Usually this place is a solid 2. Its kinda dirty, and you only go there if you have no other choice, and the taco truck next to Hoover Community School has a line or is not serving people. This morning(1⁄21), I was there around 11AM. I was the only customer in the store. The clerk there was nice and pleasant enough. He put on some gloves and started helping me — I am not sure if he washed his hands. While he was taking my order, his cell phone started ringing, and he ignored it. Once he put my order into the grill, he took out his phone and answered it with his gloves still on. He did tell the person on the phone that he was with a customer, and proceeded to put down the phone to take my sandwich out of the grill once that timer was done. He proceeded to grab the paper that my sandwich is on with the gloved hand he just used to hold and operate his cell phone. Luckily he did not touch any food because of cell phones are FILTHY( ). It was nice that he changed out his gloves without hesitation AFTER I asked him. It would have been nicer had he not touched his dirty phone in the first place, or touched the things that food is on after touching his phone. But, apparently, that may be too much to ask. Also, all of the tomatoes looked more white/pink than red.

I literally work across the street from this Subway. I tried it one time when I first started my new job. What a disappointment. This subway is in a very shady strip mall with giant trash bins, hordes of seagulls picking trash and pooping all over, and beggars asking for a dollar in front of the Subway. I would not dare walk after dark. This particular Subway location is not up to Subway standards, both in service, ceanliness of tables and the floor, and freshness of food. I ordered a chicken breast sub on a whole wheat with some veggies. The chicken in my sandwich was stale, gone bad, smelled bad. I could not eat it, this is a first in a Subway for me. The chicken must have been left at room temperature overnight or perhaps for several days in the fridge for it to taste and smell like that. I have never gone back since and never will. I’d rather buy pretzels from a vending machine at work than walk to this Subway to get stale, smelly chicken sub.

This is a great Subway. I’d forgotten my lunch a few times when I was working as a stock clerk at CVS Pharmacy in the same shopping center, and I got great sandwiches here. Highly recommend!

Just meet Josiah today and he is the most friendly and sweetest person I have met so far on my trip to subway. Had a nice chat and made me an awesome sandwich. The negative side is that it’s so understaffed! You can do only so many things at once if you are an employee here! It’s always slow because of it. Josiah is very educated and wants to peruse a career in criminal justice. They hire great people just not enough! Thanks Josiah! –Wendy

I asked for provolone cheese and they told me they no longer carry that and that mozzarella cheese was almost the same. Apparently the decision to stop carrying provolone cheese is solely at the discretion of the franchisee. Which means that the manager of a chain italian sandwich shop(which is what they effectively are) elected not to carry an italian cheese. By the way don’t ever use your credit card at subway, I learned the hard way.

Slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww service. I have NOCHOICE but to come here(when I want subway) since I work down the street & this is the nearest one available — UGH. EVERYSINGLETIME — and I swear by this — EVERYSINGLEFREAKENTIME I come here, it takes the employees more than 10minutes to make me a sandwich! If I’m ordering a flatizza pizza, it’s 15−20mins! I’m usually a patient person and I feel somewhat bad for giving them a BAD review(because the staff are all so friendly and really nice) but they move sooooooooo sooooooooo slowwwwwwwwww– It’s so irritating! I’ll be standing there looking at them like, «uhhhhhhh…really??? REALLY???» One of the guys even decided to do inventory and take a phone call while I was waiting to pay. I had to interrupt his phone call and say something because he had me watiing for 3mins(3 minutes is a long time when you’re on a 1 hour lunch break!) And if he reallyyyy needed to take the phone call, he should’ve multitasked. All he needed to do was swipe my card and I would’ve been out of there *sigh* With all that being said, if you don’t care about wasting time & if you want to take a 10 – 25 minute visit to subway(when in actuallity it should be a 5min visit!) feel free to stop by here!
