was delicious and satisfying. While I was waiting for my food to come out, I noticed the lunch rush coming in. It went from two tables to 8 tables in a matter of 10 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to see how the two girl handle themselves. The girls were running up and down serving everyones food and picking up the dirty plates left behind. When the girl dropped my food, she told me to enjoy, she kept on coming back to ask if we were ok and if we needed anything. I know it was probably not mandatory but I left tip on the table, although they are considered«cashiers» they delivered good service as any other food server at a dine in. Will be back.

Yay, another Wahoos Fish Taco joint! Absolutely can’t get enough of this place. I really like the new location as it’s located in the Riviera Village next to Trader Joes. It makes it convenient to grab some lunch and then go shopping for your groceries in TJs which it’s always a good idea to not go grocery shopping on an empty stomach lest you buy everything in sight. The staff is very friendly here and I recognized the manager Maria C. from the Manhattan Beach location. On the last visit for lunch, I ordered the Power Chopper Salad with regular chicken, brown rice and a mix of white and black beans. I usually get it with the cilantro salad dressing and did so this time. I think it’s a really tasty salad and healthy as well. I saw one of the employees eating a plate of what looked like scrambled eggs, rice and black beans which looked really good. I asked if that was a new item on the menu and she confessed it wasn’t and was something they made for themselves. The scrambled eggs were mixed with a really finely chopped spicy pepper which gave it a really nice kick she said. She said she would give me a little sample which was really cool of her. Too bad the plate isn’t on the menu because this dish rocked! Loved the spicy flavor of the eggs, yumz! This is as great place to get some good fare and the staff is super friendly. I’m definitely a fan of Wahoo’s and will be back!
